- While Pokemon games are naturally filled with tons of the Pokemon themselves, there are also some Pokemon that are mentioned within the games that we never get to see! These secret Pokemon are mentioned in various ways, but to this point, we’ve never have gotten a chance to see them for ourselves, and in this video, I’m going to be covering 25 of these secret Pokemon that we’ve only ever heard about so far, and try to shine a little more light on them!

I love the detail of Wheezing carrying the Leon ball when talking about its three headed variant.
That was neat
If wheezing had another evolution it would be called choking
Gagging
We found the legendary 3-headed wheezing!
Couldn't the 3 headed name be Exhausting or Fuming?
In the 1st chunk it could retroactively be urshifu and cubfu
That's what i was thinking
I was thinking the same.
Honestly I thought it was about Sawk and Throe, maybe they were gonna have evos
@@thomasfinch2157 Also a possibility. Or they would have gotten one pre-evo that evolved based on Attack and Defense (Attack for Sawk and Defense for Throh).
That is exactly what I was thinking
For the Magnezone "furthered evolution" they could very well have meant MEGA evolution. Many third stage Pokemon can "evolve further" when going mega. It being a rumor also fits it never actually being given a mega evolution. So the entry checks out pretty solidly imo.
Not if the Dex entry was from black and white where Megas don’t exist
@@jacklantern7479they usually develop 2 sets of games at a time, it very well could've been intentional
I take it at face value. It'd make sense that scientists would be curious if there could be a 4 stage evolution, and using a pokemon who hypothetically evolves by magnemite gathering together makes sense.
@@enbymonstercanthey werent developing XY before B2W2
I was thinking the same thing, I think it’d be really cool too if the scientist turned out to be Colress and he was able to create a Mega stone for his Magnezone
There are four more that are mentioned but never seen
- The Original Dragon of Unova before its body split into Reshiram and Zekrom while leaving Kyurem as a husk
- The three unnamed Pokemon who died in a fire at the Brass Tower before Ho-Oh resurrected them and turned them into Raikou, Entei, and Suicune
With the last one, I have a theory. Have you seen the beta sprites of the legendary beasts? These are actually dog like. And I think in a Pokemon generations special, they show the pokemon in the burned tower and the shapes of them look very similar to their beta designs. So how the theory goes is that their beta designs is what they used to look like. And when they got reborn, they became their current forms..
Though I'm not sure if that reborn thing was added as a reference to it's beta form (like how they say Vulpix was born with 3 tails and it's beta pre form has 3 tails) as I don't think they planned on us finding out. Who knows. If it was a reference to that, it's pretty clever.
Yes but I think he's covered those in multiple past videos.
Well it's just a matter of time until Gen 5 remakes happen.
And they'll put in the original Tao dragon, and it's gonna be another giraffe with thyroid cancer.
The Pokémon are flareon, jolteon, & vaporeon
forgetting one more and thats the original form of corphish because the one we know is actualy addapted from the corphish from its original region
The foster could be inspiration for Drakloak, as it is fast and one of its dex entry says that if a Drakloak doesnt have a dreepy on its head, it will panic and search for another pokemon to take care of.
I feel like the “Spirit” Pokémon could have been an evolution to chimecho? Chimecho was introduced in Gen III and honestly the pokédex entry immediately reminded me of chimecho! plus chimecho’s design can pull off the ghost typing!!
I thought the same. I'd love for them to make it relevant, it's so forgotten about.
Chimechi was late in development added so i wonder if there's a chance the beta rse has it
personally the detail about the horn and the rattling head makes me think of skull kid from zelda
Chimecho evolved into Sirenhead!!
Ever thought it could be
dunsparce which could also pull a,ghost alike design and the rattling tail isn't to search far off either.
In his evolution dundunsparce his body becomes longer maybe evolution 3 has that horn?
Imagine the foster Pokemon changing types based on which (possibly baby Pokemon) it was carrying. Like a Normal/Fire type if it carries a Magby, or a Normal/Electric variant if it carries Elekid.
Personally, I would love to see the unified dragon from Unova.
Legends kyurem ? 🤔
@@idk-hd7yc Aye
what if the foster pokemons ability gives you a boost in your catch rate and boosts your rate in finding shinny's? it's less competitive (in singles) and more catch utility, with its best stats being speed, def and s.def it learns wish, thunder wave, yawn, encore, false swipe, pretty much every single move that makes catching mons that much easier. then it shines as a clifairy 2.0 in doubles.
Legends Kyurem would be sick, but also
BLACK and WHITE 3
@@froggystyle9068 he doesn't like to watch the last episode of any show
Weezing; maybe they'll introduce the triplet form this gen ala Maushold and Dudunsparce.
Magnezone; perhaps it was meant to be a mega or something?
In terms of the master teaching it’s student, it would be really cool if they used that as a foreshadow for Urshifu and Kubfu. Similar how they used the “pink Pokémon with flowers on it” from Red and Blue for Muuna
I think Porygon-3 would make a lot of sense to be added in a DLC for this Gen and it be the only Pokémon to evolve into a paradox since it’s already a living paradox since it appeared in Hisui in time distortion zones and it’s dex entries hint that it was made based off the description of its self from those exact time distortion zones, so porygon already being a paradox as well as “glitchy” I feel like it would make sense to be the only Paradox Pokémon to evolve or have a pre evo.
Only problem is I don’t know what the Scarlet equivalent would be since it would mainly make sense for a Violet paradox.
@@GhostieToasterStrudel Rotom?
@@yourmother4385 I suppose since rotom were just wondering around in Hisui outside the time distortion zones they could make sense as the Scarlet equivalent.
if only the porygon line wasnt already a 3 stage
@@dududunsparceRaltz line splits; Porygon could too.
The magnezone evolution reminds me of the pkmn journey’s episode with Francois the magnemite and the MASSIVE large fusion form of all the magnemite coming together. I could see that being the next step of perfection for magnezone
I think the Small Oni Pokémon sounds fairly similar to Elekid.
THIS
Elekid was introduced in Gen 2 so it couldn't have been that. However, maybe it was cut for being too similar in concept.
@@kyleswanson6615 makes sense
I get Rotom vibes from it to be honest
@@ziggard1219 Yeah, the dex entry sounded like a prequel to Rotom's gimmick. Pretty sure they were planning to add it, and then add its forms in the next gen
Personally, I would have liked to see the sprinkler and spider lillie pokemon, especially the spider lillie one because I now have a cool picture of it in my head
The one that reminds people of kangaskhan sounds very much like it's based on an opossum!
I know it could never happen, but I hope that one day Porygon 2 will have a complex, hyperrealistic duck evolution 😂
Or a weird convergent. "This water pokemon just happened to evolve right angle edges. So weird"
But also I would love that
I always wanted a Pokémon that was the in-universe inspiration for Porygon, the living bird that Porygon was modeled after. It felt like such a missed opportunity for Legends Arceus to not do it considering it has the older version of Voltorb.
@@mamutepeq
Tbf, that sounds like a Legends: Mew thing to do
About the magnezone, in one episode of the Galar anime, the scientist's magnemite ( Francis?), and other magnemites in the vicinity are affected by some kinda signal or waves, and they all come together, forcibly making every magnemite they can find to form a leviathan sized new evolution of magnemite, but Ash stopped it from happening, so maybe this pokédex entry was likely true!
Maybe the attempt at making Magnizone evolve was a hint at mega evolutions in X & Y. A mega Magnizone would have been awesome!
I've been watching your content for over 7 years now and you always hit me with nostalgia and some interesting things about Pokemon. Also your remixes inspired me to make my own Pokemon covers and replay older games. Thank you Hoops, keep making amazing content!
You should totally have multiple artist design those cut Pokémon based upon their dex entries. I'd love to see what they would imagine it as and how different they would look. 🎉😄 I love your videos, please keep doing your best to find us cool stuff.
The xylophone-sound Pokemon sounds like it very well might be Kricketune
I don't think we will ever see the combined legendary beasts or swords of justice paradox pokemon, solely due to the fact that it clearly says it is an artists interpretation of what another paradox pokemon could look like
I guess like dunsparce they can do a weeweezing for the 3 head variant
These are interesting ditched 'Mon! Someone should make some concept art based off of the information we have on them!
The Torkoal pre-evolution sounds cool, would like to see it. Excellent vid once again dude.
I love your content keep up the amazing work
now that duble & triple Dudunsparce exists, it's possible for GameFreak to make a special super rare triple Weezing.
The "spirit" pokemon at 11:01 sounds similar to the Kodama from Princess Mononoke, with the rattling and making people happy when they are seen. With Kodama revealing themselves when the forest is healthy, I'm sure people were happy to see them as well!
The foster Pokémons' dex entry kinda reminds me of Drakloaks Shield Dex entry.🤔
I was looking for this comment
There's a chance that maybe it got reworked into that.
The first one sounds a lot like Urshifu and Kubfu.
The Everlasting Pokemon might have inspired Lilligant or even more likely Maractus, since so far Maractus has only be found in deserts if we count Normal Routes (The Wild Area is weird in terms of Pokemon distribution anyways). Comfey is another option here, since it so far has only appeared in Alola.
I feel like that Hawk Pokemon was the inspiration for Braviary.
The flower Pokemons seems like Gossifleur for me.
My guess with the Scarlet and Violet fusions is that they are just that, fusions. We will be introduced to future forms of the remaining swords of justice and past forms for the legendary beasts, and they will fuse with Iron Leaves & Walking Wake respectively to form those fusions that are in the book.
I hope so, because walking Wake is a abomination.
@@BunnyPlays651Walking Wake is a powerhouse
I'm calling it now. No way we see the fused legendary Beasts and Swords of Justice in the DLC. It would be really cool but it won't happen.
I think you're right, yeah. I'm 99% sure those pictures are supposed to be in-universe representations of a description, rather than actual pictures of the Pokemon themselves. I'm assuming it's supposed to be a "this is an artist's depiction" vs "this is what it actually is" sorta thing
I feel like the foster pokemon could've been kangaroo rat inspired. Being a rodent would line up with all the teeth brushing, they're fast with a long tail, and the "kangaroo" lends to the foster idea
It makes sense all of this entries. i think they wanted to expand even more the adaptation and weather ideas. But unfortunately we just had Castform
Someone here in comments mentioned the spirit type being what chimecos evo could have been. Personally, I think the DeX entry sounds eerily close to the skull kids from zeldaOoT and zeldaMM. They play a little flute, don't speak much if at all, and they aren't inherently dangerous to the people who get lost in the woods or forests surrounding them
especially since the skullkid in twilight princess literally plays a horn and makes rattling sounds
@@godgamer4786 completely forgot about that nightmare lookin ass version. In that case, I think the TP skullkid may very well be a better fit
There was a reference in Pokémon Journeys to, if not a Magnezone evolution, a Magnemite evolution with more than three fusing together (being this Magneton). Hundreds of Magnetmite trying to fuse together to evolve into something else never seen before.
Honestly the lottery pokemon makes me think of ghimmieghoul in scarlet and violet haha😂 I feel like it describes it and its evolution fairly well
The grass/psychic flower pokemon sortov reminds me of how Sunflora used to be Grass/Psychic type before release, maybe a scrapped Sunflora evolution?
My day was made with the cut hoenn pokemon, theyd fit perfectly. Reminds me of really good times, i lived in okinawa when gen 3 released, and hoenn felt like, at the time, home - and still does. Any love for that region is especially appreciated by myself lol
The Wailmer Pail Pokemon sounds like the Mossy Golem
In the manga, Ultra Necrozma isn't Necrozma's true form (but one stronger than its true form).
Bro roasted Pokémon in the first 5 second💀
The sketch versions of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves were deliberately stated to just be a product of Heath and his team's imagination. Not even they believed there was any chance those versions could be real. Their existence would totally confirm the _"Paradoxes are imagined Pokemon brought to life by the power of the Terastal phenomenon"_ theory.
I’m so glad I found this video, was telling my friend a couple years back that a Pokémon that’s lottery based and also has different evolutions based on the number of coins you have in your coin case would’ve been so unique!
The electric one could be a regional form of impdimp line.
The spirit pokemon sounds like it's from princess moninoke
More reason to reintroduce the Pokémon
The magnezone entry might be a weird way of saying that they couldn't artificially evolve a magneton into magnezone, since it only evolved (at the time) in specific locations (e.g. mt. coronet and chargestone cave).
Cool video but I’ve recently noticed that the background music in the past videos keeps repeating in a 3-4 second loop and MY GOD is it noticeable and distracting, why can’t you let the whole track play 😅😅😅
The Pokédex says Poiple is a starter. That implies there are other starters in the world it comes from that we know nothing about.
The grass/psychic type flower Pokémon is one of those Pokémon I wish became released. It can be a flower with an adorable eye and purple petals (pink for it’s shiny) and it would know the person’s true nature and personality by reading his/her mind and heart
Interestly enough, I feel like that Pokemon would've been on Phoebe's team given that she has a flower motif in her design and that spider lilies are symbolic of death.
The foster pokémon could be a opossum pokémon because opossums not only have sharp teeth but they carry their babies in their back
The red spider lily Pokémon would be extremely cool to see in the future.
Gen 10 leaked pokemon: Baroquint
The Spirit pokemon
Ghost/Fairy
"It is said that if you get lost in a deep forest, it will sound its horn to show you the way home, People who see its figure seem to be Pleased at it."
"A pokemon that can shake its head to make Xylophone like sounds, it communicates with friends with the Timbre of its Sounds."
Excellent idea man!
Reintroduce the spirit Pokémon as a generation 10 Pokémon is genius
The ‘fused’ forms for the concept art remind me of the Dialga & Palkia fusion statue in Diamond/Pearl/platinum
You should make a video with ideas about how those described gen 3 Pokémon would look
In the s/v book with the fusex swords of justice/beasts, its call an IMAGINED pokemon. I think the explorer drew it based on the forms that he saw and he imagined them together. So we prob wont see them together, but all seperatley. Hence, iron leaves and walking wake
Maybe the scientists couldn't evolve Magnezone because it's already a third stage.
1:39
I could have sworn that in my copy of Pokemon White I found Terrakion in that cave.
absolutely wild, man.
Can confirm that the magnezone entry is correct. I took a look at the japanese entry and it says the same thing 🙈
I think you can make great concepts using these entries to do another video of cut pokemon. I would like it for sure.
Very interesting!
11:35
Sounds like krikitune🧐
The canceled Piloswine's evolution cry sounds exactly like Macargo's cry.
Fair to think it has been reattributed
Arceopterix pokemon sounds like an evolution to arceopse
The xylophone portion sounds exactly like Kricketots entries- almost word for word.
That's unfortunate that Torkal got it's prevo cut
The spraying pokemon (described as a shrub) makes me think of Sudowoodo. I think you had to spray it to wake it up in 2nd gen. Leaves on hands also make sense
Everlasting Summer and Shrub mon just sounds like Shaymin - fits in with the flower shop idea too
The everlasting summer Pokémon would work perfectly in the teal mask dlc since kitakami is very tropical in essence and would fit with the rest of the newer native kitakami Pokémon as well as two old tropical friends, vikavolt and toucannon
Don't believe that I found you after heard your powerful pieces. My favorite is Mt. Pyre :D
7:18 always thought it would be interesting to have additional games added to a gen on the same hardware it debuts on that expand via a new region section and Pokémon that were cut + more pokemon to the vibe of the gen made possible by technology developed since their releases, such as GBC games with larger storage space to fit more areas and pokemon, etc.
Love your content dude, but I have to watch it at double speed 😅
After Maushold and Dudunsparce, Weezing should get its rare Triplets form
Hey Hoops! Why in next video you dont make a 4rd evolution for magnemite in 4rd evolution series? Also you could make new conditions likely a gimmick!
I would love to see them add the dudunsparce evolution mechanic to koffing
I personally feel that a Shuckle evo should have been Bug/Steel like the fakemon you created for Pokemon Cardinal called Tanduckle
The "small oni" sounds a lot like rotom lmao. Was definitely surprised when you said impidimp
The unused ability Cacophony might have been designated for the two sound-based pokemon mentioned here
The Beast and Sword fusions aren't going to be mons themselves. We might get Paradox Entei, Raikou, Cobalion and Terrakion released over SV's lifespan, however.
For the Hoenns: Foster sounds like it would be based on a vervet monkey, who have roles in "foster parent" conservation programs. Spirit sounds like it could be a Chimecho evolution or counterpart of some kind. Small Oni sounds like a Raijin reference (the god.) Some of the Grass-types sound like they could be evolutions/counterparts to each other.
So you’re telling me we had two chances at a bug/dragon in gen three and gamefreak said no both times?…
the "Small Oni" immediately makes me think it's a prototype Elekid, what with the Oni connection, the description of horns, and the connection to power outlets, which the final Elekid design also incorporated.
These cut Pokémon dex entries would be a great creative excersize.
The lottery pokemon literally sounds like it was meant to be a coin that evolved into a dollar bill...
The first one could EASILY be Urshifu or Kubfu!
A 3 headed weezing would be so cool to find!!! Imagine if there is one out there somewhere!!
The Hawk seems like the OG idea for the third member of the weather trio to me. Before Rayquaza came to be, that is.
What if the pictures in the book is what they will turn into when they get the new form of Tera coming out with the dlc and hence why we haven’t seen it yet 😮
Everlasting Summer sounds like a 3rd Sunkern Evolution. Petals on head and the emphasis on Summer, it makes me think of an upgraded Sunflora
The “Foster” Pokemon sounds like it could’ve been based on a possum
Definitely true
I made a Poison/Fire Wheezing variant based on volcanoes. I made a 3rd stage evolution with 3 heads I called Chauking (chaud is French for hot, and "choking")
Would be cool if they could retroactively add in the triplet Wheezing. It can be like the three segment Dundunsparce
Also the sound/xylophone Pokémon sounds like it could be a 3rd stage of Chimeco.
The red tiger lily bug psychic type sounds so dope
Yeah, I hope that gamefreak decides to introduce it as a new Pokémon in the teal mask dlc to make it justice
Wouldn't the "xylophone sounding" pokemon basically be the Kricketot line? Because most of the pokedex entries for Kricketot mention it swinging it's antennae/antennas to make a xylophone sound.
The connector ball became the third head
The red spider lily Pokémon is the best one of all
And I hope, like really hope that gamefreak reintroduced it in the dlc. I could imagine it would fit perfectly with the teal mask part of the dlc of Pokémon scarlet and violet
Im not sure if you made a video of this before but, i would like to see a video about all the beta pokemon that you think got reworked into an existing Pokemon.
The Foster Pokémon sounds really cool.
It seems almost like it would have been a gimmick Pokémon similar to Cramorant. Where it would typically be encountered with its usual child, like a Kangaskhan... but occasionally, you could find it with another Pokémon on its back. Probably would have been a Pikachu, but it would have been extra cool if there was a variety of other small Pokémon that could be found with it.
I feel like that Lottery Pokemon could have a few evolutions kind of like Eevee since it's said to evolve but scientists can't figure it out. Either that or maybe it would have needed to meet really specific requirements kind of like Hitmontop
