How?.. How did anyone even think about this? The Honda City was supposed to be a tiny thing anyway, for driving around town. Who was the guy that raised his hand at that board meeting and said: "You know what? What if we made an even tinier bike and put it in the back of our tiny car?". And everyone agreed and they made it.. And most likely, no pot was involved. Amazing...
So Roight On 🤓🖖 Bring back the Motocampo's Honda ; be noice if all car manufacturers made their Visions too Love Competition & Innovation Thinking inside the Boot 🖒 What has happened to Honda ? Me and my friend in NZ had several honda cities including a Turbo II and several of the E variant, and we were always on the look out for a moto comp to finish it off. This brings back great memories, thanks MCM!
Fuelfoxx they're two stroke to begin with, they don't require premix though. A 100cc properly ported and piped would be interesting to see swapped on to one of those bikes.
Just get some cheap Puch Maxi's. Every kid here has had one once in his life. Modding them, racing them to school. Good times. Most would do about 90km from a 70cc, one speed automatic.
It's always been my motto that it's more fun to drive a slow machine fast than a fast machine slow. Clearly demonstrated here. Good stuff guys. Love that you're keeping it real by remembering that you're goal is to have fun.
Love the ending when Benny picks up the crashed camera drone, kinda reminds me of how Frieberger yells BAM! At the end of roadkill/hot rod garage episodes! Love your videos guys! Always a treat to watch them after a long shift!
There are Electric Bikes that can be folded similarly and that takes less space in the boot as well. I don't know if charging them through the cars electrical system would prove effective, but that would be the thing. No more traffic jams, just take on of many free parking spaces outside city center and ride in on your bike. The bikes in my country usually have electrical assist to 25/35 km/h, other countries might do better so you might not even shed a tear of sweat on the way in. And you can take it inside!
After hearing the end... BEST VEHICLE VIDEO EVER. WHy? Because "it's the feeling". To many people, especially in the city I live in, are too competitive about their cars. So what if your car cost $100,000 more? I bet I get the same fun out of my $1,000 - $10,000 car.
Roclee612 Yeah. The reason $100000 car exists is for clickbait 16 year old vloggers to show off and then wrecked it a few months after owning it because they hooned it with traction control off.
Yes. I have driven a $100,000 car. I've driven an $800,000 car as well. But you're A) CONSTANTLY watched by A LOT of people, so you can't push the car, and B) It's much too powerful for our roads, so you can never really push it to it's limits.
It had been ages since H had seen a MCM video, but this Motocompo episode was an absolute laugh and reminded me why I love you guys. Keep up the good work!
Was my first thought, kinda surprised/disappointed that the anime didn't get a shout-out. That was so good, the Motocompo fitting in the back of the Today. I don't think you'd be able to ride the Motocompo up stairs though...
Yeah, and so did Miyuki's Today. Can't remember if it was the anime or the manga but she mentioned that it started as a 650cc meter maid's car but now had a 750cc big bore kit, turbo and nitrous among other mods she did to it. It's fair to assume that if Miyuki put that much work into her Today, the Motocompo wouldn't be stock either.
MrCorvairGuy yeah, still doesn't explain how her MotoCompo can keep up with a Mini ERA Turbo and a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo. Not that those two cars are insanely fast, but they are quicker than your average scooter.
I was thinking Miyuki had done an engine swap or something but after some Google-fu, I found a picture of Natsume carrying the bike on her shoulders with the side panels off. It looks like it still has the original 50cc 2-stroke engine and stock exhaust. According to some scooter forums, top speed was limited to about 40 km/h and you can only massage a little more out of it before you run into longevity issues. So, yeah. Plot armor speed and durability.
I haven't owned a car in a few years and haven't modded cars in much longer (way before I found this channel) but when I had a car, I always did what I could to fix it on my own. If I didn't know how I'd research it and learn. The only thing that stopped me were tools I couldn't easily get my hands on. I think I love you two so much because it reminds me of my mates and I helping each other learn and bond. Much love from Chicago, keep being rad guys. Oh, I also finally saw the city with a motocompo right before this video and it was bloody amazing.
If MCM ever decides to attempt a "Two Wheels" mini series (fill the gap between builds or seasons maybe?), I'd like to see the guys do something with the CT110 that is frequently in the background of many of their episodes. There is a massive cult following in Australia centred around "Postie" bikes and the fact that their engines share a similar layout to the Grom... imagine a 125 swapped Postie with EFI (cough... Haltech...) and electric start, then go one better with one of the many Big Bore kits available. I've been riding and modifying CT110s for 20+ years and I'd be happy to offer assistance and information where I can.
I saw this in the background of one of your other videos. It gave me a semi. Also, Honda have been working on an Electric version of this, with futuristic stylings... I'd much rather seen an electric modded one of these, just because it's awesome as it is, but for city living could have a few improvements made.
CockatooDude Google search Electric Motocompo. It's just a prototype or something at this stage. I think my boss mentioned it to me. I work as a mechanic/salesman at an electric bicycle retailer, so I hear a lot about all things electric, or I read about it myself. I think 2 wheels will trump 4 wheels in any urban environment, especially in places like London or Tokyo or New York or wherever, and electric has its benefits, which have been proven time and time again by a variety of people.
never realized I was grinning the whole time while watching the video. suzuki choi nori owner here. love these little bikes. so much fun! I would love to own one. thank you for the video mates.
I seem to recall that back when these came out, Honda put a bunch of superbike riders on them to have some fun on the track. I saw one of these while stationed on Okinawa, and they are truly a thing of beauty.

I legitimately thought you would fit a tiny turbo on the Motocompo
kinda hard on an engine with no exhaust stroke dont you think :p
C0UNTERCLOCKWISE 2Stroke's are able to turbo. wouldn't be really clever though
it does have an exhaust stroke. all ICE engines have an exhaust stroke. it just works different.
C0UNTERCLOCKWISE - hard, pointless, insanely fun - isn't that the MCM way?
miiklaa true but ruining such a rare little bike isn't
Now the price value is going to go up, great.
Jun Liew hurry up and buy one then ?
they are already collectible
prices have been high ever since the moped craze re-started. just have to wait and they will go back down.
Hope people enjoy and take care a piece of history. come to fit in a car and portable.
Jun Liew Also if there were any for sale they will or very soon disappear.
Those things are sick.
There is something undeniably cool about those bikes
Man. Honda and Toyota of the 80's and 90's were totally badass!! What the hell happened to them!?!
True
Soccer moms.
bliglum I feel that they're boring today
We still have the GT86
Soichiro Honda died, that's what happened.
How?.. How did anyone even think about this? The Honda City was supposed to be a tiny thing anyway, for driving around town. vtr0104 That's 80s japan for ya
vtr0104 Transformers were big at the time... so was Voltron. They literally said that in the video...
Honda is a company with lots of try and errors and many looks to go on production without marketing...
So Roight On 🤓🖖
Bring back the Motocampo's Honda ; be noice if all car manufacturers made their Visions too
Love Competition & Innovation

What has happened to Honda ?

That's a message for Manufacturers !!!
I suddenly require a honda motocompo...
Those things a flippin awesome! Always thought it was so cool they had those in the backs of Hondas! Need one for my Civic!
Honda should make an electric motocompo for the Honda-E
Lol I was thinking the exact same thing, thought it was funny to see this comment at the top.
i think they are making one
Honda made a trademark for a new Motocompo, just google "electric motocompo"
They should make an electric version
@@lman22 actually they trademarked the name "motocompacto"
Me and my friend in NZ had several honda cities including a Turbo II and several of the E variant, and we were always on the look out for a moto comp to finish it off. This brings back great memories, thanks MCM!
How about 2 Stroke mod Guys? Lets see how much Hp you can get out of the motocompo and race it again
Fuelfoxx they're two stroke to begin with, they don't require premix though. A 100cc properly ported and piped would be interesting to see swapped on to one of those bikes.
Fuelfoxx too rare to fuck this bike man, just let them be original
Yes thats what I mean. Knew that they are already 2T
Porting, Resopipe, Big Carb and an Reedvalves.
Yeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssss
Just get some cheap Puch Maxi's. Every kid here has had one once in his life. Modding them, racing them to school. Good times. Most would do about 90km from a 70cc, one speed automatic.
I need the IG of the starter girl please

5:05 Did Moog just hint at a new car???
"Stick it in the back of the Honda"
uMovie97 i think he did
hope its a type r of whatever sorts
uMovie97 after his s2000 i don't see why Moog would buy another honda. but hé who knows
+Tehidiotboys it's probs a Honda city. the motocompo won't fit in any other Honda then the city so that's my guess
Could be an Odyssey
how the hell have they not brought these back in 2016 as ELECTRIC!!!!
Stavros Vorkas Would be cool! but for it to go a fair distance it needs a pretty large batterypack... or it would be very expensive.
Stavros Vorkas Would be cool! but for it to go a fair distance it needs a pretty large batterypack... or it would be very expensive.
JorrisvdBerg but it's a city solution, so you wouldn't need more than 30km

Nima Foroughi but what about the cradling that the vibrations of my engine produces?
After hearing the end... BEST VEHICLE VIDEO EVER. WHy? Because "it's the feeling".
To many people, especially in the city I live in, are too competitive about their cars. So what if your car cost $100,000 more? I bet I get the same fun out of my $1,000 - $10,000 car.
Roclee612 yeah but I'd rather trash with the 1000$ car
Roclee612 Yeah. The reason $100000 car exists is for clickbait 16 year old vloggers to show off and then wrecked it a few months after owning it because they hooned it with traction control off.

My car cost $350 and I have had it for 7 years and love winding the piss out of it. Keeps up with 90 MPH traffic on the interstate no problem.
was waiting for turbo yoda to show at end with his turbo charged version
It had been ages since H had seen a MCM video, but this Motocompo episode was an absolute laugh and reminded me why I love you guys. Keep up the good work!
anyone seen the anime "You're Under Arrest!" ? there were 2 main characters. One had a Honda Today G, and the other had the Motocompo.
Was my first thought, kinda surprised/disappointed that the anime didn't get a shout-out.
That was so good, the Motocompo fitting in the back of the Today. I don't think you'd be able to ride the Motocompo up stairs though...
furinyan Natsumi's bike had "plot-armor" amounts of power.
Yeah, and so did Miyuki's Today. Can't remember if it was the anime or the manga but she mentioned that it started as a 650cc meter maid's car but now had a 750cc big bore kit, turbo and nitrous among other mods she did to it. TIL my chainsaws have a bigger engine than the motocompo... time to start modding on my parts saw!
Well it already has a sprocket drive...
Ohh well time to ruin the motocompo price :(
Because everyone complaining about this were avid motocompo traders, right? Don't be silly...
Because everyone complaining about this were avid motocompo traders, right? Don't be silly...
I used to buy these to repair and flip, Now a fucked one will be worth a lot more... Mate.
Where I live they are so expensive. How much do you buy one from where you live?
depending on condition i used to sell for about $4000 AUD
now turbo charge one and supercharge the other
There was a honda city turbo
In those two laps you made me smile more and feel more entertained than watching f1 for the last few decades. hahaha Lots of overtaking!
ONE IN MY AREA FOR 3500 lol
First time running into more skids in the wild lol

Love the chick's enthusiasm...
Even though I'm subscribed I don't see your videos in my feed on youtube anymore. Glad to see you are still making content.

This episode was so funny! Thanks a lot guys for making such great videos! And i looked like so much fun racing those motocompos...so awesome!
I'd love to see more bike stuff from you guys.
Pro tip; EVERYTHING fits in a Volvo.
Tommy Erhardsson Skägg Even another Volvo
except dignity.
The V40 is a french bastard, and the v60's chinese.
In real (RwD) Volvos - everything fits. ...Except dignity.
The V40 is built in Belgium, not France...
Tommy Erhardsson Skägg i got a 760 and i can attest to this comment
Ok, i liked the moto compo, but who is dat girl????
Sherryl? XD
I can tell she is soooooo excited to be there.
THICC

TWO MOTOCOMPOS!!
WAIT, WHAT. THREE!!?!
Jamalma Zahoe hahaha, i got three as well. 2 yellow, 1 red.
I saw this in the background of one of your other videos. It gave me a semi.
Also, Honda have been working on an Electric version of this, with futuristic stylings... I'd much rather seen an electric modded one of these, just because it's awesome as it is, but for city living could have a few improvements made.
Wait really? That shit would be amazing. Where did you hear about it?
CockatooDude
Google search Electric Motocompo. It's just a prototype or something at this stage. I think my boss mentioned it to me. Alex Paulsen I will be sure to look it up, thanks a ton man.
never realized I was grinning the whole time while watching the video. suzuki choi nori owner here. love these little bikes. so much fun! I would love to own one. thank you for the video mates.
I seem to recall that back when these came out, Honda put a bunch of superbike riders on them to have some fun on the track. I saw one of these while stationed on Okinawa, and they are truly a thing of beauty.
Can you please put Benny's "FAIIIL" at the end of every video like MotorTrend does with Freiburger saying "BAM"
MCM = MotoCompo Mods
The ultimate apartment bike.
That is just the coolest little bike ever! It showcases Honda's outstanding ingenuity and design brilliance even decades ago. I had never seen or heard of this bike until today and just fell in love with it. How fast can it go?
and when you unlock this cover, yes, you discover this mightycarmods t shirt, and yes they did fit these originally from model year 83 to 87, and yes it was a standard no-charge feature once the customer ordered the moto thing.
More fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. The smiles prove it.
That is what you say when you ride a 250 faster than a guy on a 600 or something
Motocompo can't go fast even if you tried
The fun of motocompo is not speed it is turning heads
You will get more attention on motocompo than driving a Ferrari
5:17 Sheryl looks young for her age!
Sheryl?
The real challenge was not crashing because of looking at the track girl.
Stroopwafels are amazing! A couple months I got a hold of one and have loved them ever since.
I want one of these to carry on my Honda CB 1300 now! Awesome little bikes. Great fun video guys!
Keep this comment at an odd number of likes
0 is an even number
Big Cazza No zero isn't a divisible number.
How long before somebody LS swaps one of these things?
I'm disappointed that I will never has as much swagger as Mechanical Stig when he was rolling up with his red Motocompo.
hilarious episode. looked like so much fun
This is really awesome. Wish car makers still did stuff like this. Great for city life
More of the Sheila next time please.
Notification SQUAD MAKE NOISE!
Is that a guest appearance by Cheryl I see??
Its about time you guys start doing mighty motorbike mods
Almost 1million views. Congrats MCM!

More of the girl next time!

That flag girl though. I'd like to take her out on a date
Kyle W she had a nice hips to waist ratio

I'll let her know that guys in the comments are interested and I'm sure she'll be so very excited to come here and choose one of you. I'll keep you posted fellers

This thing needs to be electric.
Forget the motocompos, I want to go for a ride on the flag girl. I'm a leg and thigh guy.

This video was both the best and saddest thing I've ever seen.
I enjoyed every second
this is great, interesting and different
They sound like a swarm of angry bees

Jarus Samagaio i think she works for marty and moog as i seen her in 1 of the turbo challenge

ronan mc885 Cheryl
dang that girl thick
thick? the only person being thick here is you, damn.
he means thick set.
Why do these perverts show up every time a female appears in a video?
***** "we all", when one person said something, but alright.
***** Not under this comment though ^^
Man, this track looks so cool with this little bikes!!
this is a masterpiece, why people never make this stuff again?

There's one on eBay and it's $6000 :c
Hugh Jazz yea I literally went on ebay after watching this and saw it lol it looks fun but I'm not dropping that much on something so small.
Diosvencedor9 that's not what your girl said. BOOM.
Mod it and make it faster!
Best fun on MCM! Please make more episodes motorcycle related.
Thanks for 300 episodes of awesome. Keep it up!
