    I’ve watched countless videos from major hunting personalities/channels. You managed to boil everything down to a 15 minute video of phenomenal knowledge. Everything that was grey to me makes so much sense now! Thanks, and keep up the good work!

    Very good tutorial..I’ve been hunting turkeys 28yrs..80% of the toms were NOT over water..maybe it was just how things were in the area that became gold standard

      Could be, with wild animals nothing can ever be certain and that’s what makes it fun!

    This was so helpful. I'm recently retired (Dec 2022), been interested in turkey hunting my whole life, but have never had time - until now. That said, I am a 67 yr old novice. Sure would like to talk and learn all I can. How can I get in touch? Blessings!!

    I'm out here in western montana and have found tons of wild turkeys not far from where I live, the problem is that 99% of the areas that I've seen the turkeys are on private land (cow pastures and feilds). Above the areas I've seen turkeys is national forest. I guess what I'm asking is how much does elevation affect the turkeys. Would I have a decent chance if I got to the national forest above these fields and hunted there?

    • @manvsdeer
      @manvsdeer  Рік тому +2

      I would think that after the initial fly down and strutting that they would work back into the timber and especially at night when the go to roost

    How many visits do you usually need to make?

    • @manvsdeer
      @manvsdeer  Рік тому +1

      Depends on the area and what’s around. If I find birds sometimes once is enough if it’s a quiet morning or a big area I may go back several times
