Let's break it down and have some fun! Comment what you hope to see in the season finale! 🎩

Looking forward to seeing Sutherland face when he finds out everything is going to Anne LISTER.
Honestly I hope he gets absolutely worked in episode 8 but I wonder if instead Ann will find out he's stolen half her inheritance or something.
But do you know the real history. Lister died in her forties so it all went to walker and her family had her commited to an asylum and got it anyway
@@ronhunt2254 the captain moved into shibden until his death, also his daughter died whilst living there too
That's what I said they got it anyway
Anne does not want to fuel the rumors of her micromanaging her wife.
If you notice on this episode, she reiterates that "It's nothing to do with her" which, in the grand scheme of things, is true since it's Ann's lands and properties. And she gets to decide what she wants to do with them.
Anne just sees herself as the person (being the more experienced one) guiding her through the process.
Excellent point, though I still think saying something when your wife is insulted in public is not the same as micromanaging.
Your recaps are the best!! I love that you cover the business storylines that A.L. is involved in, while most all other video recaps focus only on the lesbian drama. The women's relationship is the focus of the show but the way A.L. navigated the business world as a woman is fascinating, too.
I loved seeing captain sutherland progressively unravel during the course of the episode 🤣
Yes it was so cathartic watching Ann not be intimidated after how he tried to take over her whole life back in season 1!
Love your recaps Amanda. 👏😂🍾😆🥰
Awe thank you!
Lister can't stand up 4 her because it will confirm to Walker's family that lister is behind all that Walker is doing and it's why lister keeps saying to the old guy that all of it isn't her business..she wants ppl to think that Walker is capable of defending herself and make her own choices...
I agree with you why didn't Ann take up for Anne Walker? Ann Lister does change after they said their vows to one another. It was interesting. The priestly woman is a gossip and a trouble maker.
thank you for this funny take on them
Keep them going enjoy your take on the shows hope you enjoy your top hat
Hahahaha me too! I'm hoping it fits well cause sometimes I like to dance etc on camera 😂
I think Anne is trying to show that Ann makes her own decisions in the store because everyone’s keep saying anne is interfering with her land etc.
Maybe Anne Lister didn't want to reaffirm the impression / gossip that she is controlling "weak" Ann Walker by fighting her battles for her. Plus, she tells Ann they need to ignore the ridicule of others - rise above it.
Ann Walker is much stronger than others think. She stands up to Anne Lister - which hardly anyone has the ovaries to do! Lol
As an actress she one of our nation's darlings, qaulity 😊
Suranne or Sophie? They're both darlings guess it doesn't matter ha! Though I think you must have been talking Jones because frankly I think she steals the scene no matter who she's playing or what show she's in.
@@AmandaCostner suranne she's been on our screens for years in the most incredible dramas, class act 😁
But is it not better than way, because Ann has been saying that she feels like people ignore her, Anne is just giving her a chance to stend op for her self.
This is a good point! Although I don't think AW stood up for herself...I need to rewatch the scene but my memory is that she kind of stood there with her jaw on the floor...
But what about Mariana ? This season is almost ending!! I want to know what will happen with her. Hope the writers will make a good one
She dies aged 62? Way before her husband, who she married for money, guess being a gold digger didn't quite pay off for her
I was a little surprised we haven't gotten much of her the last few episodes, but I suspect the writers are going to have some fireworks in ep 8 and maybe they feel like whatever happens with Mariana at the end is more than enough. I hope you're right and we get some good Mariana fire too!
@@jag5470 Marianna died aged 80, her husband died 6 years before her. Marianna went to London and lived with one of her sisters until her death.
I'm seeing scenes in your recaps, that aren't shown in the episodes on hbo. So I'm staying confused.
Sorry Donna, I was watching live every week when the show came on the BBC through a VPN (you have to get a VPN so the BBC doesn't know what country you're in).
Captain Sutherland's wife has no rights whatever.
And he’s way to desperate for money. Wonder if he has a gambler and spent his family’s money.
Indeed, how lucky I feel when watching this show that most modern women are no longer required to let a man run their life (though in some countries this is very much still the case 😩)
I too wonder if he's spent their money....hopefully it was just his family's money (although that sucks for Elizabeth). Gambling addict is a good guess though!
I t does seem like AL does not stick up for AW help out her wife leaves her hanging a lot come on!
Yeah, I wondered if the Rawsons and the politics of Halifax came into play...but I don't know AL was plenty rude to Chris Rawson when she saw fit so that doesn't really make sense...
I can review episode seven there’s only five episodes available so how are you have a reaction video to video that’s not even out yet there’s only five episodes
Unfortunately without a VPN in America (and other countries as well) you have to watch with HBO and HBO is several episodes behind the BBC. I didn't want to wait so I've been using a VPN! Not that it matters but it's really annoying that they did this, the fanbase shouldn't be divided like this where large portions of it are at risk of being spoiled.
@@AmandaCostner season 1 of gentleman Jack was broadcast in America 3 weeks before it started being shown on BBC in UK. So it was Britain's turn this time. lol
