He should have kept this band together for all these years. I bought a BLS cd once. The singer sounded like he should have been in Gwar. Couldn't even finish the album. This was way better.

JUST MY OPINION..(i know what that's w🙄rth)..i felt Black Label Society's songwriting INFERIOR to Pride/Glory album: Sweet Jesus, Troubled Wine, Toe N the Line.. lyrical poems put to music.

It's been my major gripe since Stronger Than Death. A dozen albums. 3 of really great stuff. I love Zakk and BLS, but my guy doesn't differentiate between "don't overthink it" and "fuck it, that's good enough" anymore.
The warning was the cheeseball metal lyrics on STD. Ever since, it's been a dice roll. P&G and BOS were perfect.
Having said that...
Set You Free is the first Black Label song in ages to give me goosebumps.
Order Of The Black was a return to form, but he's back to just chopping shit together.
And lazy ass album covers/titles/lyrics are getting old too. C'mon. Doom Crew Inc?
