Didn't really say what you eat in one meal a day on average. I eat 1 or 2 meals a day and can say exactly what I eat most the time very easily. Eggs, kefir, kimchi, avocado, walnut, pistachio, Brazil nut, flax chia seeds, steak, ground beef grass fed, salmon, shrimp, muscles, scallops and a massive salad everyday!

I am so glad I am watching this video. I used to do OMAD many many years ago before it was vogue. I was always skinny and that was a way of staying that way. Today I tried to do OMAD and everyone told me it was dangerous as I have a slow thyroid. I enjoy OMAD I prefer to eat my one meal at 4:00 PM... I think I will try to do it again. I never really found it hard. I can't wait for your books to come, thanks for another informative video...

Blessings to you Dr. Gundry. So pleased with your products and your approach to better health. I am excited that more and more physicians are moving to a balanced approach and less to the dictates of pharmacology. Your comment about Africa and where we all came from are disturbing. Once again, our creator not being acknowledged. I am believing for you to have a Rhema experience. You have a marvelous call on your life. Having written this, God has absolutely raised you up for such a time as this. I am so fortune to be benefiting from your journey!

I've been eating 1 meal a day now for almost two months. I cheated a couple times but have lost 20 lbs. I felt I had insulin resistance and couldn't lose no matter how little calories. I kept on the straight and narrow and ate whatever I wanted and finally started losing. I'm so excited that I'm losing and getting healthy. It's a win win . Love you Doc Gundry 😇

So many of you indicated he didn’t give you information but clearly you weren’t listening because he did tell you! First of all if you all were listening he said according to research, it’s not so much about what you eat but how you eat and for how long during the day. Secondly, he specifically said greens, pressure cooked beans, nuts. More importantly - read the books! They are worth reading. If you are too impatient to do these things then you will remain a straggler in the pursuit of better eating and heath!

@@oliviabaklaton4552 When you say "strict keto = no carbs," do you mean carnivore? Strict keto is 50 gm or less, not zero carbs. Even "ketovore" is 20gm or less. And a diet that is 70% or more animal foods is also called "hyper carnivore."
But I was going to recommend a carnivore-type diet anyway bcz I have read many comments on carnivore blog sites claiming it cured their psoriasis, and esp if they went on Dr. Berry's "BBB&E" diet protocol (beef, bacon, butter & eggs).
OTOH, no dairy or nuts also seemed to be a common factor. But at a minimum, in addition, I would at least eliminate all the foods high in lectins, oxylates or histamines. That will eliminate most of your plant foods anyway!

He said at the end, pressure cooked beans, lots of greens and a rainbow of coloured foods i.e. greens, nuts.
Im not sure if i understood correctly but will listen again, if he meant food from the season, or if he meant that he changed his way of eating during winter, spring etc.
You know my brother in law fasted during Ramadhan, fasting month for muslims, he said he did not feel weak, fatigued or hungry when he had a keto diet at the same time as fasting.
Lots of healthy fats + proteins keeps that craving for carbs or sugar away.
He also lost about 30 kg within a cpl of months, he has had weight problems all life, and he said the Keto diet has only worked for him and fasting half days/full days O.M.A.D once in a while to regulate weight , but his back pain is also better because of the weight gone now :)

I have been on a keto diet for maybe a year. My weight has platued, so I think this will help. At 68 years old, starting to get some arthritis in the fingers, again hopefully this new diet will help. I intend to do the 3 day cleanse, then straight on to level 2. I'll keep you updated, from new zealand. As it's winter down here. Maybe doing omd is an option. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

    1. Are the MCT’s altered or destroyed during the pasteurization process?
    2. Are the MCT’s altered or destroyed when goats milk is used to make yogurt or cheese?
Also, in an interview you gave on “The Genius Life” channel you mentioned that cows milk doesn’t contain MCT’s. Is that true for cows or only produce the A2 protein? I’ve been drinking milk from a dairy that only produces A2 milk and was wondering if switching to goat milk would be better?

Question Dr G!! My wife and I are following your plan in Unlocking the Keto Code and compressing out eating window to allow for an 18 hour fast (from End of eating dinner to the beginning of eating lunch the following day). I have a tummy and have always had trouble losing weight. I’ve lost some doing this, but I noticed that maybe because I’m taking MCT oil with my coffee, that maybe the body is using that instead of burning its own fat?? Also, I get detoxing reactions (eyes burn, bloodshot eyes, fatigue, irritability and others) not just in the morning when fasting but even in the afternoon and evening times. I have taken to having charcoal and chlorella a couple times a day, thinking I might be releasing heavy metals and others from my fat stores. Am I doing this right? Any suggestions??

Here in Samoa we been eating one meal a day for years and years, we eat a lot of fruits, nuts, coconut juice and the flesh we eat a lot of fish, shell fish, sea weeds, we drink spring water, and water from the wild forest very pure, and no pollution in the air, the rivers are very clean and our sea , We used coconut cream and oil 7 days a week different dishes, and we been drinking organic coffee from the age of 4 years old and no problem sleeping, we sleep early at night and wake up early 5 to 6am in the morning and people still living in the age of 95 to 100 plus, too many Drs telling you not to eat this and that, my advice to everyone eat organic food less red meat or cut it off, you guys always mention Mediterranean diet and Italian food or Japanese diet, what about visit to Samoa for holiday and find out our clean air no pollution and lots and lots of fruits vegetables fish we are not aloud spraying our food, all food are organic people always walked every day we are very happy people and enjoying eating good food.

What is wrong with the people watching this and commenting?😳 Most of the comments are a meaningless waste of time and space as well as being disrespectful. Dr Gundry is a highly acclaimed heart surgeon and is a fountain of knowledge from his many years of research. So he didnt tell you exactly what to eat? Go to Weight Watcher's and stop your critisism, or maybe do some research using Dr Gundry's basic guidelines. Eat what you like but in one meal a day. If you don't feel better or are not losing weight use your common sense about what to cut out or what to add. If that is beyond you, go see a nutritionist or read a book. You are missing the point - Dr Gundry is sharing his many years of research on how to maintain a healthy weight and hopefully live a long and healthy life.

I have been recommend by a health nutrionist to eat lightly cooked/steamed vegetables instead of cold salads, because there are enzymes that help digest the food & healthier gut flora.
She recommend in general to eat warm food, not cold food such as salads....if there is a possibility to heat it at least then its good to go :)
Also she recommend to have a gap between meals & eating fruits or desserts, because the fruit sugars would affect the food in the stomach and create lots of gas, indigestion. It's better to eat fruits/desserts before or wait a while.

If you want a salad. Just let it sit out a little bit so it isn’t super cold like it just came out of the freezer.
I eat plenty of steamed vegetables such as broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, and sometimes carrots. Lots of organic beef meats. Organic butter. Organic chicken meat. Wild caught fish only.
GO FOR ORGANIC AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
      1. Eggs
      2. Salmon (DON’T EAT FARM RAISED FISH)
      3. Cod liver oil or cod liver like Icelandic cod liver cans
      4. Sauerkraut
      5. Cruciferous vegetables
      6. Hamburger - grass fed and grass finished - with onion (20-30% fat meat if a good grass fed finished fat) (low fat if not a premium healthy meat as fat won’t be as healthy)
      7. Avocado
      8. Broccoli sprouts
      9. Asparagus
      10. Nutritional yeast
      11. Yogurt, whole, plain, or sour. More sour it is more good bacteria. No sugar
      12. Apple cider vinegar for acetate
      13. Butter for butyrate
      10. 10 Coconut cream
      11. 9 Cheese, sour cream, crème fraiche, maybe coconut cream, buffalo mozzarella
      12. 8 wild caught Sardines (packed in olive oil) or any fatty fish like mackerel(not king), herring, trout, or salmon
      13. 7 Butter, olive oil, coconut oil. Don’t cook the olive oil.
      14. 6 Macadamia nuts (or pecans) walnuts, almonds
      15. Seeds - pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, 95% of most seeds are okay
      16. 5 Leafy greens (lettuce, arugula, (don’t eat a lot of spinach), kale, cabbage) and non starchy vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, peppers (add a fat like butter with just eating vegetables)
      17. 4 Avocado
      18. 3 Eggs
      19. 2 chicken wings (grass fed finished organic
      20. 1 grass fed beef or other meats. Fish, chicken, beef, organ meats, game
Salad with nutritional yeast sprinkled on it with an avocado with an organic burger and sauerkraut (sauerkraut is good for gut)
      Cinnamon, fenugreek, turmeric, cloves, ginseng

I also only eat wild caught fish, in fact my stomach/body reacts to pretty much anything that is fake lol
Also eating real food & well means only those with good salary can do it, so it' enough as a motivation to start studying or upgrade one's lifestyle.. specifically if you want to raise concious children. But one can manage on a poor man's diet or smaller income also ofc.
I think it's worth the money to put it on food & healthy activities as one's medicine & not needing to be dependent on the system for help with diseases.
It may feel as if life is about survival in the beginning, but once it's become one's way of living i think it becomes a habit and one can learn/focus on other things that are also hobbies, one can find plenty of free hobbies/activities also ofc lol

Modern humans have only lived in strong season areas for about 60,000 years. So to say eating seasonally because humans evolved to that is pretty silly. Humans had fully evolved long before leaving Africa. And it's likely those first humans leaving Africa ate mostly animals at least until about 10,000 years ago when we started farming. I think many people think there's a lot of fruit and vegetables available in the wild but that's far from true.

In our supermarkets we get all food the whole year. No matter if they are harvested in spring, summer, autumn or winter thanks to global exchange.
In the rain forests the fruits can be harvested only once a year according to the season, some in spring, some ....
