It’s funny, I bought it when it came out it was the first CD I bought, I was 12 or 13 and didn’t like it much. In recent years I’ve come to love it. The production is lousy, though. Flick of the Switch though is on another level. I’ve always loved it. It’s dark, grim and primal. Fly is poppier. Danger is a terrific song
***** Powerage is their most underrated album by far, but if we talk split Scott/Johnson eras of AC/DC, Blow Up Your Video is a highly underrated album for the Johnson era.
It's like comparing apples and oranges to me. Bon and Brian. While it's still AC/DC, it's different. I would agree this is one of Brian ' s best though.
Fly on the wall and flick of the switch. Both were underrated, and IDK why ?? Maybe the timing. Im baffled. It’s Ac/dc man. These guys are the class act of rock n roll !!! Since bon Scott era all thru till even now 2020 with power up. These guys have made kick ass music . True rockers . Ac/dc rocks
There was a period in the mid 80's when it wasn't cool to like AC/DC. I remember being laughed at for showing my alegiance, becoming a fan back in the summer of '82. Well, guess what? Their recent album, PWR UP is big time, and I bought it just like all the others. From High Voltage to PWR UP, these guys have always been the sh*t!
@@mark_beastpriest5539 I agree. Ac / dc have always been solid rock n roll . I don’t remember any issues of my friends having with the band in 80s , hell we cranked everything from Tesla , Judas Priest. Motley Crue , OZZY , sabbath, zep. Wasp , quiet riot , Van Halen, kiss , accept, krokus, Iron Maiden , helix. List goes on and on. 80s was the best times for rock n roll and boom boxes and ripped jeans. Jean jackets band patches, bandanas ,spiked bracelets, cool parties and everyone cranked the tunes!!! Awesome time to grow up . High school days. Rocked. And I still love all the 80s bands and older like sabbath , zep too.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 oh yeah that’s good stuff. Ozzy was the man when I was in high school. Flying high again and crazy train etc etc. Saw him 3 times saw dio once. saw kiss 3 times , Ted nugent, slaughter, white snake , ac / dc heat seeker tour. Ahhh the good days ! All my CDs are from that era.
Well the critics thought this and Flick of the Switch were unoriginal and repetitive. And the audio mixing was pretty bad. This song is pretty good, though.
Such an underrated song and album! Any real AC/DC fan should like this album. IMO,it has more energy and kicks more ass than the majority of their post-1990s albums!
@@markengel6570 At age 52 for me. If my father at 79 doesn't like it - and he introduced me to all ACDC up to Flick of the Switch - then he's got dementia. But he was always an arsehole anyway. So yeah, a Flick of the Switch.
Many people don’t like the vocal effects on this album, but if you start listening to the album more the more you will appreciate it, it’s a very powerful album. Easily one of my favorite AC/DC albums
3:25 until the end is the best part of the video. Its like the Charlie Brown Christmas play. Everyone is feeling the music in their own way and you don't know who to look at. Mesmerizing.
How could anybody hear this and *not* immediately crank it to eleven and then tear the knob off? What a great song. Thanks for being the "motor," Malc. And rest well.
You are talking about the concert at the Sydney Cricket ground. They were rattling windows a mile out it was THAT loud. Correct me if I am wrong but if I recall it was the Back in Black tour that got em banned from playing venues down under. Fuckin brilliant mate.
Best 1 2 punch live, open with the title track Fly on the Wall, then this...damn roof would collapse ❤🎉💥💥 Love the Brooklyn Bridge and Twin Towers at the end..❤
my buddy has a CD that's a collection of random ac/dc songs and this one, despite being a less popular song, stood out. no idea why but damn it deserves a higher place of honor!
The pressure exerted by a mixture of gases is equal to the sum of the separate pressures which each gas would exert if it alone occupied the whole volume. The fact is expressed in the formula.
I was on a holiday with some family friends about 5 or 6 years ago and we had this song playing on repeat. We kept jumping up and down everytime it came on and our excuse was we were trying to shake our foundations
This is one song you can NOT listen at anything other than max volume. Turn it up, make the whole place shake with the power of ACDC! Blew 2 speakers on this song once. They were part of a monster Frankenstein audio system I put together as a university student. The whole thing was supercharged by a 2500W amplifier I got from a flea market. Whole thing stank of burning electronics on full blast, but it was awesome and didn't catch fire!
For those not paying attention, AC/DC rocks the fucking planet.
bro like "literally" and rock on!!!!
Universe
FUCKEN OATH they do mate...
KICK ARSE hard rock since the 70’s, and STILL going strong today....❤
Hell I've known that for 47 years !
The Atlanta concert was insane and fortunate with Malcolm Young on stage
That opening riff is fucking killer.
Fly on the Wall does not get the credit it deserves for being a great album.
No fucking lie! GREAT ALBUM that never gets any airplay on radio anymore. Just fucking Back in Black over and over.
Same with Flick Of The Switch.
The producer should be gutted for laying the fly sounds over the music. Lame.

The riff is great, so original! GO ANGUS! Brian Johnson and Angus are humble guys who always give credit to other fine musicians.
And your furniture rattling.
BRUH, It don't get my blood pumpin.. nah..
Just joking.. This give me hypertension
machine revelion
Possibly one of their best songs.

Most people would disagree but I think not only this is the best song of the album but Fly On The Wall is their most underrated album.
***** Powerage is their most underrated album by far, but if we talk split Scott/Johnson eras of AC/DC, Blow Up Your Video is a highly underrated album for the Johnson era.
Aaron Hobson I agree...it was at a time though when metal was on its out and other rock was coming in so it never got much play
DisappearingBoy2010 Still my favourite, it deserved more airplay.
It's like comparing apples and oranges to me. Bon and Brian. While it's still AC/DC, it's different. I would agree this is one of Brian ' s best though.
This just fkin rocks period.
such a intense song

the thing is that fashion is changing while AC DC stay unchanged) All their albums are very very cool

I think its because of the louzy production... other than that it rocks...
Arguably they have more than one magnum opus. I need my dose(s) of this daily.
90% of AC/DC production are legendary...best rock band ever

I don't give a shit what anyone says, this is the best AC/DC album.
The first five tracks are great. Brian voice sounds awesome and I like how powerful the drums are. It's one of the best from the Johnson's era.
In my opinion all 10 tracks are great. All killer, no filler.

I love this track. Listening for 30 years now. Agreed! One of the best brothers...old raw rock rules supreme. Brian is kicking too...
I get a bit of a Panama vibe at the opening here. This is such a fun track
Yes, the way the guitars don’t come in on beat 1 makes the drum entry sound like a big surprise - both songs. Also the voicing of the guitar chords.
My favorite Ac/Dc album from start to finish!! Heavy Azfuk and so melodic!!
