I totally recommended these guys as they've given me very honest assistance in helping me diagnose a CIC red screen issue I had on a e60 lci without just getting me to send the unit in
turned out to be an inline fuse near the unit had blown & Mihaela was the only person I found giving me suggestions on how to diagnose this issue myself!
Needless to say I'm very grateful & will always recommend these people.

    Hi,
    i have a bmw e39 530d facelift.
    The equipment list says:
    -S644 Preparation F Mobile Phone W Bluetooth
    -S609 Navigation System Professional
    -S676 HiFi Speaker System
    -S601 TV Function
-S672 CD Changer For 6 CDs
My problem with the sound is that I lose all of the bass and depth when I increase the volume. This happens no matter how much bass strength I have on.
It also happens that it shakes off all the speakers when I play songs with some bass in them. It sounds like all the speakers are blown up, but eventually go over. So in general the sound experience is crap, and I know that these cars have pretty good sound when everything works.
I do not have the DSP version of the 2-din player (navi) as I do not have the menu for this. But is of the large navi edition.
Wondering if it is original amplifier, radio module BM54 or original sub that is the problem?
Where can I troubleshoot or measure with a multimeter?
Thanks for the feedback and help

Well, you've come to the right place. Don't worry, a repair kit that is built and installed correctly should definitely recover the previous functionality of a BM54 radio. You just need to figure our if the kit is missing any components or if you skipped any of the necessary connections. Our engineers will gladly help.
First, we'll need to know what the repair kit you use looks like. The one in our video is made by us. Since yours was purchased from somewhere else, it is probably slightly different.
Please contact us through the contact form on this page: mca.electricmura.ro/en/repairs/bm54-radio-repair/ Please attach a picture of the repair kit you used (or link from the seller) and pictures of the BM54 board showing which connections you soldered. We will reply with troubleshooting instructions.

I have used this kind of amplifier

I use two of this amplifiers. They don't have stand by wire but I connect positive thermal to pin 16 ACC .That is power from ignition.First I have to turn the key in position to send power supply to the radio, that is normal. With lights off and engine off everything is perfect.Except no CD no AUX only radio work FM. So when I turn on the lights it start bzzzzzzzzz , when I start the engine I can hear the alternator noise and bzzzzz. When I turn off the radio it steel same noise nothing change. when I disconnect the audio signal from amplifier no noise. The noise coming from the radio audio signal. Before when the factory amplifiers was in good condition everything was perfect.Than I lost left side sound than after a year and the right side start fail. By the way I check the ground loop its fine.Maybe car radio noise suppression capacitor is failed if exist .When I turn the volume on high level the noise is overwhelmed. All traces are cut very carefully.

    Hello!
What kind of IC is there?
Clip function = Mute on IC input?
Mine was switched on when I turned it on, but Mute was not connected. Can you cause it?
    Thank You!

    •  6 років тому +1

Hi, László. We used the TDA8571J IC for the BM54 repair kit. You can easily find the datasheet online. You'll see it has a pin for clipping detection (pin V diag) and a separate one for mode selection (pin MODE), which handles the muting you mentioned.
Mind that clip function and mute are not the same thing. You will see in the video that we point to the two separate locations for these two signals on the BM54 PCBs too. The "clip" detection is used in order to limit distortions when sound clipping is detected. The "mute" signal is used for switching between the three operating modes: standby, mute and operating.

I installed TDA7388, there is, in principle, SVR =? Clip. SVR
Besides its contribution to the ripple rejection, the SVR capacitor governs the turn ON/OFF
time sequence and, consequently, plays an essential role in the pop optimization during
      ON/OFF transients.
To conveniently serve both needs, its minimum recommended value is 10 µF
      Thank You for Your help!
