The Honda Dax E look more like the successor for Motocompo than the new Motocompacto lol.

Comparing the prices is disingenuous when you don't tell people scalpers have made the prices skyrocket.

And with that honesty out there, that is the real issue with these things for most folk. The rider weights limit reality of users for them.

Ditto, thinking I am Kase x2 and Alex x3. I'd give these cycles 50ft - downhill - wind at my back - before they blow an engine

    I like the compo more.
The compacto seems like a product in search of a solution, a folding electric scooter is less of a pain and just as small. This only has the benefit of a seat, but you can get scooters with seats.

The compo used to require strapping down in the trunk because the fuel tank would leak when laying on its side. Anyone who thinks the compo is functional don't understand how impractical it was back then.

I like how long the old compo lasts. It was built to last it will still probably be around when this one will need a whole battery you midaswell just buy a new one with a new battery at that point.

@@rl7343Hol up, it leaks when you lay it on the wrong side. Does it leak when you lay it down as actually indicated?

any plans to include the benelli TNT 125 for the mini bike series? the groom is not available for sale in MX and i'm wondering if the TNT is a worthy alternative.

Suburbanites might not get a lot of use out of either. They were primarily designed for inner city travel. Short jaunts from building to building. Which is a shame, because these things like other small forms of 2 wheel modes of transport would be great for reducing congestion. IF they designed more "small 2 wheelers" that would support large weighted people that were street legal or allowed to use the sidewalks, I bet it would catch on. No more parking problems. No more sitting in traffic jams.

They do, have you seen the sheer variety of escooters available? Some of them can take 160 kg and still go 60 km/h.

Standing scooter for me I think. Maybe even one with a seat.
Other than to draw attention to myself, idk what I'd do with these. They'd just gather dust & one needs fuel maintenance. That wheel size looks scary.
I guess they're a cheap way to get a marketing headline & eyeballs on your brand

I guess, like the Cybertruck in the background, we're in a time where technology has in some ways surpassed casual consumer demand. So I guess we're getting products we didn't really ask for, and often don't need. But it's always been that way; just look at the history of 80's/90's as-seen-on-tv & other fads

Right because scooters fold it just needs to be short and compact with a folding seat. Scooter wheels theyre durable.

I'd still take the OG Motocompo hands-down.
Since we know it can survive 30+ years, it'll go on another 30 while the new Motocompacto will be designated into e-waste in under 10.

I'm no expert on the new motocompo but the other channels I've seen have had the front wheel turned after unfolding. Give it a try and it could possibly improve the steering geometry.

I'd don't think I live in an urban enough area with the lifestyle to make one make sense, and I don't have much margin on the listed 265 pound weight limit even if I did, but I still kinda want one.

Actually, they were designed for inner city travel. Going for short distance jaunts. To minimize traffic foot prints. Like the mopeds and the likes. Just won't ever truly catch on in the USA as they won't be allowed on the streets legally, nor will sidewalk use be allowed. So, just a toy.

OG motocompo is perfect for what it was designed to do.
Compacto is not designed nearly as efficent or user friendly.
