Enjoy ur videos Jon Ritter, and I still think u need that cab for ur snow plowing. Sure would be even more fun. I also have talked to Tony several times and purchased several of his BX attachments. Top quality in every way. Keep ur videos coming, looking forward to them. Good luck and stay safe.
Robert Bohannan , I agree with you there, I really could use a cab. Tony does seem to have some quality products. One of these days I'm going to drive on down and see his shop and meet the guy. Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment.
Wow, that's some great attachments. I wish I could find someone who made stuff for an L39. I could use some more attachments. Dump trailers are so handy. You have a nice set up.
My sides are not 24 inches, they are 18 inches. So I can fit approx. 3 yards of material. Once I did haul 7500 pounds of sand a short distance and that's about the limit for me with my half ton truck. Anything more and I'm just asking for trouble. It's not very often I'm hauling sand or gravel anyway. I would rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for watching!
I always have to scratch my head when I hear or see guys using dump trailers to haul their equipment (loaders or skidsteers) to a jobsite, they get the equipment to the site, they load up the trailer with the debris and then they run into a problem, trailer is full of debris and no way to get equipment off of the job site, then they have to haul away debris and then drive all the back to jobsite to get the equipment, simple solution to this would be to buy a dump truck instead of the dump trailer because then the dump truck can be loaded with the debris and then a equipment trailer built for the equipment can be used to haul the equipment away behind the dump truck, I understand a dump truck is more expensive however it makes so many things easier if you have the right equipment for the task that is being preformed. I myself never even attempted to purchase a dump trailer as I went straight for a dump truck because I knew I was going to be hauling material on a regular basis to and from jobsites long before I ever purchased my loader as I made preparations for the loader purchase when I purchased it...
I have not tried that yet. It just hasn't become a necessity for me. I think it would fit without the back-blade attached and if I approached the ramp backwards with the dump trailer slightly in the up position. I don't think I would have an issue with the quick hitch. If I ever expand my snow clearing contracts I'll probably use a different trailer with an easier loading set-up. Thanks for the compliment! Keep tractoring!
I noticed you have your mower deck suspended from the ceiling. Maybe worthy of a video when it's warm enough to show the raising and lowering process. I have the 54" deck for my BX. Is that what you have and does it fit on your 5' dump trailer? I figure it should but its probably tight.
Hi John, I have a 60 inch deck and I use a chain hoist to raise and lower it. I also store my back blade up in the rafters in the summertime. I don't have much storage space so I need to be creative. I have a video of the process somewhere on my channel. I'll see if I can find it for ya.
Jon Great Channel. I blame you by the way (kidding, I was getting a BX anyway). I just got a BX23S last tuesday. Put it through its paces today and it is awesome. Also just replaced my ancient car with a Chevy Colorado. I'm now looking to upgrade my trailer to a dump and based on your videos I'm looking at this exact model. What I'm curious about, and I can't tell from this video, is how you tie down the BX to the trailer. It fits nice and tight but the sides don't offer a good view to see how you have it tied down. Thanks! {edit} I noticed a comment below that you use D rings. Are they something you added? Do you have a picture or something to illustrate? I'm just curious before I order the trailer.
The D rings are welded to the bottom of the trailer and if you get a Load Trail I believe they'll come standard. Their are 4 D-rings total. One at each corner. They are perfect for tying down you equipment. Thanks for watching, I bet you're loving that new machine and truck. Keep on tractoring and God bless.
Awesome thanks! I dunno how I missed that. I watched the video twice. I'm also tempted to grab some cameras and start "vlogging" my Kubota adventures. I sold my former John Deere tractor today and got an excavating job at the same time.
Chris Cobb Yes, the trailer and the BX are a perfect pair. Just this past weekend I loaded it with 2.5 yards of pea rock. Wish I would have done a video.
11/19/17 Jon- I am curious whether you think a Kubota B2601 TLB would fit in a 5x10 or 6x10 dump trailer? I have a 2016 Toyota Tacoma with the towing package which is rated to 6400#. The Kubota with the tires filled weighs 3400#. I would only use to move Kubota across town 20 miles 5-10x year. Was wondering how well your Kubota BX rides with the FEL hanging off the front? Did you build a resting point for the front bucket? Are you have to get to the D rings to secure the tractor down? Thanks for your time and any thoughts you may have. Also- I won't be driving on any hills. I just know it isn't a good idea to over tax a light truck and looking for a small, light dump trailer option Chris in Seattle chris@yourkey.org
Hi Chris, I really don't think a 10 foot dump trailer is going to be long enough for a B series. My BX fits in my 5x10 like a glove without an inch to spare. The bucket hanging over the front rides quite nicely and I rest it on an old tire I have. You'll have to take some measurements on the wheel base of that B series. With the backhoe I really have my doubts that it will fit. You're also really pushing the limits of your Tacoma but if you're just going across town several times a year you might be alright. My dump trailer weighs 2000 lbs empty so that's just something to keep in mind. Oh, and yes I do use D rings to tie it down. Happy Holidays and God bless.

Nice to hear from you . Informative vid . Thanks
can you show a video on you loading the tractor on the dump ? thanks
gravel is 3,000 lbs per yard, a 5x10x2' box can hold over 3.5 yards, that's 10,500 lbs
3500 lb axles are very often overloaded.

Jon Ritter didn't know you had a half ton. always better safe then sorry.

How is the load trail holding up with all the road salt? I'm thinking about one, but even new at the dealer it's rusty.
Found this very late after you making it but what does the back of the frame to the channel between the axles?
Sorry, but I'm a little confused as to what you're asking.
Heard about you from Paul Short.
Jon Ritter, I was curious if you have hauled your bx on your trailer with the blower attached? The quick hitch hangs pretty low. I enjoy the videos!

Go to 13:20 of this video to see what I mean.

The more kubota tractor vids the better in my opinion. I hope your first dirt moving job goes well!
Can u load dirt or gravel into your trailer with ur bx Will it reach over the side good ?
Chris Cobb Yes, the trailer and the BX are a perfect pair. Just this past weekend I loaded it with 2.5 yards of pea rock. Wish I would have done a video.
A RITTER BIT WILL DO wouldn’t 2.5 yards of pea stone put you about one ton overweight for that trailer?
How much does your Kubota weigh with front bucket and backhoe attached
Approximately 3000lbs.
thanks for the info
@@ritterjon, is that the BX23S? And do you know how much the Cab adds to it?
wht size truck do you pull that with?
I pull this with a half ton truck. Pulls very nicely but I wouldn't want to pull anything more with it.
Did tony ever make the trailer?

You need to get yourself an external microphone and take your videos to the next level which they deserve.
That idea is in progress, I’m looking at my options. I should have a new video out this week with microphone use. 🤞
