I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. My 12U daughter was having some trouble throwing overhand (she is a pitcher) and one of your videos gave her direction and drills she is using almost daily to improve her throws. She is now watching all of your video's and incorporating them into her workouts with her coaches.
Question about the fielding a backhand in the crossover position. Would you ever recommend to switch the feet so the right foot is extended first? Is there a preferred way?
@MegRemSoftball definitely makes sense! As a former college shortstop i was taught "whatever works for the play" . But ive seen some guys (baseball) teaching to always get the right foot out front. I'm going to do this drill sequence tonight with my 11yo girls tonight!
What size glove do you recommend for short stops my daughter currently has an 11.5 size glove she really likes it just wondering if this is hurting her
@@MegRemSoftball cool thanks, i have another ? sorry for being annoying. So my daughter is having a hard time keeping the ball in her glove when fielding she sees the ball into her glove when she comes up it falls out glove is broken in nicely pocket is full just wondering is there a fix for this do you think shes pooping up to soon or just not squeezing hard enough or just not waiting that half a second for the ball to seat in her glove before popping up to make the throw please let me know if this makes sense thank you very much and i really enjoy your videos
@@matthewmascorro5566 Sounds like she is coming up too soon! If you don't have a flat glove, have her use her barehands while you gently roll some grounders so she can feel her eyes staying down longer.

Absolutely! Good luck!

Yes just depends on how hard and far the ball is hit. Usually that happens at 3rd because you’re so close and reaction time needs to be quicker.

@@tiffanymoyer9499 I am with you - whatever works for the play! This crossover is just one option. Only opting for one set up is limiting the player!

Mine is also 11.5. I say no larger than 11.75 in size for infielders.
