Work is being done towards that, but the game's code is pretty stubborn. We were able to trick the game in Time Trials and VS mode, but the way the game loads courses in GP has made it tougher so far.
Outside of DK Parkway I don't believe any of the levels will have item boxes. Will have to rebuild most the levels in order to add those back to existing courses, will most likely finish the last 5 in Set 1 and then go back through them all to update the older builds.
This is a very common problem. This patch was intended for the USA version of the game in a .Z64 format. So you would need a game file labelled (U). If you have a file labelled (E), or an .N64 or .V64 formatted file, you would need to find a different ROM.

@@OverKart64 What emulator or version does it have to be? in mine it does not have the memory option. and in romhacking I put the mk64 (u) rom. and in patch I put overkart4.1 release.bps and below it tells me: original rom checksum not valid.

Royal Raceway crashes on real hardware. But all the other custom tracks work. What's wrong?

@@OverKart64 This error tells me: In a perpetual cycle that cannot be canceled. Emulation will stop. Check ROM and ROM settings.
@@cartelrecordscss2915 In the Options Menu of your emulator there should be a selection for "Memory" - you want to change this value from 4MB to 8MB.
