Followed this tutorial word for word, everything went smoothly. Costs me $200 total for front disk pads and new rotors. Took me about 2 hours to do it, but considering I'm not a mechanic, I'm satisfied. Repair shop wanted $600 to do it. By my reckoning, I owe myself $400, so I'm gonna treat myself to some new tools.....Sweet!
Dude you literally made me LOL when you said gently lay the caliper and then BAM! 💥 you dropped it!! 🤣🤣. Loved your video man. Very short sweet and to the point 👌🏽 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I think this was a great video and helped a lot. We installed all new four rotors and Pads and when I took the car for a spin I feel a vibration and knocking noise when pressing the brakes.

Hi there, I have one of those (3.6 fwd) in Europe and have trouble finding brake calipers/brackets (mine got some loose). I have 330mm and I've read somewhere that those calipers are the same as Jeep Cherokee with a single piston. Can anyone confirm?
It would be nice if he could say what size 'torx socket' is to remove the caliper bracket. He said he used a 16mm wrench which is really not the correct tool to use. What size torx socket should be used?
Can u add what lubricant and tool sizes in the description or comment me back with the info. I want to do it myself cause my front brake noise is loud and I need it done ASAP
Hey dude I see that video it super helpful, I’m tryna replace my brake pads, and rotor, but I’m not sure what kind of tools and size I need to remove this kinda outward ex bolt. Would you mind tell me what size and kind of tools to remove that bolt please?
Did you have to go into the nav screen and turn on any type of service brake system setting? I've heard ppl have had to do this in order to push the piston back in. But it was facebook so I have no idea
Heyy, I have a 2015 200 S and I forgot to go to the Service Mode for the brakes, and now the piston is out,and I can't get it to retract...do you know anything to get it to go back in...other than replacing the caliper?
@@llwood78 If you buy the Dorman ones they are. The ones I got that came factory are too big. I bought a 20MM and they are all scuffed to crap. I’m just going to fit it with the Dorman ones now. Even the 20MM scuffs the factory lug nuts all to shit.
Did u put mopar pads/rotors on or another brand? Cause i heard they be acting shitty about ur warranty if u put parts on this exact car that aren't mopar.
+Kelly Mack I put aftermarket pads on. Yes they would most likely act shitty if there was a problem. Basiclly warrenty repairs/ services are a guarantee that the car will be kept working for the customer but only if everything is oem usually, reason being because am pads can be a range of quality (usually low) and can cause symptoms that wouldent be there if the customer stayed with oem parts. Hope this helps!

Damn! My shop gave me a high quite of $850 to do em. I said fuck yall. I got it.
Damn you overpaid.

A little more detail on depressing the piston would help. Like what tools and best way especially if you don't have a vice to hold it .
I was just about to comment that👍
Best video yet. Actually show you how to do the hardware 👍
I think this was a great video and helped a lot. We installed all new four rotors and Pads and when I took the car for a spin I feel a vibration and knocking noise when pressing the brakes.
I dont have a shop whats the easiest way to change tires and routers if they are grinding!!

How do you know which rotors are on the car?
You know how to use a tape measure?
No brake grease on the brake pads? And u should always put lock tight back on the bolts so they don't back off
You did replace new ones.
I'm finding it very tight. Caliber isn't going back on
Great video, thank you. Any preference on brake brands?
Do you have a video of you doing the rear?
Is it just me but the brake pads look good
Looks like he used the same pads he took out
Pads are good
Hey I was just wondering g do I have to do that with the roter

Gotta do the wife's chrysler tomorrow, didnt know about that weird bold, good look.

E20 Torx socket.
The neighbours called the cops on me because I was screaming at that weird bolt with the loctite on it, but other than that it went pretty smooth
do you know if there is a video that shows how to do the back brakes?
+Kalvin Lund I do not sorry.
Hi I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 I'm trying to to learn how to replace a windshield wiper switch
I don't think you'll find that information here.
Are they 330 mm rotors ?
Can u add what lubricant and tool sizes in the description or comment me back with the info. I want to do it myself cause my front brake noise is loud and I need it done ASAP
I need those special tools to change my brake pads.
Hey dude I see that video it super helpful, I’m tryna replace my brake pads, and rotor, but I’m not sure what kind of tools and size I need to remove this kinda outward ex bolt. Would you mind tell me what size and kind of tools to remove that bolt please?
Can NOT get my pistons to compress, any advice???
Take the lid off the brake master cylinder it may be to full. They might be crooked as well try to stay them out
Hey where did you get your piston tool you used to push the piston back down?
Amazon. The brand is lisel I believe
Great video, very informative. By the way what is your torque setting for caliper bracket bolt, caliper pins and lug nuts as well. Thank you
Did you have to go into the nav screen and turn on any type of service brake system setting? I've heard ppl have had to do this in order to push the piston back in. But it was facebook so I have no idea
Thats for the rear brakes. There is also a rip-cord in the center console are under the rubber Detroit Skyline pad

It is like that on my front brakes.
I just need my brake pads changed do I need to do all the stuff with the calibrating the rotor?
+Casey Burmania No you can do a pad install only. If your rotors are not pulsating it should be fine.
Great Job 👏
Why didn't you bleed the blakes
Great tutorial thanks!
+Norman Lopez-Cortez Thanks for the comment!
Does anyone know the actual size of those torx sockets?
Any idea why they say to discard the torx bolts? Is it just because of locktite?
E20
The tire studs are not a 19mm. They are 20mm.
Mine was def 19 mm
