And on a tele!! Also this is one of the only videos I have seen where you are doing the actual strum pattern and chords. Most people are adding an additional hammer on or pull off with the third fret down to the second fret. They were overdoing it. The beautiful thing about Static-X much like Rammstein is that they don’t play super detailed chords and yet it’s very distinctive and I love it and you did an awesome job. Don’t mind my channels page name. My daughter apparently uses it to show off her horses lol
@@hadeseye2297i don’t know if you’ve realized this yet, but a lot of simple metal riffs end up being extremely similar or almost the same. literally hating on a song for no reason💀
Not to take anything away from this amazing cover, ive seen static live 5 times and watched several live videos and I never see Wayne play the one finger power chords with the drop c tuning, when i learned this song i was taught it was in c standard tuning and if you watch Wayne live hes definitely playing regular power chords. I could be wrong just chiming in with my worthless 2 cents lol. Awesome cover man great tone.
Every tab on this is "technically" wrong. The notes are the same but are not played like Static-X. Everyone always shows everything in dropped tuning for the lazy guitarists. Wayne used C standard. Not only has he said this in interviews and tutorials but it takes a guitar player about 10 seconds of watching his left hand live to figure this out. Watch how tight he keeps his middle and ring finger and watch his index and pink constantly go up and down in unison when he is playing his sixth string. His open C power chords are a dead giveaway as well. His middle finger will always end up on the second fret of the 5th string.
To me it’s an inconsequential detail so I never care for it, there’s no discernible sound difference. You can adjust the fingering on guitar pro easily if you want to, it takes a couple of minutes

This song sounds like taken from White Zombie album, so I wouldn't call it distinctive. ;)

One riff but that is all that this needed.
This is so much easier than i was thinking. Was worried about keeping rhythm with the verses

Different tuning, same results. And easier on the wrist. Just because Wayne did in a dumb way doesn't mean we have to as well. 😂
This guy plays it the same way. ua-cam.com/video/d5BFhpkRfek/v-deo.html
It’s not lazy, it’s efficiency.
It does sound different though. You can test this for yourself.
