Hello, I’ve watched your video on decopauged jars and I loved it. I’m in Australia and we have a hot Christmas nevertheless we use napkins with snow on them. My husband is one of eleven children in his family so I’m going to decopauge some food jars to give as gifts this year. Thank you for sharing your brilliant ideas. Edda.

I really love your technique! The plastic bags to secure the napkins is a brilliant idea! Also love that you chose an off white color as you are right, the white is too stark. Also brilliant that you chose to wait about a day for the first coat of mod Podge to dry before moving on to the 2nd coat of mod podge so the napkins don’t rip. Very nicely done! UPDATE: I did a practice run with tissue paper for gift wrapping, instead of napkins. It does work. I used 2 layers on an unpainted glass piece. It was still slightly see-thru and the wrinkles in the tissue paper added texture. This is a good alternative for napkins if you want to put lights inside.

Anyone that stops by my house over the holiday season gets a small home made gift. My grandma used to make a hot chocolate mix using nestle quik, dry milk powder, and a bit of powdered sugar that I've always wanted to make some for these little gifts but could never figure out a container that suited me. These would be perfect. There are so many "gift in a jar" recipes out there that would work for this. Cookie mixes, soup mixes...you could even cram one full of art or craft supplies.
