Burnout 2: Point of Impact has been one of my all time favorite video games for a very long time. Something I really like about your review is that it's really the only one I've seen on UA-cam so far that doesn't pretty much just devolve into "Yeah this game is okay, but the sequel is really where it's at." This is one of the only reviews for this game that I've seen where you actually understand what makes the game so great and even recommend other people to try it out. I subscribed months ago and going back to all these Burnout reviews again has been a joy. I just wish you got more recognition.
I've enjoyed playing this game for years and years and still play it to this day. There's nothing else quite like drifting through the tracks boosting all the way. It also has some of the best music ever! Those guitar riffs are amazing
The blue and yellow supercar is the only car to push this game with. You can race every level chaining burnouts the whole way. it has the top speed and the best handling.
The burnout series is the pinnacle of how development is done right. BO1 was awesome when I was kid. Then BO2 turned it up to 11. THEN BO3 came out and it was the best game ever. Innovation was key during these games but never got too far away from the roots
I'm a PC gamer and this was the only game I wished if I could have a PS2 to play it. As an early 2nd gen console title: The Visuals were way ahead than pc racing games, such the Motion blur effect, the shiny glowing asphalt, reflective car paints etc.. That time we only had an inferior PC port for NFS HP2 as the closest alternative. wich doesn't have the Boost nor the Takedown mechanics.
@@MyOldNameWasTaken It's stupid as fuck because if we had them on PC we could've modded the games to death, and multiplayer would've still be working to this day even if EA took it down modders always find a way, too bad they never ported them, big mistake.
Burnout 2 had one of the most infamous glitches ever..... The flying truck glitch. For this glitch it randomly occures in Crash Mode, causing huge ass cash points to be racked up, and it's also funny. Also, yeah, Point Of Impact is a good action movie title.
I do want to try the developer's cut, but I'm pretty sure it's an NTSC exclusive release and I'm in Australia and really don't want to buy an American xbox for one game
While I prefer Burnout 3 in nearly every single way, I do like the weather effects and manual transmission of Burnout 2. _Especially_ the manual transmission.
Loved this one. I know people talk up Burnout 3 but imo that game overemphasized crashes as a mechanic and it totally changed the balance. Whereas 2 was just a great if straightforward arcade racer. The crashes did look good but they weren't the point.
I feel like Burnout 3 is overrated and Burnout 2 doesn't get the respect it deserves. Burnout 2 really matches the element of speed with the music building as you use your boost, along with the motion blur as you speed past traffic, driving dangerously. There's pursuit mode, and I enjoyed busting every vehicle on the list. Then there's the famous crash mode where you can release your desire for destruction.
Burnout was a series that was fun for a very short while but then gets highly boring after too many slow motion crashes that it is no longer interesting.
It's a shame this channel doesn't have more views

Burnout 3 is one of the greatest games of all time
Burnout 2 theme is legendary
It was also used as the theme for burnout revenge on xbox 360
@@xXSupahXFlyXx yeah and the remix was used in dominator and paradise

That made up scenario at the beginning was brilliant 😂
Can't wait for your review on Burnout 3!
Never played this as a kid but I love the music and how it becomes more upbeat when boosting.

I find Burnout 2 to be the best in the series and Burnout Revenge! I was surprised that Burnout 2 never got remastered in HD!

Burnout 3: Takedown is amazing. And Burnout Dominator is underrated.
I love all of the games to be honest
Burnout Revenge was pretty dope.
I love all the games too

Burnout has always been one of the few sources of salty PC gamer tears.
I'm glad i've always owned both

This game was a HUGE part of my childhood. I had the gc version and I think this was the first game I 100%ed
i cant explain just how much i ❤ this ruddy game
I find it strange that both this and Burnout 1 have a timer despite both being console games.
Feel like it's there just to give off that arcade feel
"Leave others in the dust Don't let them get in your way" 😂
Makes me wish I had the Xbox version because of the bonus paint jobs!!

8:56 as a guy who play burnout this is funny
Taking turns at crash mode with friends, seeing who can get the most points, never got old. It's mf-ing POINT OF IMPACT bish!!
easily my fave Burnout title. Before takedowns were introduced.
Burnout is the only car game franchise i care about
Can I play this game on an xbox 360 S?
4:00 Wait, does this mean you're gonna review NFS HP 2010 sometime in the future?
Yes.
Oi mate review What The Golf? Guys made this one also made that Donut County game. It's quite challenging to 100% though easy to finish
I do want to try the developer's cut, but I'm pretty sure it's an NTSC exclusive release and I'm in Australia and really don't want to buy an American xbox for one game
My favourite Burnout. Just the perfect amount of new content and arcade like simplicity. Later games added too much imho.
You nailed this review. Had these reviews come out when the game launched, they'd be much more lucrative.
Do a video ranking all the Twisted Metal games from worst to best.

First game Burnout 2: Point of Impact last and favorite game BurnOut3 TakeDown :D
Just saying that whoever owns these games should re release them in a compellation.
you should review burnout 3! great video!!!
are you planning to cover Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge in the future?
All of them are coming. Every Friday.

But does it make you feel like batman? 🤔
Epic
