Loved the older Datsun had a few of them 1966 to 76
I'd love to have an early 60's one.
I just realized I had on my Motorized Wheelbarrow shirt but I got some popcorn & took it off to watch this.
As what to do with the little truck, I would use it as a Wheelbarrow around the homestead & a mobile work bench/tool truck. Add a hydraulic lift to the back to lift stuff in & out of the bed.
You can always turn it into a party mobile just add a grill/smoker & coolers. Portable sink would by nice & don’t forget your tunes to entertain your guests. It would be a shame to just leave it parked just for parts. You can still take parts off when you need them. Be cool to have the kids paint it.
I'm getting more ideas by the day. Should end up being cool.
So nice!!!
521😻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼good work sir.

Thanks Pidge!
Mad scientist under the hood. Still waiting on the rebirth of the firebird.✌️
The Firebird is getting ever closer to happening. I'm excited for it too.
Beautiful truck
Thanks!
It is a beautiful truck. And the best part of it all, is that it was saved from the crusher.
Patience, love it
Thank you!
Love the "racing applications" 🏁
Helps with all the horsepowers.
@@ProjectTimeGarage 😆
Great video on the Datsun 521 series. As you know, I've got 2 of them having one for almost 45 yrs enjoying them still at 64. Extremely, reliable and dependable rigs. Too bad the mini trucks are not made anymore...
Keep your videos coming!!
Thanks Jim. Plenty of videos coming up!!
@@ProjectTimeGarage I want to see much, much MORE!!!
I STILL love this little girl. With time and a lot of patience, not only will this little girl come back to life again engine wise, with a little extra work and messin around, bet ya by golly wow, fixing the floor boards welding in replacement sheet metal along with whatever else can be needed, it will once again, see the streets as a whole new, rebuilt nice little truck to nock around Murfreesboro Tennessee with, along with giving it a whole new paint job, you'll be all set!
Whole lotta work to get this one nice again. Basically needs every single body panel. It's rusted out BADLY.
When I took my carb off my 521 there was a cardboard gasket made from a Rice a Roni box under it.
Ahhh, that's cool. I love finding things like that - if it works it works.
Beautiful carb
Thanks!
Awesome
Thanks!!
I wanna see much much MORE! I love this little 521 series truck.
Thanks!
@@ProjectTimeGarage I have read, that the years afterward 620 and 721 series trucks do indeed interchange parts with each other, including the 521 series trucks to. Might want to give that a shot in order to piece by piece get this little girl back up and running once again. Worth a try, what the hey, can't hurt.
It's February of 2024 now. Any nees as to what your doing with this little truck now? Sure would like to see an update on it.
It's still hanging out. It's mainly a parts truck as I cannot obtain a title for it.
Little pin and then you push out
Thanks, I was pretty sure someone out there knew the answer.
I hate when my fender falls off!
Dont'cha, though?
How’d you fix the heater hose
Just off-the-shelf hose from AutoZone, etc. I actually looped it back on itself, bypassing the heater core since I'm sure it's probably leaking.
Please fix it up. Keep the budget under $500 and you have yourself a 1000% better truck than I do (I don't have a truck yet).
We're gonna do something interesting with it.
I would buy it as-is if it were closer to me.
@@ProjectTimeGarage I want to see it, I want something to look and read about as I absolutely LOVE these 521 series Datsun trucks. To me, they are BEAUTIFUL looking little trucks, wish Nissan would go back to building this particular series truck, the 521 series trucks once again.
Would you say that new carburetor performs better than stock or around the same?
I was surprised that it ran so well, but it's probably about the same as stock. I'm sure the build quality is far below the original Japanese one, though.
Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!
I dread the day for sure.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Same here.
L-1500 No such thing.
Yeah, not L1500, just 1500. Simple mis-speak. Nobody died, all is still good.
@@ProjectTimeGarage ahh Loved watching the project. These little trucks are gems.
@@frankmick8683 did you see my other 521 series, the red truck? If not, have a look. It's been a great series.
@@ProjectTimeGarage I will tonight. I'm a 510 nutt but those are basically unobtainable now days. I have my eye on a 72, 521 with an L20B, original paint and interior, no rust.
@@frankmick8683 They are, and I sure wish they could once again come back into production. I love them to! What else would ya need?
