there's something missing in this one, you didnt address puddle dmg and puddle fire damage because it SIGNIFICANTLY goes up if u just use the epc to ignite yr puddles when u use them and the combined dps just makes the goo gun that much more viable. its sticky napalm after all
HIA's damage increase is tiny so the only thing it has going for it is the direct hit slow, paired with duration mod you get a very reliable slow on every enemy you hit but then again is it worth it over a max fragment build to maximize the chance of enemies getting stuck in a puddle, slowing them more while also damaging them with puddles? perhaps HIA would be decent for slowing purposes on mactera plague or robot mutator where puddles are useless? said enemies are also weak to corrosive element so the tiny damage bonus of HIA would have a bigger impact here
I think the unrelated changes they made to sludge pump itself indirectly buffed antigrav and nerfed HIA. with the now higher DOT of corrosion slow is less important to ensure grunts die before they get to you, plus higher fire rate means you can finish them of worst case. also antigrav is naturally better now that mactera have corrosion weakness and the sludges on hit corrosion kills more things faster, on top of having been buffed.
Interesting to see ingredient X is missing, is it going to be removed for season 2? I love the concept of that mod but it was never really able to compete with the slow or improved acid, maybe it'll return as an overclock sometime in the future?
Thanks for showcasing the updated numbers. I've tested the weapon on the experimental for a couple days and I like where it is now. It feels like the gun now properly rewards playing around its more complex mechanics and shorter uptime compared to the other driller primaries.
I simply love your videos, because that is what space mining needs: science! I think I would appreciate even more if you"d speak to us, but I can understand if u don"t want to...
I am still a bit confused by the buffs made to the sludge pump. It felt just fine as it was. I can think of many things in this game that could use a buff, but sludge pump would've not even made it into the list. Pre-buff I was actually finding it so effective I was dreading it would potentially get nerfed.
Agreed, I would just have made the tier 5 armor breaking perk be a part of the base gun (which they did) and leave it at that. But hey as a driller main I’m not complaining.
they mostly just buffed single fire direct hits and single target dps which were its weakest aspects, so its not like its better at doing what it did best. I think its reasonable, as the gun was a win more lose more option before, being better than it needed to be when you saw bugs coming, and less effective than its contemporaries when you got caught off guard. now its something I'll actually bring into an elite deep dive despite haz 5 swarm sizes often catching me off guard.
What? The CSP is still garbage! Lower sustained damage than flames, less slow than flames, less burst than flames, less utility than flames. GSG could quadruple the damage the CSP does over time and it still would be a bad weapon.

Absolutely love the in depth testing and info videos sandwiched between fun content vids.
Its really interesting to see ol' gunkey getting some love
Cant wait to see the combo with the hand cooker!

It's now a part of the weapon itself, no longer a mod.
@@MrGrimmXM8 That is really cool, a bigger buff than one would think.
amazing tests as always, thank you for taking the time to run these tests for us

I've been loving the sludge pump with the wave cooker slow and neurotoxin. They can basically bring dreadnoughts to a standstill.
0:23 I like how smart you play
Like how you didn't use ammo here until you used the ignite oppressors gas cloud
Lost in the sauce.
I just want the direct hit and puddle effect icons (next to the bugs go bar) to go down as the effects wear off.

Holy shit bro your ER vid blew up
Amazingly thorough as always
How you build EPC to burn puddles like that? What about Colette build with SLUDGE?
Back from the Lands in Between to deliver the sludge pump info dump we need
what your current fav oc for sludge pump in season 2?
So slow them down a ton and then light them on fire.
Za wardo
Is it just me or does the hydrogen ion additive seems weak ?
Its a clean overclock, its meant to be a small buff without any downsides
beautiful work sir
So they removed the armor melting mod? Darn, and just when I started using it.
It’s part of the base weapon now
@@generalpacman6414 I know, it's awesome.
Great stuff
What is DoT?

Are you tsundere or something? In the past you said:"The Sludge pump sucks,Sticky flames are better"
...where in this video does he say that sludge pump is now better/worse/equal to sticky flame?
Here: ua-cam.com/video/WHqQNtyHkC0/v-deo.html
Sludge pump sucks, sticky flames are better at everything the CSP can do in any average mission.
In the season 1 perhaps, now is pretty op
