Hello Paul, yes I have 2 units of 15 watts UV lamps operating in the pond. So a total of 30 watts combined. And yes the Charlie's Angels are indeed angel fishes. I have 6 of them in there and are doing very since the pond started.
Heya JOGO! I collected the muck using a giant siphon, and it went straight to the storm drains. You can see it in the video. The siphoning process takes quite a while so gotta be patient.

Hello Kian, I'm actually just using a manual siphon for fuel. This is just a very big version of it. These are used to siphon fuel out of steel barrels.
That's actually quite a big area you got there. Depending on how diligent you are in keeping the water clean 5 to 8 koi is ok. But this is assuming your goal is to grow big koi and focused on maximizing the size potential of your koi. Because some koi keepers also want that feeding frenzy scene in their ponds during feeding sessions. If you are one of those then you can have up 15 to 25 koi. In this set-up its crowded so koi maximizing growth potential is not favorable. But its fun to see them feed in frenzy.
In my case I have a roof above the pond so rain water does not go to my pond. But in case rain water goes to your pond, its best not to feed your kois and monitor their behavior. then in the next 2 day do a 20% partial water change if possible. Then as soon as the kois act normally you can feed them again as you normally do.

Hello Shirin, I feed them Aquamaster Hi-Growth. Everyday, right now they are fed 550 grams of food. Then I split that 550 grams into 7 or 8 feedings in a day. I do mechanical filter cleaning every weekends and I do partial water changes of 5% to 10% daily. Hope that helps you 👍

Yung swimming movement ng mga fish actually ang in charge dun. Sa pag galaw ng mga fish nadadamay yung poop at nahihila patungo sa bottom drains. Malakas ang pull ng bottom drains eh. Since sa set-up ng pond na ito naka bottom drain sa gitna wala namang naiipon na fish poop sa mga corners. Sayo ba nag pa-parking sa corners ang fish poop?
Hello Karl, sa mga hardware talaga ito mabibili. May branded and meron ring mga low quality na tig P200+ lang. Sa mga petshop wala talaga ito. Gamit pala ito pang higop sa steel drum na may either diesel or gasoline.

Rarely will you do a 100% water change. Unless you're water source is drom deep well. If you're confident that your tap water has low chlorine content, a 20% partial water change is enough. But if chlorine content from your tap water is high and you can smell the chlorine already then 10% partial water change is maximum. This is my water here in my location. Chlorine so high you can smell it.

Yung swimming movement ng mga fish actually ang in charge dun. Sa pag galaw ng mga fish nadadamay yung poop at nahihila patungo sa bottom drains. Malakas ang pull ng bottom drains eh. Since sa set-up ng pond na ito naka bottom drain sa gitna wala namang naiipon na fish poop sa mga corners. Sayo ba nag pa-parking sa corners ang fish poop?

Sa mga petshop wala talaga ito. Gamit pala ito pang higop sa steel drum na may either diesel or gasoline.

Rarely will you do a 100% water change. Unless you're water source is drom deep well.
If you're confident that your tap water has low chlorine content, a 20% partial water change is enough.
But if chlorine content from your tap water is high and you can smell the chlorine already then 10% partial water change is maximum. This is my water here in my location. Chlorine so high you can smell it.
