That ease of entry for the Woodford rye is what got me into the ryes and another friend of mine into rye as well. It's a great starting point for just getting into general whiskey.

You are like me with the Double Oak. I love original Woodford, but the Double Oak just adds another layer of depth that makes it wonderful to sip on. Too bad it is about 50 bucks where I live. If it was cheaper, the Double Oak would be a daily sipper for me.
I loved the fruitiness of the rye. It was surprisingly sweet, smooth and light. The double was good but if you’re talking a versatile and cheaper whiskey. The rye is like 20$ cheaper, tastes great alone and could be easily mixed if you have some non whiskey drinkers over for company.
Thank you for making these and previews episodes, you guys make my days pass easier, really appreciated. Although that last episode of tribe channel was really disgusting, the rest was great. Awesome
Daniel: I don’t think we have a Woodford Rye in here. Perfectly seen in the camera view obvious bottle just a little too high on the shelf for the Hobbit.
Hey I wanted to suggest a video idea to you guys if you haven't done something like this yet. A blind taste test between cocktails that have been shaken vs. stirred to see if you can really tell the difference.

Oh my god. You're actually reviewing a whiskey I have on my shelf. Double Oaked. Just used a splash in my homemade cocktail cherries. Cheers. Might be the first time I taste a whiskey along with you guys.
Somebody commented that they like woodford double oaked more than some members of their family on your channel.. and that is why I am drinking a glass neat right now. Thanks! Edit- I am eating White Castle while drinking it, and then you guys mentioned wc during the review, must be fate. I’m a simple man, good bourbon and cheap food 🇺🇸
Don't forget the brown sugar! It's like southern BBQ, a briny malt vinegar nose with a woodyness, then a brown sugar vanilla, with a nutty woody finish. In my opinion it's the best spirit I have tasted out of America so far. Try it for sure.
I have a question that may seem kind of strange. Instead of an infinity bottle, I use a 3-gallon charred new oak barrel in which I only put bourbons. My question is if I can no longer consider the barrel's contents "bourbon" after adding the second brand (of Bourbon)? I'm going off of the technical definition of bourbon having to be in unused, new oak. Once I've used it to store one maker's bourbon and then add another...am I correct that now I've broken the chain and this simply becomes an unclassified spirit? Sorry, I know its a weird question, but this is what I think about at night. - Thanks, Tribal Chiefs!!
I never really cared for woodford, I tried the double oak and loved it. Went back to try regular woodford, not sure what happen but I like the regular woodford better. Now one of my top 5.
I work with some folks that have gone on a Woodford Pick in the past. They present you with multiple barrels and you choose two of them to be mingled and then proofed down to the classic Woodford proof.

Woodford put out an experimental Double Double Oaked once. Same as the Double Oak but the 2nd barrel is double charred. Really brings out that woodsy bitter chocolate note. Don't know if they still make it. Super limited experimental runs are kind of Woodford's thing.

I'm pretty sure a barrel of any liquid exposed to the vacuum of space would result in 100% evaporation of the contents. Even on ISS, the constant temperature would limit wood interaction, particularly with weightlessness potentially keeping the liquid from pressing against the inside of the barrel.
