THAT is a beautiful theater! I had one similar (not as nice, but custom chairs on risers, high-end projector, screen, same size room w/custom A/C, etc). Spent around 20k and it was my pride and joy and I LOVED watching movies in it more than going out to a theater. Then I got divorced. My current theater is a converted enclosed carport, with crappy acoustics, no insulation so the split a/c unit struggles to keep up with the beastly heat in the summer, frigid temps in the winter. I miss my wife, but I think I miss that theater more
@@CrustyNightSock Don't you know I took it apart and took as much of it with me as possible when I moved. The customized space I created was the biggest tragedy of the loss. I dream of the day I win the lottery and will have something close to Brian's theater ;)
This home theater is so awesome. I wish I could have something like that. I bet he can't wait to watch Maverick at home. That would be so much fun. Great job guys.
I was just thinking about Maverick. You nailed it! Now just trying to decide if I’ll watch it on physical media (ie Blu-ray) or rip the disc into MKV to take advantage of some enhancements through something like a Zidoo.
Glad you (and your wife) liked it Paul! My wife was definitely involved in some of the design choices to put it over the top! You know what they say, "happy wife, happy theater that I sometimes get to enjoy guilt-free". :)
In such a beautiful private cinema with luxurious decor, I admit to being surprised that you did not install JBL audio equipment. That said, Bowers & Wilkins is a very good brand but has no experience in professional cinema and film studios where films are made with JBL monitors most of the time. I would have seen JBL SYNTHESIS. But maybe it's a question of budget because JBL let's face it, it's expensive.
Tony, I LOVE how you put everything that was used in the build in the description. Nothing is more annoying when you see a sweet build on yt and they don't even mention the stuff used, let alone put it in the description! Great job man, keep up the great content!!

This is excellent. Very inspiring. It’s rare to see a HT room that has a cohesive and pleasing decor. I like the architectural elements with the shiplap and slatted wood. Thanks for sharing!
@@Brian-xt7yr I keep coming back to this one. I get major inspiration from this, as I think it's the best thought out theater of any I've seen, at any price range. The architecture and decor are perfectly integrated with the technology, which seems to be exceedingly difficult for even the high-end theater designers and installers. I rarely see proper 7.2.4 setups that are warm and inviting spaces for both family and adults.
Wow, just wow! This is one of the best ones I've seen so far and the size of the room matches my planned space, so I can get a decent appreciation for the amount of room to work with. One day, when I'm big, this is what my theatre will look like - for now, baby steps :).
Bravo Brian. That is one of the best home theater designs I have ever seen. Gear, acoustic treatment and just overall look of everything is top notch. Congrats and enjoy.
I have so many adjectives to describe your home theater, Brian. Stunning, beautiful, cohesive, classy, well-planned… that’s just the start. I love the “modernized classic” look with its high-end and balanced design that doesn’t read overly masculine or feminine. I love everything about the entrance. I love all the thought you put into creating a room that surely sets a very special mood and makes one feel fortunate to be in. The materials, color choices, lighting, textures, even scents…just superb, and I haven’t even mentioned the excellent AV equipment or acoustic treatment yet. This is one of my very favorite home theater rooms I’ve seen on YT, and I watch a loooot of these style videos. Your room will absolutely stick with me as I continue with my own room in progress, and I would be ecstatic to reach half the aesthetic that you have accomplished here. Exceptionally well done, sir.
Thank you for the kind words, Daniel. It's been a lot of fun sharing my room and getting such great feedback. Like you, I've spent a lot of time watching UA-cam tours, saving things on Pinterest, and trying to incorporate my favorite aspects of design inspiration. I'm really happy with where things are, but as with most hobbies, always looking forward to learning more and tweaking along the way.
This is a bit random, but would you mind telling me a bit more about the vertical wood slats you installed around your entryway light switch? I would love to do that with mine as well. Are they all separate or is it a pre-made panel? And if separate, are they oak, did you stain them, and do you just cut a 45 bevel using miter saw for the sections around the switch? Again, gorgeous and super welcoming theater design! I appreciate any response about the wood slats!
@@Brian-xt7yr I agree...it makes it quicker to react to any problem or a quick change... Trust me, I've been trying to figure out the best way to do that without leaving the theater. When money is no object, only your imagination is your limitation. So basically most of us are sitting here with our mouths wide open, and can only dream about it 😂
I'm not sure if you watched the follow up but Brian addressed this. He pretty much compared it to buying a dream car or spending money on any other hobby. He took out a loan to pay for this and even though I would never do it (my entire home theater is used stuff I bought at garage sales or on ebay) I can understand his approach. He's going to use this room for a decade or more and if his family spends a lot of time in there it will probably be worth it to him.

Thank you! Living in the Pacific Northwest it's pretty humid, so the combination of the dehumidifier, air purifier, hot air intake (for the rack), HVAC, and Pura scents keep the room comfortable and smelling fresh!
The soft close door is a fantastic touch. I love home cinema but at the same time, I appreciate multiplexes and the communal experience too much to ever give them up.
I agree, the soft close is great for the kids to come in and out. I love going to the movies but over the last 2 years, it has been difficult to find theatres that are open. I'm looking forward to revisiting to see the new Top Gun movie though!
