Great Video Sam, really enjoyed that. Was also great to be able to visit last weekend albeit a bit late in the day and meet you and some of the team plus of course being there to buy some of Marks rejects 😂 I’m hopeful one or two of them end up really nice and literally slipped through his net and into my possession 🤞🏼 Look forward to the next video and watching these 15 Tosai grow over winter 👌🏻
Thanks Jeff! 😊 And thank you for coming to visit us, I hope your new lovely additions are settling in nicely in their new home. Look forward to hearing how they get on 🙏
Great cinematography. very informative video. Watched it all. I have no business in raising Koi fish, only thing closest i can do is raise mosquitoes in a bucket full of stagnant rainwater.
Great work! Definitely another string to your bow. And what beautiful fish. Received 10 koi the other week, happy with every fish. Looking forward to your next videos
Congratulations! One of the best koi videos in Europe we have seen on UA-cam so far! We also have a small koi Farm in Germany so we know how much hard work it needs to produce such koi and such a video. Thanks for this great content!
Wow! What a video! I can imagie a hell of a lot of work went into making this so hats off! My favourite fish has to be number 1 but ill be interested to see how they all develop in the next video!
Top choice@@paularmstrong-smith4096! I'm with you on that 😁 Fingers crossed it continues to develop nicely. Great to hear you enjoyed the video - thanks for taking the time to let us know 🙌
Another great video, I really enjoyed it. I've learned a lot from Mark over the years and watched Cuttlebrook develop from nothing. As far as choosing the best Showa, I have to agree with Sam and choose number 2. Personally, a Showa must have motoguro on both pectoral fins, I know a speck of sumi in the ball joint can develop but Showa 2 has it already. I like the strong body and the beni and sumi placement too. Returning to the motoguro, is it going to get too black or will it shrink back a bit? That's what breeding Koi and watching their development is all about! Look forward to seeing the next video. I've enjoyed talks by Mark over the years, but must tell Sam, he is a good presenter, the filming looks good too.
Thanks David! So great to hear you enjoyed it. It'll be really interesting to see how they all develop. Watch this space and hopefully we'll be back soon with an update on the Showa 😊
Very Interesting video. Great production and editing ideas. I think a visit to Cuttlebrook Farm will be on my list of places to visit next year to see how those fish have got on..😉👍👍
Thank you @@KoiPondLifestyle! Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for your kind comments 😊🙏 Sounds like a plan, hopefully we'll see you next year for a look around 😁
Are there any plans to introduce indigenous carp blood from there, as we have talked about it there before? In Japan, IPPINYA, YOHEI and others are attempting to breed back to older species that can grow in cold water.
10:57 I’m curious to know if leaving them in the pond over winter would over time allow you to breed a more cold tolerant fish. I’m attempting to do this with a similar species at the moment, although on a much much smaller scale haha I lost some over this winter but some survived so I’m hoping with a few generations and a few winters they will be more cold tolerant
@@vhwft Koi are tolerant to the cold weather, and would have no issue being outside over winter. However, optimum growing temperature is 23-26c, so they won't grow in size or value outside when it's cold 😊
