That’s an amazing basement. To each their own but I don’t like an open concept theater. With all that money I would’ve definitely made it a separate room. As long as they are happy with it that’s all that matters 👍

I don't think so. Nothing easier than to swap out a screen for a larger screen. Where is the size of the screen? These guys are amateurs, wouldn't trust them. How big is the screen?

And, who has 10' ceilings in their basement. I've never seen anything like that. Most of us don't even have that in our houses, lol. All that aside, some pretty incredible spaces there. The walls all around the theater are acoustic panels, just trimmed in so they don't look like it. The rest of the space would benefit from some more absorption, yes. Their walls/decor aren't finished yet though.
Beautiful craftsmanship and I really like the modern aesthetic. I would have closed off the theater and had the pub in the open concept area with one of the new available 98” TVs for casual viewing but that is just me.
Curious how big the bathroom is. Maybe there's an adjoining bedroom. Which most likely appears to be the case. I didn't see any windows around so there may be some compliance issues with points of egress especially if people are living in that area but again did not see the bedrooms.

That would be tough to estimate when you count all the materials from a variety of sources, and labor, since the basement was really done as a whole project.

The space is reverberant; you need acoustical panels everywhere.
The walls all around the theater are acoustic panels, just trimmed in so they don't look like it. The rest of the space would benefit from some more absorption, yes. Their walls/decor aren't finished yet though.
I would 100% put in some acoustic treatments. Your echo is noticeable in the main room where there is a lot of noise. Would help tremendously.
