@3:21 you mention always stepping out with the glove foot (as I've always understood), so why do you keep the left foot in the ladder when going backhand in the first drill @0:46 ?
Just do your best to keep building her up and working with her. Remind her mistakes will definitely happen no matter what but always keep putting the work in! Great things will come.

One tweak to the first drill - alternate your feet so that your right foot is always on the bag as a right handed 1B.
