Dirk rules I'm a long time Soilwork fan and was excited when he got the call up to join Megadeth.
I could watch and listen to Dirk speak for hours about anything and everything. Such a remarkable, sensitive man that truly loves what he does and is so very passionate about his many works and interests. I hope he is the last drummer Megadeth ever has or needs and I pray that he'll be with them for at least another decade. When Dave hangs up his guitar, it will be a sad day and I will be in mourning as will multitudes of his fans. I have grown that close to Dirk in a short time because I see the same passion in him. Long live Megadeth and their current lineup. God's blessings on them all!

I was the biggest Scarve fan, Irradiant just blew my friends' and mine mind, especially the silent blast. I couldn't believe it when I got to hear Dirk's playing on my riffs on Coronary Reconstruction a few years later.

Just found out about this guy after the mr bright side video which sent me down a rabbit hole of his work,what an amazing guy/drummer and to find out on this video he’s a big Prince fan,I love him even more 👌

It's a shame that he didn't mention Sybreed's Antares which he did session drums on. Probably the best album from a band with a flawless discography and a sound that was very unique. His work on that album really elevated it above the rest though. Dirk's career is truly unreal.
Dirks drum work on Phazm's Hate at First Seed is tremendous !
For me Dirk will always be a Soilwork drummer. I believe Megadeth put him in a sort of a box, restricting his creativity. Soilwork is where he always shined and pushed the boundaries.
One of the best modern drummers in metal IMO.

I remember I was bummed when Dirk went to Soilwork because I knew that would end Scarve, I love Soilwork, I just wanted both bands to release more music, I'm still hoping Scarve will release a new album some day... how about some vinyl reissues in the meantime, huh?
I miss Scarve
Irradiant is such a standout record, not just in Dirk's career, but in metal overall. Terribly overlooked, unfortunately. It, like all Scarve albums, has a sonic landscape that no other music is really able to capture. It feels like being trapped in the 5th dimension and I love it.

@@feroxk.9266 RIP to a legend. But Guillaume had already left by the time The Undercurrent came out, at which point Lawrence Mackrory (Darkane) had replaced him. So another record with Lawrence is technically possible!

I'm kinda sad Mustaine is so tired these days, he can't play for shit anymore and his singing is painful to hear... Dirk deserves a pristine Megadeth experience, you can't blame the guy for catching the opportunity of playing with a band he admired in his childhood

@@ChaosPootato Dave deserves to be tired at this point in his life. He's seriously still in recovery from throat cancer. chemo and radiation took a major toll and it takes time to come back from that even when the cancer has been conquered. Give him a break and be happy he can still do what he does and Dirk is there helping him be able to do it. He has breathed new life into Dave. It's obvious. Be thankful

Prince was some sort of Warlock or something to do with the occult? There's a story online of some dude who came across Prince he was suspended in the air in the middle of his studio. The dude seen something he is pretty freaked out... There is all manner of Magic going on right under our noses.
