I love the way Zakk never overplays.
After 'No more tears' Ozzy decided to retire from tours, so Zakk starts to jam with the guys from Pride & Glory a little, doing some early 70's like songs, and after that he gets a call from Duff, Axl and Slash to jam with Guns n Roses and maybe even join the band, (while he was working with Ozzy in Ozzmosis), things weren't going well between the guys in Guns and at the time, Ozzy was retired from tours, so Zakk writes his solo album 'Book of Shadows' while waiting for Guns n Roses or Ozzy to call him.

I met Zakk in 1989 when they were touring for the NRFTW album. I crashed his dinner at a hotel the night before the played. He was super nice and signed my cassette. Super friendly and respectful to a teenager that interrupted his dinner. Thank you Zakk.
How could you prepare yourself for something like this if you were a Japanese person who never heard of Zakk before, he just steps up and melts your face.
