The Ultimatum: Queer Love wrapped it's first season (the queer version is technically a spinoff) in the middle of PRIDE, but the reunion left much to be desired.....I'm here to give you all the juicy goss, who's loyal to who? I thought it would be out like 5 days before I finished it.....originally I wanted it to be like 6 minutes (it ended up being 20), halfway through editing is when Natasha fulfilled the cameo request and I ended up honestly focusing most of my editing energy on how awesome Natasha is lol. Oh, yah, and right when I was finishing up a 14 hr editing day, my wife was like "oh I kind of forgot about that show" and my gay little heart freaked out like "holy crap was this whole week a waste of time?1?!" then I realized I didn't care also I'm so behind on the AJLT premiere but also this was a lot of fun and my wife is the best she spent 10 minutes trying to walk it back and tell me she suddenly had a renewed interest in the show love is amazing yall thanks for reading sending you internet hugs from a chubby internet lesbian ☺️❤️
Lexi's obsession with Vanessa feels like she's using her as an emotional scapegoat for everything that went wrong with Rae.
Yeah she dragged Rae on the show and then Rae felt so pressured to propose... ugh. Vanessa didn't ruin them, they were already done like overcooked pasta.

Lexi was truly the most 24yo 24 year old on that show. Like she embodied what it is like to be 24 so well. You think you have your shit together, you think you know what you want, you think you know it all. So, I am not surprised she is acting different now at ALL. Me too. Tiff seems to be using their position to help others and I cannot commend that enough. Also just in my minor interactions with them Tiff seems like a genuine person 💯
I really loved their video and all the information they provided about forms of abuse in relationships! One thing that I’m not sure how to feel about was something Amanda the Jedi said in the last minute of her video on the show, that the support group Tiff was promoting in their video charges $40 for people to join and isn’t run by a therapist. Idk if that’s normal or not for a support group like that though.
@@JNDReacts I participated in the the online zoom call last week. Paid the $40. I can honestly say it was worth it. Not only am I now connected with others who are dealing with the same trauma, I felt it was worth it to have a group of people who genuinely care about me as a person. Tiff did a great job, and wasn't trying to "play" therapist. They basically just gave us a forum to connect and talk and share and support in a small group setting. I would pay again for a group chat, because when you're in the situation, you often feel alone and don't know how to connect with others. 3 of us are really close proximity geographically too, so it helps.

@@bethanybarnett5104 That’s great! It sounds like when I was in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, where we had a weekly group therapy session. At the time I was misdiagnosed with BPD, but just being in a group with others who had similar experiences with mental health problems was a big help. And another comment mentioned they added a therapist to the group, so it definitely sounds like Tiff’s doing great work!
Vanessa hands down has shown the most growth. Meanwhile, Lexie matured in reverse lol. She went from BoSsBaBe WiFeY to kandi-kid 😂 like wtf
I feel she was never mature. She sl*t shamed her partner in front of everyone and even said she was going to tell her grandfather 😂 like girl gramps does NOT care nor should he 💀
I was worried for Rae. But I’m glad they are not getting married. Lexi had Rae on a very short leash and it was hard to watch how hard Rae was trying to please Lexi.
Yoly just disgusts me with her take on Tiff’s side of the story. It’s like… yeah Tiff isn’t gonna make too much sense when 1) their aggressor is RIGHT THERE interrupting them before they can even get a full sentence out and 2) I’m sure Tiff has thoroughly been through the wringer with Mildred gaslighting them and making sure they don’t know the difference between heads and tails.

How? She was only on the show to get a pass to date others. She thought she was so hot everyone wanted her but nobody wanted xander. Asoon as she realised xander wanted someone else she lost it and did a full 180 wanting xander back and wanting marriage. She wanted control. She only wanted what she had when it was someone else’s. She wanted to fool around and have xander waiting like a good little dog.

@@marig9236while I agree Vanessa doesn't deserve hate per say, what I've noticed is everyone glossing over everything Vanesa said and did during the first part of the show. As well as how twisted her attempts to get Xander back were. Its almost like all her actions pre the second half have been wiped clean and everyone seems to forget how horrid she actually was.
Especially with that painfully performative apology she gave the group citing growth we never once saw in the show, like honestly, you can only blame an edit so much. Her dad literally called her out and she still failed to acknowledge things. her treatment of Xander is also suddenly completely ignored......although Xander themselves didn't help the situation lol. Utter nonsense!
Don't get me wrong. Vanessa definitely got overshadowed by other's bad deeds but to minimise them to the degree people seem to be is baffling to me

@@TY-dk2kw thank you! Yes my initial desire was to learn Gujarati but there is just no tools out there for that. So I’m at a basic leaning level with Hindi. If you have any young childrens programing to recommend that would be great. I have found the things I just stumble across are on Yt and Netflix are like half English half Hindi. Glad to connect and thank you!

@@et5895 haha it takes roughly an hour for a minute of edited footage (sometimes less or more). I probably spent 40 hrs including filming on this video. Ideally it would be less but I’m one of those people who gets lost in the details so I always take longer than I wish 😩

In terms of the Lexi criticism: I just don’t see how so many people seem to think being unapologetically ambitious/type A and making sexy/lighthearted social media posts cancel each other out. People are people and they have many sides. No hate, it’s just giving a “you cant be hot *and* smart” vibe to me.
I think a lot of the criticism of Lexi is not over that, it is more over her going in hard about Vanessa being here for the wrong reasons all the while she is an influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers... also not to mention Lexi policing Vanessa's own emotions and wants. There is no "right" or "wrong" reason to be on a reality TV show.

I really wanna know why no one is acknowledgeding that in a separate recent podcast Mal essentially said Vanessa held views that were super problematic and *that* is why she stopped dating Vanessa and part of why Lexi couldn’t believe Rae would want to date her. Mal said she wants to protect queerhood so she won’t say exactly what Vanessa’s views were and what she said, but it’s clear it was some fucked up shit. Is it a podcast called “Cool cool cool”? I googled it and that’s what came up but haven’t yet listened to it. I did find an article where Mal said their ideologies didn’t line up but I’m honestly not sure what’s going on. So far all I’ve seen is Lexi’s TikTok which I wasn’t sure what that was alluding to. So one post about the cheating thing that I saw on Reddit was that Mal commented on Yoly’s video about the cheating and also confirmed that it happened, and Yoly replied to the comment saying, “Hi Mal.” I can’t remember if what I saw was a link to the comments or a screenshot of them. Obviously a screenshot could be faked. I’m not on TikTok and idk if that video is still up for someone to check the comments.

I also think it makes Mal comments about yoly 100% invalid about her falling for anyone, bc she did that herself. So projection really. No to mention Mal was VERY eager to date multiple ppl at first... almost like she wasn't more eager to leave the show and just marry yoly 😂

As a capricorn like lexi I can say that I see a lot of myself in her. We can be mature, driven, insightful, stubborn, etc when we need to be but we can also be fun, light hearted, etc when we want to be. But we take our love lives very seriously bc we have strict standards for ourselves and our partners. Lexi knows who she is and what she wants.

Am I the only one that thinks Tiff is not the angel and victim she is presenting herself to be? I understand she's been a victim of physical violence and all but she refused to leave. Like... just leave? Why keep going if that is not good for either of you. She knew, even acknowledged it on the show and even after the point where it got to physical violence she decided to stay. I'm sorry but Tiff is not 100% the victim, she needs to own some of the blame too.
Tiff is 100% the victim of DV. I will not argue they displayed toxic behavior and no doubt they are an imperfect human. However I do not agree with victim blaming. In addition, Tiff did leave after the violence occurred in front of Mildred’s son. Of course we all wish people in these situations would leave sooner but it is not always easy to leave.
I would do some reading, like from NCADV's article on "Why Do Victims Stay?". This comment is harmful and ignorant to DV victims.

She did leave for everyone's protection. It not easy to leave an abusive relationship and regardless of intent it is harmful to say "why not just leave?" To a victim of domestic violence
