Hi everyone!! I’ll be in here today to say hi and reply, right after posting this yesterday I drove to Seattle and back (took one of my kids to visit his best friend for the weekend) so I was MIA!! Thank you for all the recommendations and talk *soon* !!
Hey Penny I'm not going to stop preaching the 7 Satara Seal Spray and Relax Serum! Do you happen to have a code for kin Store? I want to try a Medik8 product for my son but don't want to pay $48!
Hi Penny... do you think you can do a teaching video on vit c !! So many options out there !!! And I'm very scared that what I use is not good ! Like it's not active or something!!! Will you please ???,❤❤
I love the Trader Joe’s Hand and Body lotion with Moroccan Argan Oil- it has some great oils in it and is the perfect amount of moisture for me in winter. And it’s $4 a bottle 🤷♀️
That Aquaphor spray is such a great invention! It gets messy though, so best to use in the shower. Bioderma Atoderm cleansing oil comes in a ginormous 34 oz pump bottle and is currently $25 on Amazon. I love Gold Bond and Eucerin body lotions. I prefer to exfoliate with AHA on my body, so I’ll either use an AHA toner or Alpha lotion. I’ve started doing all my body care, even moisturizing, in the shower (right after I turn off the water) to seal in hydration. It makes it soooo much easier.
Great idea! Do you have any body AHA recommendations? I’ve tried several of the lotions (amlactin, glytone, and one other…), but they all dry down sooo sticky :(
Hi. I looked up the ingredients for the aquafor spray and it has Butane in it which I believe is not good for us. I'm copying band pasting about butane:Butane inhalation can cause brain permanent damage due to asphyxia. However, butane is also cardiotoxic and can cause both ventricular fibrillation as well as cardiac arrest. I remembered reading something about butane recently and thought I would share this
The Avene’ Body Balm (it’s a water based cream) is my absolute fav! I use it after every shower, then apply a body oil on top to seal in the moisture. I have done this for 15+ yrs and have baby smooth skin in my late 50’s. I too dry brush and do Chinese lymph drainage techniques and drink only water. Every little bit helps. Nutrition is key to good skin first and foremost. Thanks Penn for another great video, you are incredibly helpful. 😊
Which Avene Body Balm do you use? There are several I use the XeraCalm on my feet (dermatologist’s suggestion) and the Cicalfate wound repair when my skin gets irritated and raw (retin a!). Avene has great products.
I started using the Trader Joe's Coconut & Shea Butter Body Butter, & topping that off with Squalane Oil. It's FABULOUS!!! Penny, can you speak to actives for the body, in as far as anti-aging the skin, as well as ridding keratosis pillaris? I'm hearing body retinol is the way to go, but also hearing glycolic, & salicylic is good too. Can you speak to that, & how do we know which one to use, & for what conditions? Should we actually use all 3 & rotate them? Also, exactly how/when to do a rotation of those products. My ageing body skin NEEDS some 911 intervention!!! Thanks, hun.🤗
I thought I would pass along a body oil that I’ve made myself for decades. It’s equal parts coconut oil liquefied, another body oil that you prefer whether it’s Jacobo oil, or sweet almond oil, or anything like that, then I add about in my case I usually use one cup of oil to one cup of coconut oil and then about quarter of a cup of glycerin. But the key to making it look FANTASTIC is I add a shimmer powder, you can put as much or as little as you like. In the summer I had a little more. It’s very very subtle you don’t see it unless you look real close. I keep this in my shower when I’m still wet shake it up and apply it to damp skin. If you are using an active like the one skin I would damp dry my skin put the one skin on and then spread a little of this over. This pretty much takes the place of the Aquaphor however the glycerin adds a little something to attract moisture. Plus the shimmer is awesome. There are some shimmers that are tinted in the summer if you want a bronze kind of a shimmer it’s fantastic. There are so many shimmer powder if you can get them on the Shopmissa website for a dollar, wet and wild has them, they’re everywhere. If you’re not using any actives like the one skin put it right on in the shower on damp to wet skin and see how great your body looks
@@gategirl66 I really like it! I use straight body oil in summer but this is a great alternative in winter!! I do NOT like the Bio-Oil gel they came out with AT ALL. But the EUCERIN formula is really nice!
@@karamckaraton It's really too bad about the name of it. Since I have pretty sensitive skin, I completely avoid essential oils. Had it not been for seeing people online talking about it and saying it doesn't have essential oils I would've never dreamed of trying it!
Going to pick up that Aquaphor spray today! For a heavy duty body lotion, I have found nothing better than Cerave SA cream. Uber moisturizing and with a little salicylic acid to exfoliate roughness. Really helps with extremely dry skin and with eczema too.
i add ordinary's hemi-squalane to all my skin and hair products, it's around $4 and it lasts me 3 months. jergens oatmeal lotion is great too, BUT only the one that has 2% colloidal oatmeal actually listed as the active ingredient. around $8-12.
CLARINS oil !! Yes, i must admit it's expensive, but is so good !! Well,I iive in Europe and we do not have so many american (affordable) cosmetics here
This video is a short version of the one you posted several weeks ago. You had given us recommendations for a 3 day routine: 1) exfoliate, 2) collagen and 3) moisturizing. So, in this one, we exfoliate and moisturize pretty much at the same time. I have been using Aquaphor since you recommended it on that previous video and love it, indeed!
I know many have dry brushed for years and it’s become popular again but most dermatologists warn against dry brushing due to the injury it causes to the skin.
I bought Neutrogena Hydro Boost body spray. I keep this in my shower and apply while my skin is wet. Amazing!! I apply more body lotion after and my skin is so soft!
Going to start this next month! Now I alternate nightly between the GoldBond crepe corrector and the Alpha Skin care renewal body lotion. Both are wonderful products. I have a dry brush and will have to start really using it. I will try the cleansing oil and the Aquafor spray!!! Thanks for the great info!!!
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE What's the difference between that and Amlactin Daily Moisturizing Lotion? I just moved Amlactin to every 3 nights because I want to try a tanning lotion on my legs and I don't know how fast it'll fade
I use the One Skin and then put the Eucerin lotion that has urea ( thanks to you!) over it and my skin stays moist all day. I alternate with an AHA body lotion and on those days only use the One Skin at night. Thanks for your content, Penn!
Great tips! I learned this in esthetician school, works so well : ) and I use thick castor oil from NOW, it's so thick so I put it on quick after showering while still wet, and damp dry w/towel. I wake up feeling baby soft all over, and being 46, my skins getting dryer : ( but not when I do this! I try and do it every Night, it's so much faster than using a body lotion and it really absorbs and stays on the skin.
Thanks for sharing. I use ammonium lactate (like amlactin) after my shower at night & love how my skin feels. You're so beautiful!! I'm thankful for you being with us !
I just started using a drop of my tretinoin on my body again every other day or so. Either with derma e crepey skin repair or my new fav for face&body,Anti Age 27 urea repair cream.(Amazon) i alternate that with Amlactin. ❤❤
If you are into copper, I’m wondering if you use that copper and silk infused pillow. It’s a Canadian based company so I’m not sure how many people in the US know about them.
One skin is amazing! It has transformed my skin. It’s the only product that has kept my keratosis pilaris in check and my crepey skin. If I had to limit myself to one product (banish the thought😂) I would pick One Skin both face and body. Just started using the eye cream - tbd
You are just absolutely glowing! Thank you so much for these recommendations Penny! My skin is naturally dry but this winter weather is causing real havoc on it! Talk about sandpaper city lol.. I will definitely have to pick these products up! Have a wonderful weekend sweet friend! 🥰🥰
Ooooh, I've been meaning to do this but I've been lazy. My skin has been crepe so i need this, hope it helps me. I think I'll incorporate in the am. I also have and love the Oneskin so i think ill finish that. Thank you for all your recommendations and knowledge!! You and your hair look amazing as usual! Love the part and style. 😍
I’ve been making my own body oils for years. I find moisturising after shower tedious. So while I’m still wet in the shower I put the oil quickly all over me and pat dry. Quick and effective. I love camellia oil apricot oil, coconut with a bit of beneficial essential oils. Quick and easy🙂
I sure enjoyed this video. It was very timely. I was just looking at my hands today. thinking they look like alligator skin. My naturopath had recommended dry brushing downward at night to get rid of any excess energy before bed. I will definitely try out the Aquaphor. Thanks!
Can you do a video on updating older devices - what is better than the dermawand, the dermal-tone, and the face-master, many of us still have and use these older devices but would love to update them with newer better devices, but which ones are comparable or better? thanks
Thank you so much for this routine! I truly needed some ideas to help soften my skin! I usually keep telling myself, “next time I shower I will exfoliate and use lotion, but I like the routine you described. Also…… love your pink sweater!!💕💕💕💕 ,
I just recently found you and now I've 'unfollowed' everyone else as you are the GOAT!! Thank you for all your awesome advice and for sharing all that wisdom with us!! I've started microneedling at home and just got my Mito red light so I've begun that as well. I'm 60 years old and have been really working on anti-aging my aging skin. I have 2 requests for more information regarding these two at-home routines. One is about using these therapies for aging hands. The second is regarding crepey, sagging skin on my arms. Could you talk a bit about using microneedling and red light on those areas and if there would be any benefit to doing so? Also, what would the post treatment care look like? What depths would you recommend for these areas? Thank you soooooooo much!!! signed, a Big Fan
I was watching Doctor Dray on you tube and she recommended Eucerin advanced repair lotion, I got it in the medium weight. There is a little graph on the front with one side that reads light and the other reads rich. I got the one in the middle. The stuff is so good I started using it on my face. You can feel the barrier that it leaves on your skin. It's the most wonderful body lotion at drug store prices.
So doing this! My favorite body lotions are the Alpha AHA lotions and/or Cerave or GoldBon crepe erase for nourishing nights. Sometimes I'll mix retinol with Cerave. Thanks, Penny!
The ingredients in that aquaphor spray are horrendous. Butane is the #1 , you might be better off with just mineral oil, also NaPca spray is good and hydrating … I did order the naturium however.
Good morning Penny love all the information you make available to all of us!! It is truly heartfelt and sincere. At some point could you do a video on dry brushing? I have the one ocean dry brush which I have been using for sometime . Christmas my husband gifted me the higher dose, what is the advantage of the copper? Thanks so much for all you do for the community. Warm regards, Tcelia
I have started using CeraVae body cream since a family member has eczema and alternating with the Derma E body butter (love the spa-like fragrance) as posted in a previous video. This is almost like the Aveda Stress-fix but a fraction of the cost! Could only find the Derma E at my local Sprouts. I can definitely tell a difference changing over from the AmLactin body cream/lotion which does smell odd. Never tried the dry brush or Aquaphor spray mist so that's next on the list to purchase. Water and nutrition also very important!
@@jenniferlivingston1717 Hi, it's the Derma E Crepey Skin Repair Treatment (anti-crepe complex, Ccpper peptides and Resveratrol. Coes in a pretty mauve container. Nice and thick for winter skin repair! There is also a pre-treatment to exfoliate but I have not tried that product.
Hi pretty Penny! You look wonderful! This sounds like a great invigorating routine;I'm on it!!! This wouldn't work in the summer while self tanning though? Love you, Lydia xo
Great recommendations as always , thank you!, have ordered & can’t wait to begin this regime & hopefully see some improvement on my 61 year old crapey ski, especially n my arms ! Still waiting for my dry brush to arrive. In the meantime do you think using the aqua-horse spray over night cream before sleep might help boost the effects of my night time skincare cream,?
First timer here 👋😊 Xeraclam did not sound inviting at all. LOL ~ In your description However, I did sign up for Avene to try it but I cannot add samples OR the promo code you offered. The website basically keeps looping back with no samples and no promo code discount. 🤷♀️ Suggestions? Their eye cream also piqued my interest. Gets good reviews. *guess I missed the sale (?)
I have a question, my problem area is my belly. I have to loose much weight and I want to try a dermaroller, hopefully it helps my skin to regenerate. Which serum can help me? Sorry for my english, I am German😀
Yes absolutely will help with maintenance. Also try derma rolling on creepy skin. I watch a lady on UA-cam do derma rolling on her post pregnancy belly every 6 weeks and the results were amazing
I don’t usually use anything on my whole body every day, I agree, too expensive! I focus on my arms and décolleté year round and add my legs spring and summer (just being realistic lol) 💙

I have been using that ointment spray. Be careful with it as it will stain your clothes. Especially white or light colors will turn yellow.
ugh - so that's why I have yellow spots on my white towels - could NOT figure out wth was happening to them! Thanks for the tip!
I'm almost embarassed to say that I love Nivea for very dry skin...costs under $6.00. I love the scent as well.

I can definitely tell a difference changing over from the AmLactin body cream/lotion which does smell odd. Never tried the dry brush or Aquaphor spray mist so that's next on the list to purchase. Water and nutrition also very important!
Is the Derma E body butter the one with 12,000 IU vitamin E cream? Can’t find plain Derma E body butter. Thanks
@@elaineharter7494 thank you!
Is there any product that matches this without butane or petroleum based?
I start with snail mucin serum by Cos De Baja, you recommended years ago 😊
Then apply Eucerin Intensive w/10% Urea
Sooo good!
That sounds like a wonderful combo!!
I was today year's old when I found out Aquaphor had a body spray...OMG!!!!! 🙂
Hi Penny, how often do you recommend doing this routine?
I was wondering the same thing!
Hi pretty Penny! You look wonderful! This sounds like a great invigorating routine;I'm on it!!! This wouldn't work in the summer while self tanning though? Love you, Lydia xo
Hi Penn! Cannot wait to try this routine. How often do you do it?
Nothing beats Korres body butter. But they have some strange scents. I only use their guava or unscented.
I really like AmLactin Daily
Hi Penn, New to your channel. Love it! Can you give me your opinion on the Sergand microneedling pen please? Thanks much!
I bought the Naturium lipid bundle. It caused a MAJOR RASH on my arms!! Won't be buying that again!!
One of my eyes is so much more crepey underneath than the other! I need recommendations!! It’s making me crazy!!! Lol
First timer here 👋😊
Xeraclam did not sound inviting at all. LOL ~ In your description
However, I did sign up for Avene to try it but I cannot add samples OR the promo code you offered. The website basically keeps looping back with no samples and no promo code discount. 🤷♀️
Suggestions?
Their eye cream also piqued my interest. Gets good reviews.
*guess I missed the sale (?)
Yes, so sorry but the sale has ended. I will update my description box right now!
I have a question, my problem area is my belly. I have to loose much weight and I want to try a dermaroller, hopefully it helps my skin to regenerate. Which serum can help me? Sorry for my english, I am German😀
I don’t see the link for the scrub can you post a link penny ty
Hi Penn who makes your earrings? please and thank you
How often to you do this?
What aquaphor is this one? I have one that’s a spray but I think it’s just for itching. TIA
Could you tell us your opinion of Osmosis?
Is it good for massively crepey skin with no elasticity left?
Yes absolutely will help with maintenance. Also try derma rolling on creepy skin. I watch a lady on UA-cam do derma rolling on her post pregnancy belly every 6 weeks and the results were amazing
Buy a bag of vitamin c and bicarbonate soda and make your own. Products are too expensive to be using on a full body every day.
I don’t usually use anything on my whole body every day, I agree, too expensive!
I focus on my arms and décolleté year round and add my legs spring and summer (just being realistic lol) 💙
Hi penn ❤, i have super dark skin between my thighs, I’m tired of treating it , could you recommend something for my condition pls😢❤
Laser may be a way to go. There is lightening laser for intimate areas and I’m guessing it would work for thighs as well
@@Beautography7 thank you very much
Can we use a retinol body lotion or is that too much? I ordered the new one from Naturium.
Yes you can for sure!
I’m really excited to try the one from Naturium too!!
How do you add this in to your skin cycling routine?
I need a good brush. Can you suggest one?
Find brush with only natural bristles and a handle for easy use.
