why does my prfetch use so much ram? I turn up the catch in user preference/ memory cache limit. I use all of 16 gigs to to cache a 521 mb video.

I guess it is because Blender has to "decode" the video internally to have it available for tracking. So your 521mb video gets kind of converted to single images internally, and those fill up the RAM.
