  • People rarely talk about the most essential thing we put in our body every day - and just how much of it we should really consume. That’s why Dr. Gundry’s here to discuss all things WATER. He dives deep into the topic of hydration and why you should NOT drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day. Plus the shocking facts behind drinking too much water include low electrolytes and lowered heart efficiency.

I am a pharmacist, disabled at 45 from a failed back surgery with suicidal nerve pain. After a trial test of the implant to block pain signals by 80% , I was very excited to have that surgery. Tragically for me, the surgeon bruised my spinal cord causing incomplete paraplegia. I was just wondering how someone like me who really needs help and is suffering is also the one who can’t afford it? It’s just sad.

if your scared to lower your electrolites try making a sole solution with celtic sea salt ( fill a jar with 1/3 of celtic sea salt and top it of with water. shake until no more salt dissolves. that means the water is saturated. then put the jar in the fridge or a dark place don't touch it for 24 hours. then you can add a tablespoon of the solution in your water 1 or 2 times a day.) this will top up your electrolites.

My mom in Germany alerted me last year that San Pellegrino water has been found to actually be quite contaminated with radiation. If you want to trust the purity of water, German waters are highly regulated.
As far as acidity is concerned, I used test strips to test the waters I drink. The only two that were in balanced range was Gerolsteiner and Mountain Valley Spring Water from the US, the still version. The sparkling version is acidic. That's because of the added carbonation.

The report also reported a high level of Sulfate, not Sulfur specifically. All other sulfur compounds were listed as "Not Detected." You can see the link to the report on their web page if you scroll to the bottom of the home page.

Hi Doc. I've heard many years ago that plastic bottles are bad for you. Thank you for clarifying that. However, the filters and pipes used in the reverse osmosis filtration units, are all made from plastic. Further to that, the reservoir tank also contains a rubber bladder in which the water is stored temporarily until used.
Then there are the huge plastic reservoir tanks many households in my region are making use of due to intermitted water outages.
So, if we take into consideration all these plastic components, are plastic drinking bottles really the only contributor to adverse health effects?
