Really benificial behavior changes. Then another reason is the Chagoi growth rate, which is expectedly fast from tosai to sansai. For new koi keepers its really fulfilling to see our kois grow bigger and the Chagoi will not disappoint in this aspect.

Heya Tempra, it's 5 feet deep, 18 feet long and 8 feet wide. It's been a while I've been asked this I actually am not sure anymore on the dimension. But it is a 19,000 liters pond that I am certain.

Hello Chucho, the amount of koi food you feed daily should not change. Let's say you give 20 grams per feeding. And you feed two times a day. In total that's 40 grams daily. In this sample I'd advice you to split the feedings into 10 grams per feeding session and feed it 4 times daily. So you still give 40 grams a day but you spread the time you give the food to them. From just 2 times a day now you feed 4 times a day with the same amount of koi food. I hope you got it bro.
Hey bro, I actually did it by experience and estimating my daily feedings since they were small. Then adjusted/added the amounts as they were growing. ua-cam.com/video/_1Wdp7161Qg/v-deo.html That's them last July 2019 My first koi food measuring device I had was the chicken joy gravy container from Jollibee. Then they got bigger and I used the mash potato container from KFC. And then now I use the blue ice cream cup you see in my video. In each feedings the containers where the measurement I took into account. Plus also the time they take to finish the food. I believe in the 5 minute rule. So all koi food must be gone in under 5 minutes. Then there's also the filter side of the feeding issue. "Feed as much as you're filters can handle." --- have you heard this idea? I also follow this during the koi tosai days. At the least I feed them 6 times a day sometimes upto 9 times. But always measured and taking into account the filter side effects and weather. I hope you got the idea.

No calculations involved my friend. As they grew on me I simply increased the amount of food I feed them per day. When they were small I started at just 75 grams. Right now they are feeding at 450 grams per day and soon I'll have to increase it to 500 grams per day. How I do it I guess I just really observe them, a lot. Then make a guess by visual observation from the koi movement and how fast they finish one meal. If they finish fast then it's getting closer to increasing the amount once again.
