Fuck yes. This is MY zakk i grew up on. Blonde, shaven, bellbottoms, wide stanced. He was a fuckin monster back then. No beard or muscles needed. Nowadays, this era reminds me of what steve gaines shouldve been
I LOVED this band so much.
An album I've listened to over and over, and I never got tired of it. Juste the concept of mixing Sabbath and Skynyrd was brilliant.

The Allman Brothers on steroids!! Such an incredible album. Still love Zakk but this is my favorite. Hope Pantera comes around next year. Darrell can’t be replaced but no one better than Zakk to give him a tribute.

What a blast it must have been to play a gig like that in Italy. The weather, environment and chicks look like paradise. Bragging rights for anyone who got to play at that show.
This is the genuine article right here folks. Any subsequent band iterations pale in comparison.
I am convinced that prode and glory and book of shadows would have been huge successes if the right sings were released , had videos, and were pushed

This is Southern rock and bell bottoms brothers! Can’t imagine what he would have influenced in this style... Love BLS too but I am a Southern boy and it makes me wonder what if..
This sounds even better than the record , and they have just 3 instruments: only the basics, drums , bass & guitar!! And zakk‘ s voice really kicks ass!!!

Killer early stuff. When he called this lineup Pride n Glory. This was just after Lynyrd Skinhead. I was in LA at music school when my roommates asked me to go to a show of Zakk, billed as Lynyrd Skinhead in the valley. Our "pre show party " got me way too fucked up to walk so I couldn't go but they told me it was insane.
I love JD and the boys but this was a killer lineup and material.

JUST MY OPINION..(i know what that's w🙄rth)..i felt Black Label Society's songwriting INFERIOR to Pride/Glory album: Sweet Jesus, Troubled Wine, Toe N the Line.. lyrical poems put to music.
