- People rarely talk about the most essential thing we put in our body every day - and just how much of it we should really consume. That’s why Dr. Gundry’s here to discuss all things WATER. He dives deep into the topic of hydration and why you should NOT drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day. Plus the shocking facts behind drinking too much water include low electrolytes and lowered heart efficiency.

I am a pharmacist, disabled at 45 from a failed back surgery with suicidal nerve pain. After a trial test of the implant to block pain signals by 80% , I was very excited to have that surgery. Tragically for me, the surgeon bruised my spinal cord causing incomplete paraplegia. I was just wondering how someone like me who really needs help and is suffering is also the one who can’t afford it? It’s just sad.
My brother is the same from his 30s through back operation never been same has to use crutch and back brace

My compassion to you Sir! Do you know Dr Joe Dispenza, might you do his protocol? If m´not alone, might we maybe healing comrades doing it? constructively, without burdening each other, with structured, efficient cointact where we briefly say how we are doing, exschange what we have managed to do and leave out since last week, and what we want/intend to do? Maybe share ideas from his and other self-healing wórks? I have other "incurable"things and iatrogenically harmed in other ways. -So interested to hear your reply!
For some reason, my nootification bell has not functioned for some time, but I'll look in here and see.
2022, 4 common mistakes while drinking water……. 1970 a kid is thirsty, water hose, horse trough, water fountain, tank, lake etc.. still standing today no fallible imprint or ill effects.
Never ever drink from one of those collapsible hoses. And there's no telling what can be inside a regular hose or what's crawled up in there
and another thing, lakes and horse troughs and the like are standing water sources and can have anything in them including dead mice and birds. And algae that can produce toxins, botulism is a main concern, and parasites. mosquitoes and mayflies, all kinds of bugs and viruses etc that they bring. Animal excrement etc etc... on and on
I REMEMBER THOSE DAYS!
Never thought I would be saying
"Those were the good old days."

if your scared to lower your electrolites try making a sole solution with celtic sea salt ( fill a jar with 1/3 of celtic sea salt and top it of with water. shake until no more salt dissolves. that means the water is saturated. then put the jar in the fridge or a dark place don't touch it for 24 hours. then you can add a tablespoon of the solution in your water 1 or 2 times a day.) this will top up your electrolites.
I add Himalayan pink salt with 84 trace minerals and cream of Tartar in my glass of water to replace minerals and electrolytes. It works wonders! Great video Dr. Gundry!!
Yea it's godly to melaninated people too. That pink fire salt
This is inorganic sodium toxic to your bodie, only organic things are good for the bodie.
How much of each do you add?
Check out latest research appears Himalayan pink salt has loads of heavy metals and some radiation also. I was cranky cause I love that stuff like it’s chocolate !
Yeah love it, taste good 👍
Did not know the pH of carbonated water was an issue, glad I tuned in!
Thanks for your insightful work! Appreciated!
Very good information.I will correct myself.
I'm in Vancouver drinking lake water from the mountaintop protected by the govt and used to supply to the cities without filtering. Still, several years ago they built a huge filtration center down the mountains. still, I have used Brita jug with filter for 3 decades.
Surgical Stainless Steel water bottles are excellent.
Saladmaster cookware is made out of surgical stainless steel.
Fluoride filter for the shower head now exists, it didn’t exist before. A 45 minute shower is equivalent to drinking the recommended amount of water per day, essentially it is best to have filtered water.
Thank you for this awesome video about water.
Thanks for mentioning Saladmaster. Saladmaster cookware is made in Dallas, Texas. Gotta keep the food on the table for our hard working US brothers and sisters, not into the red dragon's nest. It does look expensive though, made out of titanium and stainless steel. About how much is it?
Who the heck showers for 45 minutes?
Recap, nowater in plastic bottles,no tap water,no carbonated water unless Ph is7, less water take it from green leafy vegetables, sulfur is good for our health in water and crucererous vegetables.
Thanks !
Number 3; I most definitely agree! Thanks! Started drinking spring water out of glass containers and feeling much better!
There was a story a few months back where a lady let her dog play in the kiddie pool for a long time. The kind of dog that loves water like a collie, Australian Shepard type. He came inside and promptly died for too much water. Its said a cow will drink itself to death.
Great advise, I have recently been drinking extra water and it does not make me feel better than drinking at my body's signal to drink water.
The water from Desert Hot Springs, CA has won the International Water competition held annually at White Sulfur Springs, WV.
Thank you Dr. Gundry for such important information that we did not know. 👏🏼☺️🙏🏼
Dr Gundry thanks for mentoring us. Just wondering your thoughts on alkaline water particularly related to Kangan water filters.
Umm, I've been drinking water, about two quarts per day, to three now, for the last 30 years. I'm almost 60 and I'm fine. Not overweight, no blood pressure issues or fainting issues. I only drink water, teas, and sometimes coffees. But no other beverages.
My mom in Germany alerted me last year that San Pellegrino water has been found to actually be quite contaminated with radiation. If you want to trust the purity of water, German waters are highly regulated.
As far as acidity is concerned, I used test strips to test the waters I drink. The only two that were in balanced range was Gerolsteiner and Mountain Valley Spring Water from the US, the still version. The sparkling version is acidic. That's because of the added carbonation.
😮
I add carbonation with a machine. Is it bad?
@@anatino yes
How often do you test the water and can we buy the strips online?
@@sl4983 You can find pH strips online or at a pharmacy. 🙂
Great info as usual! Thank you
Thank you.
We had hydration packets in the Army to prevent hyponitremia. It had sodium, calcium, magnesium and all the other electrolytes you need to function. I also carried sodium tablets.
can those hydration packets be bought online? how are the called ?
1.,Barring diseases and athletes, hyponatremia is rare, let alone being fatal. 2. Kidneys use liquids to rid the body of waste products, and drinking more (within reason) helps this process 3. He’s right about carbonated water.
1, You're wrong. It was rare. Nowadays, it's so common because many people think drinking water is good for their body. Drinking water when not needed is bad for the body. You get a lot of water from your food. You don't need H20 unless you climb a mountain or something similar. Get water from curd. 2, You're wrong. Water can actually hard kidneys. Google it now. 3, You're right.
Tks Dr Gundry .
Thank you Dr gundry
Regarding plastic bottles and phalates, if the manufacturing/recycle code on the bottle is 3 then that plastic is dangerous.
Thanks for letting me know that didn't know that thanks for sharing 👍🦋🌺

My mother was told by a doctor to drink more water. Like everything she did she took it to the extreme. She was taken to hospital. Low sodium and electrolytes.

Hello Dr. Gundry, on your video you said Stop drinking water in plastic bottles. I assume that includes the 5gal bottles? I and my family have been drinking from these 5gal bottles for years, obviously from a water store. I'm Now concerned whether the water itself that were drinking is processed and filtered right. Are we missing out on possible ingredients that we should be getting, drinking this store bought filtered water! Ps. I just filled 15 5 gal bottles, so pour it on my plants, or in the pool? Could you touch more on the water store water!? Thanks so much. I am in the process of ordering some of your products.
I drink San Pellegrino all of the times, including the small plastic bottles of San Pellegrino when I'm on the go. I also have 5 gallon plastic bottles of distilled and reverse osmosis Kentwood water delivered to my home. Do these large, sturdy plastic water bottles also leach phalates (sp) ? Thank you.
ERRORS! The pH information about San Pellegrino water is incorrect. By their own 2021 Water Analysis Report, the pH is 5.7 - putting it in the "moderately acidic" category. The report also reported a high level of Sulfate, not Sulfur specifically. All other sulfur compounds were listed as "Not Detected." You can see the link to the report on their web page if you scroll to the bottom of the home page.
Hi john,
Now I've been out and brought
Lots of bottles of sa pellegrino ,
So could you tell me if it isn't
as good as dr gundry is saying,
and i thought the pH of 5.7
Was Alkaline, any advice would be appreciated.
@@lindapestridge3073 I am not a doctor or chemist, just noting some errors I was able to discover. I don't know the difference between Sulfur and Sulfate in terms of how they are absorbed or react with the human body. As for pH, 7 is neutral. Lower than 7 is acidic and higher than 7 is alkaline. The only other thing I can tell you is that the pH of San Pellegrino seems to be in line with other sparkling mineral waters. For example: Perrier = 5.5
@@JohnDemetre that's so nice
Of you to reply,
I've been reading a lot about
Sulfur in water and its good
If water has it in it,
but like you say san pellegrino
Has sulphate not sulfur in it.
Thank you for pointing this out .
Just saw the same info on San Pellegrino pH. So weird Dr. Gundry states that it's 7..."by Italian law." Where does he come up this stuff?
Dr. Gundry is definitely misinformed. He just loooooves all things Italian and thinks they hung the moon!
Pellegrino water is quite contaminated. My mom in Germany alerted me to it when she learned I drink this water here in the US. You really have to do your own research. The best American (non imported) water I have found is Mountain Valley Spring water. The still one, not the sparkling. The sparkling is acidic due to the added carbonation. You can test this yourself with a test strip!
Edmunds salt has a great electrolyte mix-relyte, and good salts. LMNT is a good one too.

Stainless steel bottles, most are made in China, and I remember a program on NPR that found lead in their manufacturing process. So much for "stainless steel"
Very important.
As much as possible, stay away from that country's products. Buy and support your own country's products.
Glass bottles are better and you can see when it's dirty inside. Buy a good brush. Then you are safe.
@@bettinafrei-kiss5114 Chinese glass has got lead in it. Would not consume out of bottles made in China. Glass has to me made with a lead free process.
Most bottled waters use phthalate free plastic. Are they still bad?
Awesome Dr gundry. Thanks abunch. Best wishes.
Could you comment on nuun electrolyte tabs? I sweat a lot during long exercise sessions and use nuun. I just ordered LMNT from Amazon to see if I feel different. I'm sensitive to sodium. It causes me to hold on to fluids, hands, feet and face. So I'm nervous about 1000mg of sodium. I do use pink Himalayan salt in my cooking
Moved to the US as a kid so I have to distinct relationships with water. As a kid I knew exactly where my water came from, the sky. We collected rain water, used it for everything. Living in the US I have no idea where my water comes from or what's in it. Same for food, almost everything was grown at the house. Benefits of a farmer grandparent. Some other countries people are dying for water or making geopolitical moves for it. In America it might kill you if you're not careful.
Dr.G on the plant paradox (great book) you say to drink tap water, a bit confusing. What should I do?

- 1/2 cup salt. Make sure it is only salt in the ingredients, such as Grey Celtic Sea Salt or Redmond real salt
- 1 & 3/4 teaspoon of potassium chloride, such as Nu-salt
- 1/2 teaspoon magnesium glycinate

In San Pellegrino was found graphen oxide. Which is toxid. Please check it and tell us. Thank you.
Why is it toxic?
@@adamabele785 G r a ph e n e oxide is causing the strange fiber clots in our va xx ed bodies, in the veins and the arteries. It hardens fat. And it gives water no way to pass through our bodies, into our cells. We die.
Hi Doc. I've heard many years ago that plastic bottles are bad for you. Thank you for clarifying that. However, the filters and pipes used in the reverse osmosis filtration units, are all made from plastic. Further to that, the reservoir tank also contains a rubber bladder in which the water is stored temporarily until used.
Then there are the huge plastic reservoir tanks many households in my region are making use of due to intermitted water outages.
So, if we take into consideration all these plastic components, are plastic drinking bottles really the only contributor to adverse health effects?

Hello Steven, I stopped drinking San Pellegrini for one reason: A test using a neodymium magnet showed it contained added graphene oxide.

Does that include the s. Peligreno in plastic bottles?
