Dedicated to Kevin Blake. Who in 1986 used to blast this tape every morning on bus #9, on the way to Foxborough High School. Great way to start the day... thanks Kevin. ;-)
Malcolm is officially the rhythm guitarist but Angus obviously plays rhythm live when not playing lead but on the albums he records rhythm right along with Mal all the way through the songs you can here the difference in their sounds. Mal's is cleaner then angus's dirty more aggressive sound. Then he overdubs his leads. Not taking anything away from Mal but it's a combo of both..
When this album came out, the world was moving to Hair Bands and electric pop. AC/DC was out of fashion. Fast forward 35 years and AC/DC are still around and smashing it, all those other 80s bands are long gone, and their music with them! Not to mention the 90s Grunge scene, gone too!Going back and listening to the mid/late 80s AC/DC albums, you quickly realise the critics at the time were just following trends and the record execs. Angus has always said, we’re a Rock & Roll band, and we’ll never change! Simply the greatest band the world has ever seen, with the two best rock singers in history!
Most of "those other 80's bands" are still around and doing fine. I love AC/DC as much as anybody, but c'mon... there's no need to slag other bands of a great era in music, to promote AC/DC. These guys music stands on its own merits just fine.
I'm not sure this generation is going to look back at their youth the way boomers do. Born in the 50's. Grew up in the 60's, 70's. Greatest time to be alive in the history of man. F'N A.
@@flymax4066 You´re my man! Shoot to thrill would be on the upper end of my top list, as well...and yes, Thunderstruck is an all-time banger that defines the band, but I think I´ve overplayed this one a bit, just like the rest of the world. Maybe it sounds stupid, but I also have a giant crush on Fire Your Guns and It´s A Long Way To The Top. Not sure if I´d be able to pick a Top 3, though...over the years, they´ve just been kicking out an insane amount of good stuff. Still considering your choice class A+!
One of the greatest non popular tunes of all times. The precision and raw beauty on both the drumming and crazy riffs is mind blowing. Just dwell into them and you'll find what the basis of true hard rock are. The solo guitar is so crazily perfect that you will find yourself moving even without noticing it ! AC/ DC at ist best.
Underrated album for sure and it also features Simon Wright on drums who played with AC/DC between ‘83-‘89. Shake your foundation is probably my favorite
AC/DC is an indestructible band. They won't die. They won't go away. Like a force of nature. 100 years from now people will still be listening to them.
I’ll bet money Angus had fun watching Suzy Cue dance to his solo- had to be the best part of the whole video. Fly on the wall definitely deserved more credit than it got! This song is right up there with This House Is On Fire; awesome!
Kick-ass song from an underrated AC/DC album. I had only heard negative things about "Fly on the Wall" so I was very pleasantly surprised to discover how good it is.
Remembering Malcolm Mitchell Young 6 January 1953 Glasgow, Scotland. As important as any other member in the band that made in rock history. Rock history lost too soon. We miss you Malcolm..
Sink the pink rocks , just like this whole album. AC/DC IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL HARD ROCK BAND - from bon Scott era thru brian Johnson. And here it is 2020 going into 2021 and they make yet again one more kick butt Album (power up). Dedicated to Malcolm young R.I.P. never to be forgotten. AC/DC IS A SOLID BAND Kicking butt for decades

It's a shame "Fly on the Wall" tour never filmed on tour or the band never bringing this stuff on set later! "fly on the wall", "wmw" and "blow up" álbums are criminally underrated AC⚡ DC albums!
I always liked this album. Regretfully the only time I saw them live was on this tour in 1985.Amazing show. I remember Angus moved so crazy the entire show I kept expecting him to fall down but when he did fall it was on purpose like we've all seen him do then just rolled around playing never messing up.. Yngwie Malmsteen opened for them ..Back then he was still fresh .Awesome show from both acts!!!
Same here. Saw them in Boston on this tour on September 13, 1985. Yep, Yngwie opened for them. That was a fantastic show. Fly On the Wall is my favorite Brian Johnson album, but doesn't get much love. Very underrated album in my opinion.
One of my absolute favorite AC/DC albums. The songs are really fantastic. I could never understand why the album was rated so badly. Which also resulted in the fact that they never play it live. That's a shame
Fly on the Wall was such a cool album.
Top 20 AC/DC tracks of all time!!!!
This album and flick of the switch are amazing albums that are so under rated...
I agree
Album "Fly on the Wall" !!!
Flick of the Switch 1983
Agreed. Much more lo-fi and sleazy. Love both!
They both kick ass.
This song is criminally underrated. Matter of fact the whole album is underrated. Great stuff!
One hell of a party!
Damn right! Criminal! There ought to be a law!
It's not actually. It was one of their hits at the time. It's just the movie's quite cringy.

Right 😢
One of the greatest bands to ever do it. Absolutely amazing every time.
This is probably one of the better Brian Johnson era tunes and it goes unnoticed.
Malcolm Young is hands down the best rhythm guitar player ever.
no no no, he says 'rhythm', so he definitly means Malcolm ;) Angus is lead
