Honestly, some of tweaks to the mix (seems like some EQ boosting and altered panning) and the obvious "live effects" (big room, crowd noise) makes this version sound so much fuller than the album version and I'm kinda loving it. I hope a true remix of the song fills it out like this

Besides what he has mentioned about Elvis Presley being one of his heroes, there was another one and that other one was Chuck Berry. In real life, this cover was played at the Budokan as the opening song of the concert and the same at Shea Stadium in 1966.
