I’m very sensitive to sugar. Fasting at first was a game changer for me. Just giving my gut a minute was essential!!!!! Then I proceeded with 90% meat. Being full helped me recognize hungry true hunger!!! Eat eggs for breakfast have a burger or burgers for lunch snack on bacon steak for dinner. Throw in some more eggs if your hungry. You’ll find out when your full. Your head will clear and you’ll have energy you’ll be reorganizing your house. Trust me. 4 years in. I gave up carbs 20 years ago with the same results. It works.

GREAT advice! 1. don't beat yourself up for stumbles/tumbles 2. don't fast right away 3. purge "danger zone" foods 4. institute transition (ketovore?) before resuming carnivore (but avoid cheese, or at least cut it WAY down!) 5. eat at home - avoid restaurants when possible and watch out for triggers! 6. buy yourself a new cooking toy! (airfryer, cast iron pan)💗 7. find some accountability - community folks to encourage you! (BTW, I'm one of those who has stumbled and fallen repeatedly, and I'm still in the game!) 8. find and develop a new hobby! 🥰 Thanks, CQers!! XOXO - M

I got my first negative comment on my day 68 video. I keep hitting stalls so i have only lost 14 pounds but my excitement is still building because I haven't gained any weight. Plus i know I can eat like this forever because i like this way of eating. So what if it takes me a little longer to loose the weight.😂I been chunky for 27 of my 45 years 😊
I said that to say this... the Carnivore Quest channel is one of my favs that has helpped me on some dark days , and i feel encouraged every step of the way.❤

Thanks for sharing your wisdom. You two are the best! I have been in maintenance for over 20 years (lost 80lbs on Atkins Induction - which is Carnivore). I’ve implemented many of these tips, even to this day. More tips: Going for a walk, jogging in place during commercials, always drink water before eating (maybe you are thirsty instead of hungry… Thank you both💕

I’m back on the horse again. Here’s my trick, because I live in CA. I eat one meal for the first 4 days. I go to In n Out and I order 3 Flying Dutchman. 380 x 3 = 1140 calories. That’s two 2 oz patties and their cheese on each patty. Perfect fat: protein ratio. I do this for 4 days and I work on a big project or something mentally taxing for those 4 days and drink tons of water with electrolytes in it. I have 3T clean heavy cream and electrolytes in my Nespresso daily. Once I’m at day 4 I’m losing weight, feeling lighter, clearer headed, and ready to eat steaks or my favorite: ground beef from Costco cooking with salt in the cast iron. The in n out takes the guess work out and it feels like a treat and it is so flavorful. It works. When I’m stuck, I let myself have a cheat day, and do this method and it always helps.

Hi Cassie & Larry. I would add 4 things for beginners. 1)Get a friend to take some 'before' photos. If you are like me, I always hid behind others in EVERY photo. 2)Keep a little log. Every couple of weeks record your weight so you can look back and see your progress. 3)If you gradually reduce your carb intake you will avoid the gastric issues. Start off keto, progress to ketovore, and then to carnivore. 4)Find non-food ways to celebrate each milestone. Perhaps a new shirt or a new piece of costume jewelry. Best wishes and good luck to all that are new to carnivore.

Was on keto in 2019 and felt great! I lost a lot of weight then- my kids say like a whole person, lol. Tbh, it was like 20 lbs I think. But during the holidays that year, I decided I would have some pie and “ loosen up”. Since then I’ve struggled to get back on keto. Thank you for reminding me to forgive myself. Ok..here's my experience when i first started carnivore...i ate strict 6 days the week...just steak and eggs, bacon and eggs or just steak...i ate as much as i wanted until it didn't taste good. I followed Dr Anthony Chaffee on that basic advice and it worked. I did take electrolyte at the start but after a few weeks, i didnt feel like i needed it. So for 6 days i was strict and then on Sunday...i did anything i wanted...i ate pizza, burgers, drank alcohol...there was no limit to anything...and in 12 weeks i lost 25kg. So...do what works for you!

I’m commenting a 2nd time because I think it’s important. For the newbies; don’t think because you fell off that you’re a failure. This is a lifestyle. You ate some crap, so what. Your next meal, eat some meat. I began this WOE: Keto, back on 1/2/17. Lost 65 pounds by 6/‘19. I thought I’d “arrived”. My goal weight. I did it! I could loosen the reins. Right? WRONG! Halloween came & I began eating candy. Fast forward, I quickly became sugar addicted again and with 1 lb at a time I’d gained back 50 pounds by 2021! I struggled until June 2023!
4 YEARS! To get back on track. That bite, lick, taste (BLT), IS NOT WORTH IT! Use me as your example & just stay the course. Addiction is a feral animal that needs to be contained. I’ve since learned I have foods that need to be eliminated. I call them “Red Light Foods”. I can’t control them. So, remember your WHY and stay the course. I’ve fallen so many times in the last 4 years but now I’m in a good place & the scale is moving again. Be kind to yourself. It’s a journey. Not a race. You can do this!! I’m right there with you as well as Larry & Cassie. Support/community is vital! I learned that the hard way. If you made it to the end of this post, I applaud you. Now go and kick some carb as*!! 🍑 🫏

Hi DebbiePowers. I'm a diabetic too. Thanks to ketovore/carnivore I'm down 85lbs and off of insulin after decades on insulin & oral medication. You can do it too. PS I NEVER told any of my drs how I was eating, only that I was trying to loose weight. I asked them to do labs every 3 months in the beginning (& they did.) Each dr visit I weighed less and they said "keep doing what you're doing." They never knew it was ketovore/carnivore.

still love you guys , haven't watched for quite a few months. I'm am very familiar with the keto/carnivore diet. i have lived it for over 3 years. i lost over 75 lbs and have improved my health tremendously. i can give a ton or excuses for falling off the wagon for the last 4 (6) + months. I've gained over 20lbs and feel like crap. My mother had some major heath issues lately and is currently living with my wife and i. she's 78 and is sure I'm gonna die if i don't eat fruit and vegies, " you cant live on just meat" as you can imagine we are not cooking that way now and i just gave up and eat like everyone else. i still try to eat the way i actually like , carnivore style at work but that all goes out the window once i get home. I've jump back on and off several times in the last few months but cant seem to stick with it. i want to do good but with all the stress of my mothers health and the almost 24 hr care she needs right now it seems an undoable task. this is the first time I've reach out about what's going on with me . I'm glad you guys are there to listen, i miss all the other low carb folks i us to watch all the time ( dr.berry, 2 crazyketoes and so many others. I need to get back to them it helps so much just to see what's up.

Started in October 23, first 10 weeks, slow loss - mostly bc my body was healing from 40 years of (gulp) vegan days. Now that I’m adapting, it’s coming off. The tendency to fast to rush weight loss is opposite what my body needed. She was holding weight waiting for the certainty that I was going to keep on feeding her well. Once I crossed that point, bam - it’s falling off & I just keep on eating beef, water & salt & butter.

I'm perplexed.....I started carn almost ten weeks ago and as of four days ago, I had lost 23 lbs! For four days I remained 240 and then, or some reason, this morning I gained 11 lbs....back up to 251! Nothing wrong with the scale, it's a balance beam with the weights. I have been racking my brain to try to figure out what in the world happened. It has to be water gain, because I still eat my steak in only one meal a day. I eat no later than 3pm. I eat no dairy (I don't like cheese). I drink lots of water. I use electrolytes daily, I eat no sugar or carbs, AT ALL. Never even been tempted since starting carnivore. I take my thyroid Rx and my high blood pressure Rx daily. The only things I can think of that are different that might have affected this gain is I stopped drinking coffee the day I weighed in at 240. The other possible reason is, I had a lot of added stress heaped upon me the day before I gained the eleven pounds back.
I have not deviated from my carnivore diet since day one, starting Feb 7. I am wondering, if anyone can answer this, can omitting coffee or a lot of new stress cause a weight gain? I am assuming it is a water gain....but why? I take my electrolytes also daily. Eating about the same calories. I make sure I am still eating enough fat with my steak so no change there either. I'm at a loss (no pun intended) to what happened. So far, I have not let it affect me mentally, too much, but with each day and the needle on the scale not budging, I am about to cry from so much frustration. If any one has any suggestions.....please, drop a note. Thanks. PS: I am not stopping but the thought has crossed my mind, well that was a wasted ten weeks. But, no I am not going to stop.

Nope I do not eat out at restaurants anymore. I prefer to cook my own food. I go to one place and one place only. Costco I buy a month’s worth of food usually cost me between 350-400 hundred bucks depending on if they raised the price of chuck roast the bastards. I give myself one hour that’s it. There always changing items at Costco except for the meat isle and dairy isle. Sometimes they move the coffee which pisses me off but I find it. There not going to hide it from me. The bastards. Go to the dairy isle but 6, 5dozen eggs, 4 chuck roast and cut them into steaks and 4 10 pound pack of meat than I get the hell out of there than as I’m leaving I’ll top off my gas tank. Than go home and put it away cut a steak out of the roast make me a steak ground up a half pound of ground beef and mix 6 eggs in there. 2 whole eggs and 4 egg yolks and my water man that’s good eating. Than I’m good until dinner about 14 hours later.
