I'm trying to figure this out. It seems to be lower rates since it's rated as 1 which means abe2 will filter finer and filter more. It's better than nothing in emergency. I feel like it's good to get from point a to point b in emergency.
I want to say something. I'm a gas mask collector, and i want to say that: Full face mask=gas mask. You can attach gas and particle filters to both of them, both full face masks you shown have got a NATO RD40X1/7 screw, so they can use military filters. PAPR is just a gas mask with an air pump. It uses the same filters, do it doesn't give more protection. Only thing better with a PAPR is easier breathing. If you wanna know anything more, ask me, if i know, I will give you an answer.

I bought an abepk filter sealed, but expired in 2012. The particulate layer was very fragile in lose so I ripped it out from the bottom hole. I replaced it with stuffing it with toilet paper. And I will use the p3 stuff when it comes in the mail.
No, you just ruined the no longer useful filter. Just buy a new one unless you're using it for cosplay. I did the same thing on one of my older filters.
Is the resin in dust form? If so you would need a P3/P100 filter, the good ABEKP filters have both the particle filter and the vapour filter so they would work for most risks.

I ask because I need to find out if I can I purchase a face mask respirator from one company and use filter cartridges from a different company as long as they are both labeled as having the “bayonet” connection type? 3M is cloned a lot, both the masks, but other brands often use "compatible" bayonet fittings. Most "Name Brands" tend to use their proprietary fittings, so 3M compatible masks/filters are often not name brand stuff... 40mm x 1/7", Nato, Stanag, RD40 and EN-148 are all the same, and probably one of the best ways to mount a filter to a mask.

I get pretty much everything from eBay. These are Polish ABE filters but can be hard to find, modern Russian ABE or ABEK filters should be perfectly safe and functional.

the s10 is more comfortable and it mounts a filter on the left which makes it even more comfortable. it also has a better field of view. however the Israeli can use both nato and gost filters unlike the s10

I take it that they work with the GP-5's because of west and east germany, so they do not share the same threading as NATO filters/modern 40mm? I bought a filter from a site called spycatcheronline last year after buying the Forsheda from a different place, the site said it was the type 80 filter but the one they sent me has a black plastic casing and looks almost identical to the PA-12 filter by the company Shalon who also make the type 80. The only difference is the leak-proof plastic caps and attaching plastic bits are made from a clear plastic instead of black like the pictures on the Shalon website. it's unopened and still has the paper sticker on there that says to remove plug before use. It has a number laser printed on 11244, and I was told by the company that sold it to me the first and last numbers are the date of production. What I don't know is what this filter is rated for. I contacted Shalon via email, but they never responded. But from what I read on their website this kind of canister could be made for anything from • CBRN filter canister for emergency first responders designed to meet NIOSH CBRN standards. Provides protection against numerous toxic industrial chemicals, as well as military agents & particulates. • Tear gas filter canister for police riot control applications. My Israeli M80s have the clear plastic tabs so maybe Shalon made them in several colours? That filter looks a lot like the Chinese 40mm filters from 40 odd years ago that was full of horrid stuff, unless you can verify the date I'd be careful with it. The Drager filter should be very good, especially as it has more than the standard ABEK rating.

It lengthens to distance between the outside air supply and your nose/mouth. Also, the hose adds friction loss to the air flowing through it. Friction loss causes the air to flow more slowly as it adds resistance to the air stream. Of course, friction loss is greater in a corrugated hose (as gas mask hoses are) than a smooth hose. All that adds up to mean that in theory you may have to inhale harder to bring in a fresh breath. In practical reality, I don’t know if it makes a noticeable difference-since I’ve never compared the two or breathed through a gas mask hose.

@Mark Mitchell What one do you have? You need a particle filter though eg. Scott and safety pf10 p3 filter(the cheapest one). I've just bought a scott and safety aviva 40 half mask(ebay uk), with a scott and safety pro cf22 a2p3 filter(from screwfix, in the uk)
That's a cheap 3m filter. I would recommend a 3m p100 half mask like the 6000 or 7000 series and some extra p100 filters (box style will protect the filters from liquid). The disc ones are fine too. Just make sure you get the right size (s,m,l). This would be the cheapest protection against corona if that's what you're worried about. I'm not an expert, just been watching his vids. The n95 is not reusable vs these options that can be for just a few dollars more. Also if you dont use medical tape to seal around the edges you will have leaks with an n95. Hope this info helps.
N95 provides less protection than P100/P3 filters. The 95 rating means it filters about 95% of particles 0.3 microns or more in size. The N rating means it's Non-Oil-resistant. 99 rating means it filters about 99% of particles 0.3 microns in size or more. 100 rating means it filters about 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size or more. R rating means it's Oil-resistant. P rating means it's Oil-Proof.

I think bayonet connectors different from brand to brand. Just stick to 40mm.

I doubt it as GP-4 masks are GOST like all other Soviet masks, unless you specifically get a GOST 40mm filter you are buying an RD40/NATO filter.

Watch out for the leak around the eye lenses. Two of TF-1 have a leak on the lenses. If that happens to you, just fix it with super glue.

Better go for at least P2. P1 good enough for carpentry but not for filtering microscopic microorganisms.

If it's P3, P2, P95 or P100, it'll be good enough for the Rona. 5N11 is P2/P95 so it's usable, of course.

Hey man I love your videos I'm buying my first gas mask for a airsoft loadout I'm making and I wasn't sure If the Russian PMG filters are safe I'm buying it from a Russian military website called the soviet Russia and I wasn't sure if the filters were safe keep up the great videos
PMG filters contain asbestos, also gas masks are not designed for airsoft, you could lose your eyes.

Check the manufacture date, is it older than 5/10 years from that date, it's expired.

You need a particle filter though eg. Scott and safety pf10 p3 filter(the cheapest one).
I've just bought a scott and safety aviva 40 half mask(ebay uk), with a scott and safety pro cf22 a2p3 filter(from screwfix, in the uk)

What does n 95 mean?
That's a cheap 3m filter. I would recommend a 3m p100 half mask like the 6000 or 7000 series and some extra p100 filters (box style will protect the filters from liquid). The disc ones are fine too. Just make sure you get the right size (s,m,l). This would be the cheapest protection against corona if that's what you're worried about. I'm not an expert, just been watching his vids. The n95 is not reusable vs these options that can be for just a few dollars more. Also if you dont use medical tape to seal around the edges you will have leaks with an n95. Hope this info helps.
N95 I believe is like p100 or p3 rating. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not an expert just trying to help..
N95 provides less protection than P100/P3 filters. The 95 rating means it filters about 95% of particles 0.3 microns or more in size.
The N rating means it's Non-Oil-resistant.
99 rating means it filters about 99% of particles 0.3 microns in size or more.
100 rating means it filters about 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size or more.
R rating means it's Oil-resistant.
P rating means it's Oil-Proof.
