The comment sections beneath both of them (back when I watched the videos) had people saying that she twisted things out of context (I haven’t read the things that started started the problems myself, I’ve only heard other people talk it. Still, the amount of comments pointing it out makes me believe that she did twist things, or at the very least leave out a bunch of details). In short, what I remember from her videos about Rowling is something along the lines of “Rowling only says that we need a certain amount of criteria in order to diagnose someone with something. Not everyone is trans, and Rowling is not transphobic for saying it” (please check the videos instead of taking my word for it, I saw these videos when they were new and I don’t remember everything perfectly. Blaire has really gone off the mark as of late, even many transmedicalists like myself have lost respect for her because of shit like this. Her video could have potentially ruined Janae's reputation if she wasn't so well known in the sporting world. I think Blaire genuinely contributes to the Terf mindset that trans women are men who want to 'attack poor bio women' and 'invade women's spaces'. She has only shit on trans female athletes and not trans male athletes (in the same video she praises a trans man who is a boxer I think, not saying he doesn't deserve respect btw), and she once Photoshopped a beard onto a non-binary transfeminine person or trans woman (can't remember which) for a video thumbnail, which was obviously done to further this narrative as well as other things. i ended up watching blaire's video about that jk rowling drama with her new book since she is trans herself and i wanted a trans person's views and opinions but i couldnt help but notice how she obviously glossed over why people found the need to be wary and upset with the topic of that book to begin with or didnt bother to discuss jkrs clear transphobia outside of that situation as well, thus it didnt explain the outrage as a whole. she basically shifted the blame over to trans supporters for trying to helpful and voical about transphobic issues, saying they're overreacting. her comment section is a mess on top of it and you can usually sniff out what type of person you're dealing with based off the type of people that interact with said section.

That's actually not true. Blaire is a very smart person and every little disgusting thing she does, she does it for a reason. For those uninformed, figure competitors want to look lean i.e. well defined muscles and low body fat percentage NOT big or bulky muscles. Power lifters intentionally train for larger muscles and will even put on weight to add power to their lifts. An example of an accomplished afab power lifter is nataliya kuznetsova who is 5’7” and 220lbs/ 1.7 meters and 100kg.
I'm so tired of the way Blair treats trans women who aren't "passing". It's a constant reoccurring theme in her videos, where if a trans woman doesn't look the way Blair thinks they should, she goes out of her way to paint them as bad. It sounds like the worst thing ever, but honestly, Blaire comes off as someone who, for the most part, cares about her own validation before anyone else's. So any shot she can take that makes her seem like "one of the good trans" is one she's going to take. Even, and given by the audience she's garnered, now especially, when it targets other trans people. It's very much a "I got mine, screw them" mentality. This is why she'll go out of her way to use unflattering or pre-transition photos of other Trans Women, because she knows that a large portion of her audience doesn't think that she's a woman, but if she can just bury other trans women deep enough, then all of her Alt-Right fans will be nice enough to use her preferred name and pronouns.

I think that's par for the course for any conservative platformer, or conservative in general really. Conservatism in the United States is based on lies and ignorance. There are actually so many athletes that put their (medical) transition on hold to keep playing sports at a high level and it’s important to remember that the team you play on doesn’t determine your gender (Janae is women even while she competes with men and I’m a man even as I compete with women). That’s what I’m trying to normalize on my channel and athletes like Janae are so important to me so seeing Blaire White’s video is so damaging and I’m happy people have started to respond to her dumb video! Blaire has really gone off the mark as of late, even many transmedicalists like myself have lost respect for her because of shit like this. Her video could have potentially ruined Janae's reputation if she wasn't so well known in the sporting world. I think Blaire genuinely contributes to the Terf mindset that trans women are men who want to 'attack poor bio women' and 'invade women's spaces'. She has only shit on trans female athletes and not trans male athletes (in the same video she praises a trans man who is a boxer I think, not saying he doesn't deserve respect btw), and she once Photoshopped a beard onto a non-binary transfeminine person or trans woman (can't remember which) for a video thumbnail, which was obviously done to further this narrative as well as other things. It's so sad because she herself is a trans woman and you would think a trans woman wouldn't do this shit to other trans women, but I think she wants views and the respect of TERFs and the alt right at the end of the day.
i dont think she’s trying to attract TERFs to her channel because (if i remember correctly) she has outright said that she hates them, but she is definitely trying to pander to the alt right. it’s really sad that she puts politics before her own community’s reputation.

I completely agree with your argument and it makes me extremely angry that Blair White could possibly say those things that is completely incorrect and damaging. Someone with her platform should be more responsible and I am miffed that someone could be so neglectfull and reckless. I don't know that much on the situation but thank you for educating me a bit! i ended up watching blaire's video about that jk rowling drama with her new book since she is trans herself and i wanted a trans person's views and opinions but i couldnt help but notice how she obviously glossed over why people found the need to be wary and upset with the topic of that book to begin with or didnt bother to discuss jkrs clear transphobia outside of that situation as well, thus it didnt explain the outrage as a whole. she basically shifted the blame over to trans supporters for trying to helpful and voical about transphobic issues, saying they're overreacting. her comment section is a mess on top of it and you can usually sniff out what type of person you're dealing with based off the type of people that interact with said section.

For those uninformed, figure competitors want to look lean i.e. well defined muscles and low body fat percentage NOT big or bulky muscles. Power lifters intentionally train for larger muscles and will even put on weight to add power to their lifts. An example of an accomplished afab power lifter is nataliya kuznetsova who is 5’7” and 220lbs/ 1.7 meters and 100kg.
I'm so tired of the way Blair treats trans women who aren't "passing". It's a constant reoccurring theme in her videos, where if a trans woman doesn't look the way Blair thinks they should, she goes out of her way to paint them as bad. She doesn't care about accuracy if she can tear down other trans women.

I really don't understand Blaire White. Like I don't get it how is she like this? I know that she feels empathy and feels bad about certain things she does. Like why does she act like this? I don't get it
It sounds like the worst thing ever, but honestly, Blaire comes off as someone who, for the most part, cares about her own validation before anyone else's. So any shot she can take that makes her seem like "one of the good trans" is one she's going to take. Even, and given by the audience she's garnered, now especially, when it targets other trans people. It's very much a "I got mine, screw them" mentality. This is why she'll go out of her way to use unflattering or pre-transition photos of other Trans Women, because she knows that a large portion of her audience doesn't think that she's a woman, but if she can just bury other trans women deep enough, then all of her Alt-Right fans will be nice enough to use her preferred name and pronouns.

There are actually so many athletes that put their (medical) transition on hold to keep playing sports at a high level and it’s important to remember that the team you play on doesn’t determine your gender (Janae is women even while she competes with men and I’m a man even as I compete with women). That’s what I’m trying to normalize on my channel and athletes like Janae are so important to me so seeing Blaire White’s video is so damaging and I’m happy people have started to respond to her dumb video! I honestly begin to suspect that Blaire gets her information from some very conservative, transphobic resources where data is warped and altered to portray trans people in bad light. And finally, why is it such a big deal that Janae competed with men post transition? Sport is a passion, this person is a champion who dedicated her entire life to it.
