- Turkey hunting and those that pursue it know that failure is often the outcome when chasing strutters in the spring. There are underlying and often repetitive reasons that a turkey hunter can walk away without a bird over their shoulder.
Today Jason Cruise, host of Mossberg's Rugged American Hunter series, walks you through three key reasons why you might be getting outsmarted by toms.
Turkey hunting is far more than just calling at turkeys. It takes woodsmanship and knowledge of how to be a student of the wild turkey itself.

Since I’m over 50 yrs old, I call a lot less and sit much longer. It’s a deadly combination that if I used when I was young I’d would have bagged so many more birds. Good advice in this video.
Thank you for being part of the Mossberg hunting community! Hope Spring goes well for you.

Thanks Keegan. Glad you're a part of us, too!
I've been following Jason's advice for the past five years and it's worked for me.
Thank you Don. Hope you can throw a bird over your shoulder this Spring!

Excellent advice!
Hey thanks so much for watching. Go get 'em this Spring!
Are 6 3/4" action slide tubes ever coming back in stock?
Thank you for asking Skylar. The short answer is: we are working on that part but it's not out yet. It's been in discussion for a while and we are working on it.
Cool, thanks.
