Peter Hollens is not only an artist, he's also a genius of making a masterpiece out of a masterpiece. The layerings of his amazing voice added to layers of Tim's smooth 5-octave range is doing Simon & Garfunkel a real tribute. I'm so glad you followed the recommendation to react to this one. Now you must follow Peter's collaborations with Tim and Tim's vocal band, Home Free. Branded as "country," HF is so much more, my favorite of all three or four of the top a cappella groups! Your reaction to this duo is perfect. Hope to see you often in this rabbit hole of really good music! I see that Dagmar S. has provided a fantastic list for starters. Please share them with us.
Tim is the amazing Bass singer for the country A Cappella group Home Free he has a 5+ octave range. You should check out Home Free. Peter has done a few collaborations with Home Free Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For( U2) Amazing Grace 19 You + Me
Peter Hollens and Tim Foust are two of my favorite singers. They sound so good together. ☺️ Tim Foust is a country singer. He's the bass singer for Home Free, an all vocal country group. Peter Hollens has done a couple of collabs with Home Free as well.
Peter Hollen's collaboration with Home Free on Amazing Grace, was my introduction to Home Free. I went down that "rabbit hole" and been a "Home Fry" ever since.
I grew up listening to the original song by Simon & Garfunkel & have always loved it. I think Peter & Tim do a great version of this song. Their voices complement each other perfectly. The layering of their voices in this is amazing. Peter & Tim have done a lot of collaborations including "Misty Mountains", "Sound Of Silence", "Greensleeves", "Fire & Rain", "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "Teach Your Children", "You Can Close Your Eyes", "And So It Goes", "Blackbird", "You've Got A Friend". All are excellent. They recently released a duet album.
You listed all the collaborations Peter has done with Tim Faust that I was thinking of and then some. Also working with Home Free on several really great songs. Love it!
Peter and Tim make magic. Peter and Tim have lots of collaborations. You should listen to Misty Mountains, And So It Goes, Blackbird…many others. Tim Foust is the bass for an a cappella band called Home Free. They are incredible. Try Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, In the Blood, One Man Band, The Driver. Oh they’ve done Amazing Grace with Peter and also I Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For with Peter also. Great reaction Adam. 😍
Peter and Tim have worked together for more than 20 years and even sang in the same a capella group ball in the house back in the early 2000s, there voices match so well together. Great reaction man.
I've been following Peter Hollens for a few years now. He has a great voice and I like the videos in which he produces several layers of his voice. Tim I know as a member of Home Free and they are an amazing vocal group. This was a beautiful rendition of that iconic song.
I hope that you’ll check out Home Free, of who Tim Foust is a member. They’re known as a country a cappella group, but…do just about any genre out there ‼️ They are Amazing ….a Rabbit Hole, that’s one fun trip 🫶🏼❤️🫶🏼. They have over 200 videos here on UA-cam ❤️🫶🏼❤️. @@AdamStraughan Are you reloading your Home Free reactions. It seems whatever the issue was, may have been rectified. At least for some people posting HF reactions. At least to some degree.
One of my favorites of Peter and Tim togethrr is Greensleeves…..they are magical together! And of course their version of Misty Mountains is breathtaking….
Tim singing "I will comfort you" in that part of his range is, indeed, comforting. That last chord with Tim on high and low is a magical thing by Peter. And Peter didn't overdo the layers, either - which he can do from time to time, IMHO. The next duet you might want to listen to is Greensleeves. As others have said, Peter and Tim have worked together for 20+ years, they know each other's voice so well, that the arrangements they end up with use their strengths so well. Now you need to listen to Peter and Home Free as a whole together in Amazing Grace, Still Haven't Found, and their 2 collaborations of 19 and Me.
I loved Simon & Garfunkel's music - Peter Hollens & Tim Foust more than do this song justice. They also have a duet of "Greensleeves" that is the best I've ever heard (on Peter's channel). Peter Hollens also sings with Home Free on "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "Amazing Grace" - beyond words.
There are other comments here that mention other collaborations between Peter and Tim, as well as Peter and Home Free. I haven't seen any mention of some of Tim's solo work, particularly his doo-wop songs. I would recommend Come go with Me ua-cam.com/video/lnk1_IkqdLA/v-deo.html and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay ua-cam.com/video/8bN9bgwR0DI/v-deo.html These really show off his five octave range.
Hi bonny lad, nice to hear a local accent on here, others have suggested more Tim and Peter collaborations, And So It Goes is a Billy Joel song theyve done, like to see what you think, subbed hoping for maybe some of Home Free newest videos x
Another great reaction - thank you! Along with all of the Peter and Tim suggestions everyone else has already suggested, I'd like to throw in a suggestion for Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan doing "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair"
Great reaction. Thank you! I hope you'll also react to their version of "Greensleeves," which they did during the same time they worked on this one. It really shows off BOTH of their ranges and strengths. 😀
Ifound this today and Peter and Tim did a beautiful job on this song. Peter and Tim sing great as a duets together. I like your reactions on Peter and Tim.
Peter has also done a few collaborations with Home Free, where Tim sings (mostly) bass. Amazing Grace and U2’s Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For are great. Tim Foust also has a full album of solo Doo Wop songs where he sings ALL the parts. His UA-cam channel has videos for four of those songs: Come Go With Me; Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow /Stay; In My Room; and Since I Don’t Have You.
They do “Sounds of Silence” as well as many others! You can’t go wrong with anything they do. Tim is the bass #1, for the group Home Free. Peter does a lot of work with them as well. If you don’t know Home Free …. Stand by, and hang on! They are one H..l of a ride!
i love your reactions, you are always so appreciative of artists voices and arrangements, you always seem to weigh what you say before you say it so every word has meaning. I love Peter but Tim is one of my favorite performers ever. he's the bass for Home Free and I see them pretty much any time they are within 300 miles of me.
This is so so gorgeous. You should check out some of Tim's work with Home Free, the a capella group he sings with. Peter also collaborates with Home Free on a few pieces like "Amazing Grace" and "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". For Home Free I would recommend "Man of Constant Sorrow". It's hard to believe that it's a capella, but it is.
Peter and Tim have quite a few collabs. I especially enjoy their covers of Sound of Silence and Billy Joel's And So It Goes. Tim is part of the best a capella group out there - Home Free. Although they refer to themselves as "country" they have a very deep and varied catalog. I suggest The Driver or Helplessly Hoping as good introductions. Enjoy the music!
Peter and Tim have just released an album of their many duets.
