I saw them in Nashville when they opened for Aldo Nove and Blue Oyster Cult .
They were young and hungry and seriously rocked the house.
By the way, this entire album is great.

The year was 1984. Nurnberg, Germany. Monsters of Rock concert and Accept was playing this song live. First of all, the bass was so loud that my face was literally vibrating. I felt in under my feet. When it got to the "ah ah ah ah ah" part, and it just grows and grows, I was in this MASSIVE MASSIVE audience with everyone singing the back up parts...it...was...fucking.....amaaaaaaaaaazing. All those fists going up in the air all in sync. It was incredible and soooo fucking loud.

dude, i saw the same monsters tour in stuttgart in 88.. deep purple headlined and accept was also there. killer. i hear from friends who went to the van halen monsters here in the states and the lineup seemed so lame compared to that european tour. never again in the history of heavy music will that ever be replicated. we were lucky

Do you mean the "1380s?"..........B.C.?........That was sure a hell of a time for 'metals': Israelites under Joshua's command inherited the art of smelting copper and tin alloys from the Middonites. You can still see the dug out remains of make-shift earthen pits for 45 square kilometers just due east-south-east of the Dead Sea. Why the hell that isn't some kind of a 'national monument'.....or better yet an 'unofficial' 9th wonder of the world is light years beyond my comprehension......

I was a huge fan of Accept as a kid in middle school back in 1985 . I used a picture of UDO in his army uniform and introduced him as Mexican Colonel Talco Sartez for my school's Hispanic culture week , wrote of him as a upper tier army official responsible for aiding the poor in education and agricultural matters . I got a B+ for said entry.

This was when Heavy Metal was awesome. These guys were a terrific German Heavy Metal band and they were quite popular back in the day. As the leader of Accept, Udo Derkschneider was a crazy one no doubt, but he knew how to put on a show with his band, always pleased big crowds. It was a really great band with Wolf Hoffman and Jorg Fisher on guitar, Peter Baltes on Bass and in the back there you had an incredible drummer in Steffen Kauffman. They all just fit in with their front man Udo Derkschneider on vocals. This was a really great song. I always listen to this. Some music like this just never gets old. I miss the '80s so much because that's when we had REAL music.

My uncle, Rob Armitage is a lead singer and left his band called “baby tuckoo” in the 80s to join accept. I’m not sure what happened but after a few months he left and joined jagged edge. He still is one of the best rock voices I’ve ever heard, everyone that hears him says the same. Things didn’t work out for him and he didn’t hit the big time but he toured with Ozzy osbourne and did a concert with Def Leppard. He was my hero when I was growing up. He still sounds mint now.

According to some things I've heard about this song (and by interpreting the lyrics as well), it speaks against tyranny and oppression, and it makes a lot of sense given the cruelty of the dictatorships from their times. Decades and decades later, the message remains, and I'm dedicating this one to the ones who are fighting for freedom in this world.
If it is to die fighting, an hour of freedom is worth more than forty years a slave or more.
