Just got my first board last week and I've been trying to perfecting my Ollie. Thanks for the simplified tutorial man
Congrats on your new journey! 🛹 Let me know how your Ollie’s go.
@Cecilia Cole 100% truth!!
Update?????
@@RodrygoDeSilva a month later, I'm actually getting better doing an Ollie. I can Ollie over some obstacles and a curb now. But still, I need to practice on getting comfortable on my board more than anything.
@@fizan6129 nice!
Hey! I just started skating 2 days ago but here's some advice from my older brother that helps alot! 1: don't put your front foot to far back. Try to keep it right behind the trucks. 2: try to learn an ollie in the grass or with your back wheels in a crack
Thanks for the tips!!! Keep skating!
Holy Cow... Reese Forbes, rad! If there was anyone I'd want to teach me the trusty ollie, Reese it would be. I still remember them old ollie contests.
Exactly. I was very lucky to have him share the secret sauce!
Love that you're still poppin', brother. Good stuff!
Thanks bud! Reese is the best!
Thanks for the video,
people, go check 0:50 and put 0.25% speed hehe, check his right foot.
Idk for you, but for me, watching that in detail helpd me a lot to know that little strenght you have to place there, so the table jumps (Won't do it if your left foot still there) and then, that left foot has to go up faster than the table for it to have more jump space
Good eye! 👁
didn’t know skating would be this hard but gotta keep practicing
Just don't quit and everything will fall into place!
cool video what kind of shoes are those
Thx! They are Grant Taylor’s Nike SB shoe!
@@JoeyDigital Thanks mate keep up the good work
Nice one.Your videos not as long as others and still beneficial. Thanks bro.
Thanks!!!
Hey bro i have a question, do you have to drag to the nose with the toes of your front foot or with the side?
I like to do it with the side of my foot. When you master that, the dragging the toes combined with an angle of front foot are the fundamentals of a kickflip.
my first 411 was the high ollie challenge with Reese
NICE!!!
What does the high of an ollie depend on?
How high you ollie depends on your strength and experience. The more you do it the better you become.
@@JoeyDigital ah thanks and does it depend on my jumping
@@puitom1 Yep!!
I did this and my back foot landed in the same spot you showed half off the tail and I rolled my ankle bad. Thanks dad
Sorry to hear that son! I wish you a speedy recovery!
This helped a lot
Nice!! Thanks for watching!
this dudes ollie got hangtime
Yep!! One the best!
Helpful thank you!
Glad you enjoyed!
dammm good video brother!
thanks! I really appreciate it!
Its hard when poping backward pls guide me
Popping with your back foot? It’s kinda of like a fast karate kick straight down. Practice practice practice
its moreso a pop from the ankle and ball of your foot as you’re going from your crouch position toward your jump and then as soon as you feel that board snap off the ground you want to slide the front foot up the dip of the nose to catch and lift the feet up to your hips with that back knee bent ofcourse. another tip for the front foot is thinking of pointing the knee in that direction whilst the side of the foot makes contact with the grip toward the nose the entire time. also allow time for your legs to naturally compress back down, don’t straighten them as the rigidness won’t help with your balance when landing.
Always ollie always basic. Keep support, dude.
right on! thx for watching!
professional level video m8
Thank you!
God tier
💯
nice
thx for watching!!
Don’t slam the tail into the ground
Thanks for watching!
I try everything but I can’t get it high at all it pops and only goes like 3 inches up. Can anyone give me some better tips but this did help
Getting it higher in the air takes a lot more practice. Just do not stop trying and it will start working. I’ll be working on a more detailed video soon!
@@JoeyDigital The key to a high ollie is timing. The later you wait to pop your tail the more height you can get. I suggest getting the motion
wired first but without a skateboard. Watch his body movement throughout the process and duplicate his "jump" motion without a board.
You should push with both legs to start the jump then when your legs are almost straight, pop the tail and pull the board up to your body
by dragging your front foot toward the nose. Basically you are jumping in the air and your board is simply coming along for the ride. Good Luck!!

@@JoeyDigital You thumbs up. You got that serious pop!!
its a box jump not a vertical - keep this in mind. also its a pop from the ankle and ball of your foot
