    The first time I went to an ENT more than 10 years ago and they told me it wasn't going away and I had to just live with it. How wrong they were. If they had shared some positive thinking strategy, or told me that with a healthy lifestyle and mindset I could experience quiet, would have saved me years of agony. No matter how bad it is, there's always a way out though the road may be tough and with many bumps along the way. We've got this.

    I can't believe it! After suffering from Tinnitus for the past 12 years, for the past 2 days I have listened to this sound video for 2 hours at the loudest volume and the screaming in my ears have turned silent. After I wake up from sleeping, the screaming comes back but I put my earbuds back in and crank up this sound and ears go quiet!

    Many of your videos disguise the noise in my head if the volume is raised sufficiently. However, this one approximates what I hear so closely, that I'm able to completely tune out my tinnitus with just a low volume level. Many thanks, Dale.

    This may seem somewhat odd but even though my tinnitus is not a pure tone frequency like this. This sound helps to cover up some of the fluctuating noise I hear and helps my brain focus on this noise rather than predominantly focus on the noise in my head when trying to sleep. This video has helped me get some proper sleep since a huge spike this February. Big thanks for making this, it's really helped me out a lot! Hopefully we can all benefit from some kind of proper treatment in the near future (for those of us with bad tinnitus like myself), I know there are some interesting things in the pipleline, like Susan Shore's device, the potential of the XEN1101 drug and Tzounopoulos' spin on it as well) but for now this is definitely helping to get me through some of the tough nights.

    Have been using your videos for 18 months, trying the various levels. My hearing loss is at 8500Hz (?). I started with videos closer to that level but finding the 11kHz, 11.5kHz and now the 14kHz actually cover the very high pitched ringing disappear - thank you so much!

    • @ravigunslinger
      @ravigunslinger 2 роки тому

      I also go to gigs and festivals, though not very frequently… but the ones I do go to are *very* noisy. Audio is hobby of mine too, and I used to exclusively mix using headphones… for years… probably at high volumes…
      I’m not sure if I’ve had this for years, but not been bothered by it - like I just accepted that this constant 14khz tone was just the normal sound of silence. But in the last few days I’m constantly thinking about it. I can only hear it in complete silence. I’m going through a very anxious time in life at the moment. So maybe a lot of it is that.
      I have hearing loss at >13-14khz too (from online tests - I’ve got a hearing test booked today). I’m only 35! Apparently I have the ears of a 46 year old!
      Moral of the story, PROTECT YOUR EARS! Wear ear protection!

    I just found this channel today. I have experienced a couple of videos already. I am shocked by the relief these have given me. I can literally feel something in my brain. Like it's being restructured or rewired. It tingles. I have been living with tinitus since I answered a phone during a lightening storm. For over 20 years I have learned to accept this condition. After all I was struck by lightning and lived. Tinitus was a small price to pay in exchange for my life. Never has my tinitus been this low in volume. I will tell everyone to go to this channel. I pledge my support. This has changed my life. And now I'm crying. Lol. Thank you so much. Please turn this into a program so many more people can find relief. Please work with neurologists and audiologists. This treatment works. You have to work as hard as you can to make this treatment mainstream. You will save lives and change the lives of others so much towards the better. Thank u for helping us. Please continue this work. It's important! I have a BA in communications and marketing. I don't know how I can help, but I would give you every spare moment I can.

    As a tinnitus sufferer for over 10 years due to a head injury, I have sought many remedies. I've had audiologists give me hearing aids to try to mask the sound but it was impossible to do because of my work responsibilities, a psychologists who recommended the sofeggio scale (amazing low volumne sounds that help me cope during my waking hours). The most helpful was Ambien for 9 years plus. Major drawbacks though... although I could sleep within 5 minutes of taking the medication, my nights were filled with nightmares until I went cold turkey at the recommendation of my doctor. He prescribed a substitute sleeping medication which had no positive effects. I began taking THC gummies (delta 9) and it has been my remedy for the last 9 months.
    Last night I happened upon this audio.
    It masks my tinnitus beautifully.
    Recalling the hearing aids that my audiologist prescribed, the frequency that is used here does exactly the same thing without having to plug plastic into my ears.
    Sweet peaceful rest (gummies are a pleasant addition).
    😇

    I found your channel fairly recently and have been listening to it every day since. I really haven’t figured out if I’m supposed to find a higher range than my tinnitus (which is extremely high) or listen to a masker
    to sooth and mask. Sometimes when I use the scrubber on the highest volume it actually goes away for a day but I always wake up the next morning with my tinnitus as loud as usual. I am worried that I’m damaging my hearing when I put it on the highest volume. Regardless, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your channel. Thank you!,

      Best to play below your tinnitus volume to promote habituation. The pitch is less important than volume. If you fully mask your tinnitus you cannot promote habituation….so a volume set where you can hear your tinnitus but also the outside sound that can provide distraction from it is best.

    Does anyone else find their ear canals change size? My temporal bones are moving around, apparently. A doctor would say that’s rubbish, but a cranial osteopath would know the plates of the skull do subtly move. And sometimes a bit of help (with feelings of congestion) can be had by a good long tug downwards on my ear lobes, or in the recess leading to the ear canal. Which reminds me of another exercise we’d do during warm ups before singing , to work around the edges of the pinnae of the ears with you’re fingers, as if to uncurl the edges. Very relaxing and enlivening. Apparently the ears are jam packed with acupressure points so maybe that’s why.

      Didn't you have any other symptoms? Asking because I woke up with tinnitus 1 morning predominantly in my right ear, without any reason like exposure to loud music or ear infection, nor was I on any medication. So please tell if you noticed any other symptoms.

    I noticed something while cleaning my ears with an ear bud. I have tinnitus in both ears but lower and hardly noticeable in my right ear. So while cleaning, i pressed the bud on the mid region of the canal with some pressure and noticed that the tinnitus volume increased.
    Hence, if it ain't a neck pinch issue, it's probably an ear canal pressure issue pressing the nerve that's causing the tinnitus at least for me.
    I don't know if there is any nerve running through there or not.. but it's an interesting find.
    My left ear has higher frequency and higher volume noticeable at night. Not so much in the right ear.
    Try clearing your ear eustachian tube as well every day if that is the cause.

    Found you recently and have been working my way through your collection. My problem is the T in the left ear is different than the right. This one, like most others, works well masking my right ear. Not so much with the left. Thanks for what you do. Still searching...

      Thanks Matt. There may be away in your listening device to adjust the balance/panning to favor one speaker more while listening. This is possible in the sound control panel on desktop. On a phone it may require downloading an app to do that.

    Am I supposed to find the matching frequency so that it cancels out the one I'm hearing or am I supposed to simply listen to another frequency instead? Haven't found one that creates silence or relief.

      Just try to find a sound, that can mask your tinnitus and put that sound as low volume as possible. This is what I found out is the best thing to relax. Too high volume masking is bad because once you turn off the sound, your tinnitus will come back like a train.

    What speakers do you all use as most don’t have 14khz frequency response??

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  Рік тому

      Most speakers with tweeters, high frequency drivers, should go 16 kHz to 20 kHz. I use old Realistic bookshelf speakers and Tannoy in the studio. For around the house, I use a bluetooth speaker called Wonderboom.

    I guess it masked the tinnitus but now there's another noise I would need to hear on top of the tinnitus.
    What is this suppose to do.
    JUST asking.
    Thank you

    • @dixonhill1108
      @dixonhill1108 2 роки тому

      This is exactly what my tinnitus sounds like, for me it doesn't remove the noise, it puts an equal noise in both ears. So both my ears have tinnitis, when it's only one hear it feels like I need to turn that ear off to turn the noise off. When I hear the sound in both ears I have symmetry it's like getting hearing in both ears all at once.
