This is the best motion tracking tutorial I have watched so far. You managed to explain and demonstrate it in under 10 minutes, and you even included the files for us to try it ourselves! Thank you so much.
Thank for your very kind comment! Best of luck with your 3d work!
@@twanoligschlaegerhow do you select multiple trackers at once when you where setting the floor it’s just selecting one PLZ HELP
@@Lilhoodbro2 shift click
That was so clear and easy to follow. You explain every step of the process, properly covering what the settings do instead of just hurriedly clicking on them. Thank you for this. Much appreciated.
As a motion graphic designer for many years, I still inspire by you! Thanks Mate.
It's a bit frustrating that such an `easy` scene with full of easy-to-track patterns, grids and dots, perfect rectangle shapes, etc. is so hard for Blender to track. You click so many buttons and adjust many parameters but it still can't track a single point from clip start to end. I think this is unacceptable for a pro software like this. I expected a better tracking performance.
Your explanation is excellent and easy to follow. Thanq for uploading this video.
Very nice easy to follow tutorial. Thank you.
WHAT A WONDERFUL VIDEO!!! Thank you, keep it up! You are a wonderful teacher!))
Thank you very much for the kind comment! Best of luck with your 3D motion tracking!
Even though i'm not fluently in english (listening) i could understand you, perfect tutorial, thank you!
you explain like blender guru in detail....i have seen other youtuber just explaining as if we know the particular feature already / or they talk really fast which is difficult to understand sometime....Thanks ,very good tutorial
3 hours frustration solved....thanx buddy.
Very simple and Easy great Job. One more thing guys shadow catcher option is visible only in cycles mode not evee
tysm this is the best tutorial i could find.
Thank you so much. Just what I was looking for!
I'm happy to hear that my video helped you! Thank you so much for the donation, wow!
thanks for this video, it fr works perfectly, keep doin tutorials please❤️
This is my first motion tracking tutorial. 😊 (I subbed)
Great tutorial mate, used it alongside a few others on how to do reflections, and jerry rigged some masks up + watery reflection catcher, made a tower on a lake shot. Your tutorial was the easiest to follow that I ended up needed. Really well put together Twan, thank you!!!
its a outstanding Motion Tracking workflow.
Thank you for your kind comment! Best of luck with your 3D motion tracking!
Nice bro don't stop this channel ever you are awesome ❤
Thanks for the encouraging words dude!
Great tutorial, thanks !
Het is een goed tutorial, Ik hoop daar te komen met mijn videomontages ^_^
wow. brilliant. it helped me soo much ❤❤❤
Wonderful tutorial
Ganz Wunderbar und viel Erfolg für ihre Ideen 👍
thanks bro this is the easy way to motion track
Great stuff. Thank you thank you!
thankyou it was very easy to understand
why does nobody do this? its so simple the way this guy explains it
I love this tutorial🔥
thank you for the kind comment!
This is the best one , you also told how to clean hugh error tracks and make new ones too, which otger Dont tell
This video saved me so much for my exam assignment for VFX. I just couldn't get the motion tracking working; Thannks!
Good luck with your exam!
Good video man keep it up
Thank you for the kind comment! Best of luck with your 3D work!
great job
very nice, thank you
yeah this is why I track in after effects 😂. Good tutorial by the way
Thanks! Tracking in AfterEffect is indeed way easier. Recently found a free method of transferring the aftereffects tracking data into blender, thinking of making the next video about that ;)
@@twanoligschlaeger yeah I have come across that free script as well. Can't wait for your tutorial!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
The best tutotial i have seen , but how do you render your animation with your background video
It's very helpfull video❤❤
Thank you!
In future you should play with the alpha to get a more realistic looking shadow, but overall a very great tutorial :)
Muchas gracias
thank you 🔥
Thank you very much for this material. I dream of making a 3D object in Reality Capture of the bridge model and then inserting it into the drone video where this bridge is to be built.
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
That is, in order to make a VFX video, I will need to output a render of sequence frames from Blender and then add these frames to the video by compositing?
TYSM
this is helpful
(:
super useful
Amazing! But I still having problems when i Try to select 3 trackings as floor. My layout doesent shows the vertices and doesent matchs the scene. How can I solve this problem?
Namaste from India🙏🙏🙏
On the frame rate part, what about stop motion videos? Should it match the stop motion frame rate or the video file frame rate?
Really good video and explanation!! I did the camera tracking by choosing the 8 markers manually, do you know why the angles of the background are a little rounded? Only by watching through the camera, during the motion tracking they are sharp. The error rate is 0.11pixels
Thank you! I''m not sure what you mean with the angles being rounded?
@@twanoligschlaeger he's talking about the fisheye effect on your camera

the cause is that you did object tracking instead of camera tracking 😅

how do i make the ground transparent but capturing the shadow and the color bounce of my model, because in my video the floor is a little bit reflective (the shadow should be alittle bit red)
look up "blender shadow catcher"
whick key is pressed to select multi track point ?
How do you render the video footage? It doesn't seem to be doing that automatically
Okay, so here's one of many places I"m getting tripped up: how do I place the 3D object where I want it in the scene? When I add it in, it automatically goes into a certain spot and moves very nicely in tandem with the footage. When I try and move it to another spot, suddenly all the tracking is off and inaccurate. How can I keep the tracking on point but set the object where it needs to be?
Also, my version (3.5) has no controls for the shadow catcher. I chalk that up to Blender's programmers being constitutionally incapable of leaving anything where it was in the previous version. I don't know if they realize how infuriating that rapidly gets.
In the motion tracking workspace, after your track, did you press "set as background" and "setup tracking scene"?
To use a shadow catcher (even in Blender 3.5) you'll need to make sure that you're in the cycles render engine.
@@twanoligschlaeger Yes. I did everything every tutorial says to do. After lots of fiddling, I got it to work, though regrettably I don't remember what exactly made the difference, which is unfortunate, since it's still not exactly where it should be altitude-wise, so I'll need to do it again.
Thanks on the shadow catcher issue, though. Blender's programmers seem to love making things needlessly difficult.
@Corn_Pone_Flicks if you really need precise positioning. You can add tracking markers as empties. Once that is done you can select the marker in the layout screen then press Shift S, select cursor to selected. That will place the cursor exactly where the marker is, then when you add anything to the scene it will be added at that position. Keep in mind that it's origin point is what gets centered with the 3d cursor so may have to move up or down but you will have a reference position of the 3d cursor.
can u slove my problem...my Problem is that my object and my floor is only able to render. I can't see the background in final render. What to do?
as soon as I hit the floor button my scene went somwhere. cant find my cube or floor anywhere. thoughts?

how to animate jaxxa lunar lander ( slim) using live data from the landing on moon?
data x,y and z and roll rates ( as angular velocity) maybe 50 or so data points over last 50m descent
Doesnt the frame rate of the video say 25fps in the footage settings?
Why do you add an object in cycles and you see the shadow without doing anything, but I create a sphere and it doesn't cast a shadow? I have done all the steps with Cycles and Shadow Catcher and it doesn't work... There is a jump when you go to Cycles and add the light that I can't understand.
hello please help once i switch to render viewport , the background disappears although it has 100% opacity
Everything is working well and the tutorial is very useful. But After rendering I can't see shadow
did you add the shadow catcher plane + are you in cycles?
hi thx for the video. I still have a problem. So, when i am at 6:40, then i can't chose eves or cycles. If i use that one, then everything except the 3d thing disappears!!! If i want to render it i also only see the 3d model and not the video :((
i have the same problem, any solution??
It was a wonderful tutorial but I can't see the background in viewport shading view anyone is able to help me?
It’s good but when I render the background is not rendering
Can you make 1 more example object , not using flor but wall ?

10:49 Why i can't finish it until the video ends? The tracker detector stopped for only a few seconds
Hello, good video but when I render it I don't see the background video, only the object I created and the background is blank, IDK if that is ideal.
why when i press "floor" it turns the whole bg gray?
can u do exactly this w geotracker
How can I rotate my footage ? I mean, in my files it’s correct, but when I import to blender it’s in a wrong ratio can someone help me ?
try adding a mapping+texture coordinate node in the shader editor to the texture node, maybe than you can rotate it?
Super tutorial. I do have an issue. When I press play to preview the video and to check if everything is fine, I have 0.70-1 fps. I dont't understand why. I do have a 2070RTX graphic card and my computer can render quite high and complexe scenes. Anyone elese having this issue?
Ok I found the reason why. I reduced the resolution of the video form 4k to HD 1920x1080 and it works perfectly. Yeah!
How to I select floor?
i have one problem when i render video is invisible

try holding shift while clicking on them. or just drag a selection box over them by holding left click
@@twanoligschlaegernow it says it needs three tracks with bundles
Do you need a high shutterspeed? Can't you just have Blender add motion blur to your additional elements you're comping in? I know Marvel is still shooting with slow shutter/motion blur when they add digital extensions or cg characters.
you need a highshutter speed otherwise your footage has motion blur and a video with motion blur isn't trackable. if you want to add motion blur after tracking in the edit, thats no problem.
@@twanoligschlaeger you can add motion blur to video that’s already shot?

Are you still using an old version of Blender? I've seen a few people say that once they update they can press prefetch without the program crashing.
you object is not tracked well why u show people that
This looks lot harder than After effects
After effects is a lot easier yeah, its just a couple of buttons. But not everyone has AE unfortunately.
