- Soaring over Brisbane 😏✈️
#ICYMI one of our #AusAirForce EA-18G Growler's from No. 6 Squadron, RAAF Base Amberley, flew over Brisbane CBD for Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust.
#YourADF was proud to support the Brisbane Festival’s Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust on the 2nd of September 2023 showcasing Navy, Army and Air Force capabilities and personnel with flying and static ground displays.

This is the best in cabin flight footage I’ve ever seen! Really shows the extreme stress the airframe and pilots experience.
Well said I agree
Check out their in cockpit footage from The Pacific Airshow Goldcoast, you see how much turbulence shakes the cabin.
Look at 3:54 and 7:23 - you see just how close they're getting to structures. Their concentration is immense.
Lol. During what? His 4G turn? 🙄
I feel blessed to see this, watched these flyovers a few years now.
Amazing! I am an Airbus driver, I live in Brisbane and I have the privilege to appreciate the job of this great guy. Honestly, I envy him.
Were you once a fast jet military pilot or do you just envy him. I for one do not understand how anyone that use to fly something like an F18 could, on leaving the military ever settle in to the somewhat tedious job of an airline pilot. I guess they need to feed their kids like everyone else.
@@mitseraffej5812You need to earn a living eventually.
@@mitseraffej5812money, a slightly more predictable lifestyle
Driver 😅
@@mitseraffej5812pilots want to fly. Its the best way to fly predictably. Not sure what you thinkt hey would do after leaving
Can you just imagine the G,s he’s pulling following the bend in the river at Southbank and the Botanic Gardens and the Story Bridge?? Absolutely amazing, hats off to all our military personnel🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is the best cabin flight video I’ve ever seen. Clearly see the pilot’s face. They are surely a different breed and a huge respect for them.
You blokes keep flying over my place making a hell of a noise.....Thank you.
(Although in my heart nothing will replace the F-111 C at Riverfire)
F111 is truly a beast.
The look of relaxation in his eyes as he rolls out after the climb out is notable! That looked a lot more stressful than most people probably imagine. Being able to pick out your exact route at those speeds amongst all the ground clutter is impressive. There were a couple of very awkwardly located cranes on his run in. One wrong move and he's in all sorts of trouble.
I think, and I could be wrong ... that's the relaxing part 🥳
Yeah the crane thing, nerves of steel. Why do they always fly the good stuff around the Brisbane River, they have globe masters doing sik dowiezz there 😂
Great footage. Well done to everyone at RAAF Amberley that makes this happen. We love it!
Incredible. Massive respect to our defence force for putting on an incredible performance
Love river fire. I live in Argentina, and to see it fly over the gabba, kangaroo point cliffs, kirulpa, Milton and so on gives me goose bumps.
You must have good eyesight!
@@JonCianci12 i used my eyesight to watch the video. At least you didn’t write ‘lol’.
The practice looked awesome and the pull out and burn when viewed from the airport (we were flying out to Perth as the run ended) looked like an X-wing going stellar. 10 out 10
7:25 unreal! Well done man! You’ve studied, worked and trained super hard and really got the best out of yourself and that is inspiring to all of us! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your support of this event. It makes the day completely special.
Everyone should love hearing them in the sky... Thank you guys
Unless you grew up in Kabul

Awesome. I spent my days in the ADF on the ground in the Infantry but I always salute RAAF and our boys in the sky. Air Movements always hauled my raggedy arse around safely. I'll never forget the night when I was with Joint Task Force 112 at the closing of the Sydney Olympics when an F-111 did a vertical climb on afterburner. Off duty at the time but we seen it from Holsworthy barracks and it turned night into day...
Fantastic quality video in every sense. Credit to the RAAF for publishing it.
The climb that starts a 7:21, is 🔥🔥
Fantastic flying, zero room for hesitation or mistake.
The 18G sounds like a boss.
Collective souls "december" makes a great soundtrack too this video
Love watching these guys out at Amberley!
the sound of freedom. amazing stuff. we live on Tambo Mt and you guys buzz our house 2-3 times a week, my kids and I love seeing you come over on the way back to Amberley .
Ahh, the days when one balance publicity against not flying in to the side of a building.... :) Well done to the pilot.
Still miss the sights and sounds of the F-111's.
Bring back the Pig!
@@highace10 The mighty pig!!! The fuel drop and burn they used to do at the Air Shows was always a winner!
You pilots go through so much intensive training. This video shows it must totally be worth it. God's speed! 😍
was between the 2 bridges at the ferry terminal, view was amazing, 3rd pass was undeniably the best.
I live at flinders view and am lucky to hear / see the guys and girls fly nearly on the daily. Absolutely love it! Good to see what it looks like from inside instead of always watching from the ground!
Another fantastic display of the performance of thecGrowler and the wonderful skills of our pilots.
Thanks guys the best of the best
This footage is extraordinary!
Huge respect for the fitness and skill of the pilot, and appreciation of our armed forces.
An airshow that *cannot* go wrong - it's crazy every time, but we love it. And it's great to see the pilot's side of things as well, thanks for sharing!
The concentration on his face and alertness just goes to show how good these guys are, amazing work guys thanks, super impressed on the day some of those turns were so tight.
It takes a really rare kind of person to be able to do this. Thank you for your service.
These guys are amazing. Love it when we see then flying past on the central coast NSW.
Just awesome. The sound of freedom. Guys, thank you for your service from a 36yr AF vet.
Thank You for your SERVICE
Humble Apologies... THANK YOU 🙏 TO ALL that SERVED, every time WE go to war, it's always something different.. But that was our longest.. Vets & families need better support..
Brilliant video capturing the stress on the pilot. I love watching the test runs from my house in bulimia.. I never realised that bit of mist coming off the aircraft wings as they change angles and altitudes was so hard on the pilot. Well done love every part of riverfire.. and also thankyou to all service men any woman.
It was so good being on the ground, Awesome to see what it looked like from up there (I'd love to see a forward pointing camera like a go pro too)
By sheer luck I happened to be driving over the Story Bridge for the last pass.
Won’t forget seeing this thing heading towards me before pitching into that climb on full ABs!
Outstanding...thank you
every year I am so intrigued by what kind of paperwork and health and safety goes into things like this (don't get me wrong I love the flybys, and i still remember that Hercules a few years back flying past BELOW our office level hahaha) but with what construction site safety regs are like these days, I can't even imagine what goes into flying a plane through a packed city below crane and building level!
Thanks for sharing
Awesome, just awesome! 💯
Yeah that is the best footage I've seen as well 😍 thanks for uploading that
Awesome, brilliant video💪🏼🤘❤❤❤❤❤
That bloody seatbelt!!!
Really enjoyed watching this as we were on the MiCat (Moreton Bay Ferry ) directly positioned under the Storey Bridge when he goes vertical. At the time I thought “wow” now seeing it from the drivers seat !1 - double “wow”……. Great afternoon out. Would love to have the back seat for a run…..
Incredible! 🇦🇺
So strange to know i was staring up at you, and that i would later be staring back down at me. Awesome footage, thanks guys
Awesome to watch!!!!!
If I’m working in the city, I always forget about the practice run for Riverfire one or two days before. It never fails to scare the s**t out of me. I love it. Puts a big smile on my face every year. This officer has my dream job. Well done sir.
This is fantastic! Please post more of these!!! One suggestion though is to maybe use a 360 degree camera so we can pan around the video while it's playing. Thank you for sharing and for the work you all do to make this possible!
There is a 360° Super Hornet video posted from the Pacific Air Show. It's fantastic 🤩
Check out the 360° 4K footage from Riverfire rehearsals from 2022 - XbK_L8OgTjs

God bless you Sir, Stay safe up there!! 🙏
That was an amazing view to watch especially at 7:21 and absolutely shows the training and dedication they go through flying these machines.
I hope we can see more of these views in Regional Qld ❤
Bloody amazing

Brilliant video, respect to the pilot!Amazing footage of someone in the zone!👍🏴😁
Awesome video. Thank you for your support RAAF! It would have great to hear the radio banter..
Awesome!
Wow, amazing footage. If you ever get bored of this then there’s no hope for you
Bloody awesome.
I was in Suncorp Stadium when this flew over at 6:16 such a cool thing to see! Wish you guys did more of this.
That was kick arse footage !. Well done
I LOVE the Air Force. And one day in my future career I would love to serve and be a pilot.
Just how utterly fantastic is this??!
Now that was a brilliant video👍
I could watch this on repeat for hours... actually, don't mind if I do
Thank you for your service and keeping us folk safe 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
oh how amazing is this
Earth's curvature at the end was awesome.
Well done young fella - awesome performance. God bless
absolutely immense!
Soooo Good...the vertical climb was cool.
Interesting seeing my old stomping grounds from this perspective. Also of interest to see the pilot adjusting himself in the seat the same way Pail from the Growler Jams channel does.
That’s awesome!
AMAZZZING....BEAUTIFUL........
Just the best!! Thanks RAAF
Man and machine as one great footage
Congratulations for the pilots. Good luck
Amazing
This is a great video
One of the best
Great RAAF PILOTS bring out the best in their aircraft
When I saw the initial airflow create vapour from a pressure differential over the inboard wing, I shed a tear, so cool
What an experince ........... for us, the pilot and his passenger!
Incredible footage
Wow amazing 🤩 😊
Man I really wish I pushed through with my application when I was younger. This was my dream job. Awesome footage.
I been in one of those buildings in Brisbane on the 23rd floor during Riverfire and it is a site to behold when you are looking down on the Jets as pass by.
Great footage. 👍
Holding down the fort thanks guys...
Awesome.
Awesome, thank you from a Brisbanite!
Wow. Cool view and ride.
Great job 👍🇦🇺
It's cool to see it from the inside after seeing the practice and displays for Riverfire 😁
So awesome to be right there with the pilot.
