I bought mine back in 2018 and now it's over 7 feet tall and is almost 4 feet wide from branch tip to branch tip. It's has taken over my dining room and the entire south facing front window, but it's gorgeous and I'm much grateful for it because it shows no signs of slowing down or stress
Wow! That's awesome! Sounds like it is super happy!
@@greensideupgardengifts2165 Thank you! I wish I had more space because the poor thing is cramped on one side but it has fresh green shots all over it including new branches growing at the top. So, my pine isn't bothered by the tight space other than it looks like a steady trade wind as been blowing on it
Awee thank you for the information! Imma take good care of my little tiny pine tree.☺️
Good luck!!
I just bought our Christmas tree & found your video on caring for it.
You sound so caring. ❤

Absolutely!
Jane! I was so happy to see you pop up in this video. We used to work together at Malmborgs. You're a natural on camera! ❤
Thank you! I was seeing conflicting info on how much and when to water it. This was very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the wonderful information!
Our pleasure!
The best gentle insecticide I've used on my houseplants is 1 tbs of Dawn to 1 QT Spray water bottle.Spray away and gently use your fingers to massage the insects off. The plants absolutely Love it. They perk up immediately every time.
Great tip! I've used that as well!
I just bought a little one 12" high here at a nursery in Alaska. I can't use my Christmas tree this year due to a rowdy pup I just don't want to have to fight over it so I bought this for the table. Now I see it can't go outside and I can keep it growing nicely inside the house. It's quite a beautiful little soft tree.
Bought a house in Florida and it has two of these beauty's in the backyard. Each tree has 3 trees growing from the base. Theres more starting to grow up from the base. They are about 60' tall. The needles are used to make terpentine.
Oh, I bet they are beautiful! I love seeing trees and plants growing in their natural habitats!
I had one at my beach house in Galveston and it did well and reached the height of about 25ft and then dies in the freeze we had. Subscribed and like 64
Thank you so much for your support! 💚
Khub sundor pilant valo laglo 👌

😀
I LOVE this tree☺️. Does home depot only carry thees during Christmas? Cause I don’t see them now
I'm not sure if Home Depot carries these year around. My garden center, Green Side Up, does though.
My plant is drying out. Norfolk pine. HELP! please.
Happy to help. Please paint me a picture if you don't mind. Light, water, location? It is near a vent? Humidity?
North window, high desert California. 70/80 temp. Water every 7 days. I do see water at drain. Same pot when bought at Christmas
My Norfolk Island Pine is anything but soft, as you described. The leaves or needles in this case, feels like needles. The branches are curled on the ends but it's pretty and green. It has plenty of water, maybe to much. Any thing I can do to soften it up?
What you describe definitely sounds like a moisture thing. How is the humidity? They are native to Florida, so they are use to high humidity levels. I would recommend placing a humidifier next to it.
This is definitely a humidity problem! (Or disease if it is progressing) they’re so soft when happy!
I have a 16 year old one. He's 7 feet high and still growing. Suddenly, gnats are attacking the soil. I water every 10 days and mixed a peroxide /water solution, and it seemed to have helped. His leaves are a little droopy now. Have I hurt him? I also dusted the top of the soil with food grade Diatomaceous Earth.
It is probably more shock. But make sure it isn't sitting in water. What are the other growing conditions? Light? Soil type? etc.
Hello
I have a question..? My Norfolk pine tree is about 3ft now. It just suddenly got hard brittle and sad. How do I help her? How do I bring her back? She just want to fall apart.
Do you have her near a floor vent/register? If the heat is on, you could be drying it out.
Great info!! Do you recommend any fertilizer for it at certain times of the year?
Typically, no. I don't know. However, if you notice that your indoor plants are still pushing out new growth, you can fertilize once during the winter.
I bought a tree that has 2 branches in a pot. Can I separate them into two pots? What’s the best way to do this without causing too much stress on the plant?
Hi, there. As long as they are truly two different plants, you can split them. I would recommend doing this in the growing season, so not until the spring.
Can I keep mine outside in the summer here in Boston?
Yes, as long as the nighttime temps don't drop to 50 degrees or below.
Can you control the height? And what happens after it reaches 8ft? Just dies?
Yes, in a way, you can control the height. It will grow to its environment. No, it will not die once it reaches 8 feet.
Does that tree can grow at the Florida?
Yes, you will see it growing in Florida.
I moved my Norfolk Island pine outside after winter and after 1 day the top began to drop as did some of the upper branches. How can I find out what is going on. I live in San Antonio.
Hi, there . It could be stress from being moved essentially to another climate (indoors vs. outdoors). This isn't uncommon. How is it doing now?
I just brought one home from Walmart and I’m realizing it’s been spray painted dark green 😩 I gave it a really good rinse in the sink. Do you think it’ll be okay? It doesn’t seem to be too heavily painted. It’s quite a good size tree too, I hope it fairs well.
It should be ok!
Should I prune off the stems when they curl and turn brown?
Yes, you can prune off the dead.
What is causing my stringers? I guess you’d call them to fall off it’s always been just a very few but the last week there’s been a lot of them falling off.
where is this plant located right now?
My legs are dropping I don’t know if it’s too much water or not enough water
How much water is it getting currently?
I was giving enough folk Island Pine plant and it's on the verge of dying I was wondering if it can be brought back to life
It depends on how far gone it is. Send us a picture to sales@greensideupgifts.com and we will try to help!
I got one today and pot doesn’t have Draining hole ! Do you it can be a problem? Thank you
I highly recommend that it has a drainage hole, otherwise it will be sitting in water. They don't like wet "feet."
Thank you for the respond I just change the pot

why are there multiple plants together? can you grow them singly?
This is usually how they are started and grown in the nurseries and make them fuller in the pot.
