It's hard to complain about this house for the price. Easy walk to the station and not far from a major Tokyo station. Built in 2009 means it has no structural issues... just 3 floors on a small lot kind of issues. They are a young family so going up and down stairs for a few decades is easy peasy. They'll just have to be careful carrying things on them. Do they really have a parking spot? The car would park on the septic tanks... wait... is it septic rather than city? At best it looks like even a Kei car would stick out. It looks more like a private road than official parking though. In any case it looks to be a good deal
this my plan too. I stayed for a couple months near this house pretty nice area and like the name says you always have a nice view of mount fuji and good trips to kawagoe and ikebukuro and there is fast trains to tokyo area. I like the kamata area and nishifunabashi. gonna keep checking out your videos thanks
$75k is not even enough for a down payment in California. What are the rules for non-citizens in Japan? How long can you stay at a time? Can you travel outside of Japan and come right back or do laws require you to stay outside of Japan for a certain time before coming back?
EU and US Citizens can stay visa-free for 90days no questions asked and extend it to 180days - per year iirc. (the extension is just a formality, afaik. you dont need to prove or justify anything)
Hi Shu, i filled out your Akiya Assist. Super decisive and ready to make a move to the next step. Interested in rental and Vacation. I know you guys are busy but am definitely hoping that you will select my application. I from Maple Ridge, BC . Canada
Around How much would it cost to build a home with personal indoor basketball court size around 12m length and 5m width with high ceiling + a small room and a bathroom within around an hour of tokyo maybe in Saitama? I love going to Japan and Tokyo I go multiple times a year and watching your videos want to make me get a vocational home there but its a struggle to find indoor bball courts in tokyo so I wanna make one for myself!
I understand and as a Californian who has lived in Japan 2x 90's-2000 & mid 2000's..and visit 1-2x a year, and I'm a Perm resident of Japan and may return..not sure if more than extended visits but Japan should hurry up and be like the rest of Asia Pacific minus Australia? that should allow home purchases for PR, and Nationals. I can. go on and on but keeping it short...
I reside just beside of this city in Saitama. A few reasons why people rent. These prices are kind of a deal and are not found often. JP people don’t really buy used houses. Buying brand new built houses for around 20m to 40m yen is the norm. Some people like to move around often, and just like renting. (Japanese people fear loans. )
dani California...😅 ...hmm you might be able to find a run down trailer home in California for 75k...you can buy a plot of land in the middle of nowhere for 75k in California. I'm not sure if they have many studios you could buy - that's usually a rent only situation or the entire building for sale which would be millions of dollars. an apartment or condo could be for sale but then you're probably looking at well over 75k...when a regular looking house goes for 750k, 75k would be a low ball amount just for the down payment and then you'd have probably a 30 year mortgage ☹
Sorry Shu, I have to say this: I just hope that all those Californian's moving to Japan don't ruin it, they came here and the working class can't even afford houses anymore! On my street is nothing but Californian's, one family from Ohio, one from Kansas, one from NJ, I don't have anything against people, but please remember your forcing poor working class out of their homes, so the developers can build a $300k and up home for you! You nevet wanted to live here before, why now all of a sudden! The same thing happened to me where I grew up, rich people came in and took over the town because they didn't want to live in Boston anymore! Gentrification at its worst!!
@@cooliipie But these investors usually buy houses near Tokyo or other important locations that many Japanese desire because of their work etc. Yes there are many millions of abandoned homes but they mostly are in rural areas and Japanese often cant utilize them because they need said location. If more people from overseas would buy vacation homes in more rural areas, the country would benefit greatly, however this current trend of foreigners buying homes in desired locations is not good for the Japanese I think, especially when they are not even typical Akiya like the house presented in this video I dont like the mindset of "taking advantage because its cheap" like this gentlemen in the video said, I think your motivation should be the appeal of the country itself, the people, the culture, the nature, the food whatever you love about the country
What can you get with $75K in your country?

As a Californian maybe you can find a place for 75k in a desert community. But it would probably be abandoned and very rundown or just land.

Fujimino looks like a nice area and the house looks amazing!
$75000 is insane, in Vancouver we can buy one parking spot with that price in hot area.

In Toronto, $100k just can buy a downtown condo parking spot. Amazing. Cheap. I love to buy and retired in Japan also. 😊
You can’t even get a parking space for $75,000 in California
Japanese people always is the most polite person and safe place to live in.
omg i need a vacation home 😮
I’m from CALIFORNIA too
$75K in Bay Area maybe you can buy a parking spot for a compact car in a bad area
Did the price of the house include the land too?
Japan 🇯🇵 ❤

So Japanese nationals can't purchase homes in Japan? A permanent resident can't buy a home in Japan?
Californians should not be allowed to buy real estate ANYWHERE on earth , stay in your shit state please!
Why do people even bother renting if the houses are so cheap?

Yes and no. There are many millions of abandoned homes in Japan. Declining birthrates too
They also bring their politics and transform the area until it’s unlivable again then move on to the next location like cancer.
