Honestly the hate Blaire and Kalvin have towards nonpassing trans people kinda reminds me of those rich and privleged kids at school who bully you for your clothes and interests. Considering they are both pretty well off and have the privilege of being able to transition, its really disgusting how they have sympathy towards others in a more difficult situation.

Em well I mean according to the APA, WPATH and the WHO gender dysphoria is not required in order to be transgender.... if you are arrogant enough to argue with medical institutions then that’s on you I guess. gender dysphoria is a medical condition, gender is an identity. They are correlated because most trans people figure their identity through gender dysphoria as it is the driving force for most people’s transitions ((But it is not the ONLY reason to transition)). Being scared “left wing people will hunt you down and kill you” is ridiculous, political violence is of course committed on both sides, but it is right wing groups that tend to engage more with violence.

First of all they got top surgery and the time of being on testosterone already made permanent changes.
On top of that they are non-binary not a trans man so transitioning "fully" doesn't make sense.
There are many people that are trans that cannot do any transitioning, because it's too expensive. Are they not trans because they haven't transitioned enough?

I used to like Kalvin + Blaire, I’m ashamed to say. That time was very toxic, self hating, and full of internalised transphobia. This video is the worst I’ve seen. It’s nothing but bullying. I want to switch sides, I’m done with transmedicalism. What’s the point? These people they make fun of aren’t hurting anyone.
I think a lot of us went through phases of hating on people just jump on any bandwagon. Luckily most of us mature into decent people
I sympathise with you. When I was a baby transguy, Garrah was some of my earliest exposure to other trans folks. I ate up his transphobic bullshit like it was mashed potatoes. Being able to blame "transtrenders" (which is a slur coined by a TERF btw) gave me an easy vent for my stress and anxiety and the shitty feelings dysphoria left me with. Transmedicalism is almost cult-like in it's execution and the fact that so many transmeds side with and parrot TERF rhetoric is saddening. But it's never too late to escape and wash yourself of their influence. It's hard to unlearn these behaviours, but you can do it! I believe in you!

I’ve never heard of them till now. Why did everyone make videos on them? What was their reasoning?
asheresque They made a video about everyone having implicit biases, but at the time of making the video, being a bit younger than they are right now, they didn’t use very careful wording. They went on to say, “Every white person is racist, every cis person is transphobic.” which stirred up a lot of reactionaries(?) and they became the face of “cringe SJW”. Heck, even people who were supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and accepting towards people of colour called them out on it; although, these people probably had the right to feel offended by these statements/accusations because they were trying to be allies to those communities. Milo being non binary was used as more ammo to ridicule them, and I’m sure other trans people like Blaire, Kalvin, etc. called them out as they were low hanging fruit.

Because after researching what T can do to your body he decided that he doesn't want to go trough with it, does it make him any less of a guy? No, does it mean he doesn't have dysphoria? No. Being trans is about not identify yourself as the sex you were assigned at birth, THAT'S IT, so yes, it absolutly should have non-binary people under the trans umbrella, but what trans binary people have to realize is that THERE ARE various forms to identify yourself as, people CAN experience dysphoria differently than you just like everyones experience with any other kind of illness like depression, anxiety, dysmorphia, etc
@LinusDickTips The medical ones, my man, he doesn't want to go through because of medical reason, just like he doesn't want to go through with the bottom surgery because of medical reasons, taking hormones or doing surgery are a lot more complex and some people don't want to go trough with it, those things can change your body for better or for worse and some people don't wanna take the risk despise having dysphoria or even dismorphya and that shouldn't invalidate their experiences as trans people

Videos like Kevins' send hate to "transtrenders" for expressing themselves the way they want to, his opinions make other go and send death threats to these people, all because he doesn't like them. This is harmful because recieving hate like can severely affect one's mental health, it fuels one's anxiety and insecurity, breaks them down, thus making them believe they deserve to die and are disgusting; leading to them possibly attempting to end their lives. That's a gross simplification though.
Making fun of minorities can be done right, just as you can make fun of any group of people like white cishet people as well, but at some point your jokes begin to demonize and alienate the group youre making fun of. It becomes harmful because minorities are isolated enough as is, and if you make them seem like even more like freaks it will validate people's opinions of them; causing more discrimination against said minority.
Terms like Cishet are not a slur or discriminatory, just as being straight, cisgender, able bodied nerodiverse, white, and or wealthy will never make you apart of a marginalized group. White Cishet(ect) people will rarely if even get hurt by us like we have been hurt by them. They won't be mass murdered, enslaved, tortured, discriminated against, raped, kidnapped, have laws infringing on their human rights, be victims to systemic oppression, and will never be hatecrimed for their identities.. thusly, white, ablebodied, neurotypical, cishet people will never be oppressed, and light jokes will never perpetuate any misperceptions about them nor cause them harm. If for what ever reason, a white cishet person does get harrassed for nothing more than their cishet identity, then that's wrong and should be stopped; we are not hypocrites and no one deserves harrassment for something like their identity.
Honestly, as long as the jokes are coming from an educated place, and you are not spreading misinformation, then keep on joking about trans people, you're allowed to make jokes as we are allowed to make jokes about cishet people. As long as no harm is done, it's perfectly fine. It's when jokes start perpetuating racism, homophobia, trasphobia and ect. that it becomes a problem and might start hurting people even if it is just words. I recommend doing further research on this all, for I cannot go fully in depth and admittedly don't know everything on these topics.

And it’s actually the reason why there are so many hate crimes in our society. We haven’t changed the idea that “minorities” are there to be oppressed. Trust me. We still fear physical harms, or that we can’t find homes or jobs... that’s still real. Now we know that those things are symptoms, that hate is more complicated than the consequences we experience.

I remember when I saw a video of Blaire watching transgender Tik Toks. She was super disrespectful to nonbinary and trans people that don't have surgery because she said that being transgender means having top and bottom surgery, taking T, etc, when that's not what it's means. I personally think Kalvin is very smart and has the capability to make very interesting videos with criticism and talking about serious topics but making a video like that that wasn't light-hearted at all but cruel just makes him seem bad.

It helps that I play hockey, so binding on the ice really isn’t an issue for me. For off-ice training it definitely sucks, and I went through a period of wearing binders while working out, which is definitely not something anyone should do (back problems aint great).
For right now I have a couple of options : 1 or 2 really tight sports bras, which doesn’t make it completely flat, but it’s better than nothing or I put on kt tape or trans tape paired with either a sports bra or a really loose binder and that works pretty well.
At the end of the day, even though it sucks not being flat right now while playing sports, it’s something that I’m working on accepting or ignoring. I’m working on not giving a fuck what other people think and not caring if they see the bump, which is hard to do. I pretend to be confident until I am (fake it till you make it).
Also I don’t know what you’re situation is, but over time, I’ve come to realise that I notice these things way more than other people and they don’t really care. There are some days where even if I’m working out by myself, I just feel too self conscious and have to leave. Thats ok, it’s not perfect all the time. Just do what you can, while you can.
It also helps me to know that amab people who have gynecomastia aren’t flat either. And that this is a temporary situation for me (I will get top surgery one day), so in the meantime I’m not going to put my life on hold and I’m going to keep doing the things I love (sports), even if it’s sometimes uncomfortable.
Hope this helps, and just remember, do what feels best. Coping with dysphoria while playing sports is definitely hard, but for me it’s worth it. :)

And that´s what his whole content boils down to. I think you put it into words well that he´s just compensating his own insecurities.

If it sounds fishy, regardless of the side - research it and come across multiple sources from different areas before coming to the conclusion that it must be correct and spreading that info around just because that's what you want it to be. Just strive to improve yourself without being nasty to others, it's not that difficult, and you don't even have to take sides. Matters of compassion and respect aren't so much of a "side" thing in the first place. I had no clue people are still going after Milo. It's so vile that they go after them, and I'm speaking as someone who'd follow these reactionary UA-camrs back when they made fun of Milo back in 2016 (I was on that anti-SJW bandwagon when I was 14, I must've been 15 when I realised something wasn't right and decided to take many steps back from that, I'm about the same age as you). The fact that Milo has still been getting hate, mostly based on a fairly reasonable (but perhaps not perfectly executed) video they made 5 years ago, and is still out there making content just makes me respect them more.
Yeah, I think I kinda bought into the narrative that Milo was kinda "out there" from the videos back in the day dunking on them for making certain assertions about white people in the context of racism. It literally only took me actually spending a few minutes to understand where they're coming from to realize that oh, this person isn't crazy regardless of if I agree or not, because the line of reasoning isn't that strange and not something meant to offend. It's just that they were presenting a version of a legitimate argument that was easy for the "antis" to misconstrue because Milo didn't go out of their way to elaborate on what it actually meant and instead referenced other people that were supposedly more equipped to explain it(which is fair). Milo isn't an unreasonable or crazy person. At all.
And the problem was never Milo, it was that antis never argue in good faith, and pretty much always strawman people. In a way I'm thankful, it really made me go out of my way to fact check the people I watch online, and I unsubbed from ALL the anti-sjw commentary channels I was watching, because as it turns out literally all of them were either coming from a place of malice or a place of being ignorant and misinformed and operating on assumption. I'm not so balls deep in any ideology that I can't agree to disagree, or allow people their opinions even if they're kinda crass, but I don't want to support big commentary channels that essentially help form public opinion but habitually make assertions that are built on a foundation of lies or misinformation. I'm really ashamed that I didn't catch on much earlier, because unlike you, I was well into adulthood when I was watching these people. It did teach me a valuable lesson though.

When I was first kinda settling into my trans identity I remember watching Kalvin Garrah, and I only ran into his channel because I was watching Sam Collins and Jammidodger. I did watch a few of his videos but I noticed most of the videos I watched left a bad feeling in my stomach. I haven't seen a a Kalvin Garrah video in a while now so I'd kinda just hoped he had stopped, because in the end it shouldn't really matter to him. Like if asexuals are just doing their thing, and non-binary people are just living their lives, who cares? The amount of impact it has on anyone's life but that person's is inconsequential. I can't say much about Blaire White, but it seems to me that both she and Kalvin Garrah care a little too much about what everyone else is doing and that's kinda sad. We're all here so why not either leave each other be, but supportive, or just not actively try and make each other miserable.
Honestly blows my mind how these two are still on this transmed bs years into their transition. Like I remember being early in transition and agreeing with what kalvin said because as a binary trans person, gnc trans people made ME insecure about my own dysphoria. Which was my issue that i worked out on my own without taking it out on other people like kalvin does. And then years into my transition i felt better about myself and not as insecure and my views changed because i realised it doesnt matter what other people are doing. It makes me sad that kalvin is even further into his transition than me and still like this.

So seeing someone address them and point out the many flaws in their videos is a nice change of pace compared to the people who say "the haters are just jealous of your looks".

for the past few months, I guess I was considering myself a fan of kalvin garrah and Blaire white. I was always judging nb folk, and those with identities i didn't understand. let's just say, I was like another version of them. but a few days ago, I happened to stumble upon your videos, and let me just say, my views have definitely changed. don't get me wrong, I was already suspicious of his actions early on, but didn't think much of it. Honestly,I'd like to thank you for opening my eyes and I think we all need to come to a realization what harm kalvin and Blaire's content does to trans youth and those figuring out their identities. as someone who has been struggling with their gender identity, i felt a lack of validation when watching blaire and kalvin's videos about non binary people. Yeah... When I watched his video I was beyond angry for all the same reasons you brought up. It makes me so upset that there are trans people out there that understands what it's like to have dysphoria and then instead of feeling compassion for others, rips others down in order to "save face" or to make sure that the trans community has good optics. I have no idea why so many bread tubers act like "ohh I guess they're just misinformed/made an oopsie". NO! They know and they don't care.
Sad thing with breadtube is they tend to try to appeal to both sides while only actually appealing to the right because they think that being nice to irredeemable people will make those people rethink their views and yea maybe that works on a few of them but the content that gets put out just pushes more left leaning/centrist to the right
And if they get called out for problematic behaviours they just bitch and whine about cancell culture when if they just apologised and actively worked to not make the same mistake they would be forgiven
I think Blaire knows, I think Kalvin in projecting and incredibly insecure. Both of them aren't old enough to get that they can just be themselves and probably be treated just fine without thinking every trans person who isn't trans like them.

WOW, I hadn’t realized he deleted the video w/ Blaire. Obviously he should apologize for this video and the countless others he’s made bullying people. But I do think removing the video is a good thing, at least so that it doesn’t continue inciting harassment.

Edit: telling non-binary people to “be real” is so ignorant and honestly transphobic. Transitioning (medically or socially) is the very definition of being real and genuine. I’m not sure how he can claim he accepts non-binary as valid if he thinks they are somehow acting as a character.
A trans person that went to my high school was in one of Kalvin’s TikTok cringe videos... I’m not sure if he ever saw it or not but it was so shitty of him to post those videos without thinking about who they might reach. It was heartbreaking to see him just cyber bully this person he’s never had the opportunity to meet - a person that I have met and is actually a really cool dude

I really love this video. You remained civil the entire video and never once fell into the same pit falls Kalvin does. You addressed your thoughts and feelings in a wonderful manner. And with that remained optimistic throughout this entire situation. We really need more exposure of content creators like you.
People like kalvin are the reason why sometimes i'm afraid to interact with the trans comunity, it's so sad to see how such a bully like him gets a big platform to be mean to trans and non binary folks who aren't "masc" and present differently.
