I'm impressed with Desiree''s resilience. I get that we don't see it all in the video, but to cross the Atlantic ocean in a sailboat..... is the sign of a lady with moxie. You two rock. Keep on loving one another......
Great video. I learned in the Army that sleep is as important as beans and bullets. It doesn't take long before you can no longer think and function. You will find your rhythm.
Every channel I watch talks about how they can’t pick up a camera to show the bad. 9:10. Im Sorry you felt this, very proud of you for being pregnant and still tackling this journey. Also proud of you for sharing the not great side of being a sailor. Well done (hope your on the hard now :))
I am so happy to see more channels like yours taking on crew. I know it's a bit of a sense of pride for some people to just go with two people, and I do get the provisions and close quarters. But it seems so much safer to have more people doing the watches with you. Your crew is great, and you also did well as well. Congrats. This was tough and it shows, but it helps me understand what I want to do when I do a crossing on my boat someday. Heidi
Getting tossed around.. waves on deck..spray in the face ..running from storms....sea sick...broken gear...and still end it with a smile. You guys are awesome people.
lol The out of control emotions of a soon to be new mother. what a wild ride, you got this, it will all seam trivial the moment you hold that wonderful bundle of a screaming joy in your arms. Stay positive.
Thanks for the list of all members of Jordan and Desiree's sailing crew. They are helpful by their simple presence. Who was clever enough to think about expansion of the crew? Your voyage is already a success and it remains such when reaching the final destination.
You two are amazing in a number of ways, but you truly are excellent storytellers. I have a little idea of what it takes to make an engaging video and you two have become masters. Watching this series of your Atlantic crossing, including much of the prep over the last year, I find myself super envious of not only your situation and the incredible adventures you are having, but also your talents and capacities. All good things to you, and I’m very excited for your new addition.
When passage-making, a positive attitude certainly makes the stress so much easier to deal with. Jen is a perfect crew member for this! I’d sail with her any day! Steve is great, too! I am very glad they are with you on this crossing!
Best video yet. Great to see real world sailing experience for a crossing, that us non sailers can learn from and see what goes on out on the high seas. Great job and thanks. Really felt for you all battling the elements and boat challenges.
YES - love this episode. Your crew are amazing - thank heavens they are with you during this time! Hugs to you all... I know you are through this trip and have no idea what they are doing now......... but so glad they were with you!
I wondered why they would take off across the Atlantic in a small sailboat when she was pregnant until I watched it again and saw their eyes when they looked at each other. They made the right decision.
A fantastic experience. An ocean crossing will always have the down days but the up ones cancel all those negative feelings and experiences. It is said that an Atlantic crossing is unpredictable and also the most most exhilarating. Keep up the good sprit guys your journey has just begun and I am eagerly waiting to experience it with you.
So, I just wanted to say how amazing you two are. I’ve lurked around your channel off and on for a few years, but you’ve really come into your own. Great content, honest information, and a rare humbleness. So likeable. Keep it up!
At 9.19 into the video I was in tears absolutely in tears. I’m a guy and I’m watching project atticus since the beginning and I just feel your pain. God bless from beautiful Ireland 🇮🇪 and the luck of the Irish ☘️ to you all.
That was epic. How you guys kept going with all that thrown at you. I just wanted to wrap Desiree up in a hug, poor honey, pregnant AND on a horrible passage. You’re amazing all of you. Love Steve & Jen!
I'm too old for this stuff. I did the Pacific as a 19 year old soldier on the way to Korea on an old WW 11 Liberty ship for 32 days in the early winter of 1963. You guys have my 100% respect and admiration.
Overcoming adversity is the substance of life and what makes us stronger. You guys are doing AMAZING and you are an inspiration to all of us following you.
Terrific video, Did an excellent job of describing what you were experiencing, but you both do an amazing job of articulating the beauty of the places you visit, the preparation of your boat, the emotions of a crossing. Thank you, and may God Bless the rest of your journey.
Hold on, have faith and everything will be okay. Those are perfect words of wisdom. As always have fun, be safe, and hang tough. Looking forward to next week. GO TEAM ATTICUS!
Great job Crew. Shoving off , leaving civilization behind, and going outside your comfort zone to do something great, is what makes great things worth doing.
Sitting in the comfort of my own home, I realize that some are in the middle of the ocean, dealing with whatever may occur and strong emotions, but it makes me believe that you guys are still far better off than me, living an adventurous life! You guys have got this, and we all know it. Safe sailing and wishing you well always Team Atticus!!
Well done team and a big hand to Desiree. The deeper you were the higher you fly once you are through. That’s also my life’s experience. I wish you a calm journey formte next days and can’t wait for the next episode. Take care, as usual.
I think that this is probably the best channel on UA-cam at narrating the whole honest experience and filmed so good you almost feel as if you are there also. Well dome Awesome stuff.
Great episode! Stays safe Atticus 2 crew!! Passages like this make you appreciate all the nice calm days even more! Hang in there!! you all got this!! 👍👍👊👊
I pray for you for easy, smooth, and of course safe sailing. My first concern is Desiree and your baby. Thank you for releasing a new video that is perfect.
Well done. Yes, what you have experienced IS sailing an ocean for everyone, pretty much every time. Any passage of more than a week will have highs and lows, on board as well as in the air around you. Keep up the excellent vlogs.
Exactly correct, in my experience during the really tough times, is you keep reminding yourself "this is temporary" and too shall pass. The tough times allow all of us to truly enjoy the times when it is really good and to not take those blissful moments for granted.
Now this is more like I was expecting. Last episode was so calm it was like sailing a lake. Sorry to see you guys suffer but you also seem to be toughening up too. Keep going!
I keep telling my self this when ever I am down. What a difference a day makes Stress always pushes us to our limits. It nothing more than tempering our souls. Keep smiling and God Bless.
Kia Ora, my godness, what a trip ! I am happy, that it is not a live video, because I know that at the end everything was successful. Thanks sooo much for this nice video and I wish you all the luck of this world !! cheers Siegmar
I started to tear up as you were crying Dez, lol, what a great episode once again. From storms to beautiful sunsets we are all saying our prayers for along the waves. Little Ozo is such a good little sailor 💕
A great portrayal of an ocean passage, with the added dynamic of Desiree being pregnant, quite a challenge. A very well selected and prepared boat, skipper and great crew are fundamentals you have planned for. Now how about some treats for Oso, or is he on rations?
I’ve always looked forward to each installment of your content, but this episode was the best so far. “Almost” felt like I was there with you guys. Great video!!! Keep them coming.
40 %. No matter what you're up against. When that point comes where you feel like you can't take anymore... you're only at about 40% of what you can truly handle. So yeah. Keep pushing through, you'll be amazed at what you can handle after every time you persevere. The benchmark just keeps moving up, and your capacity just gets greater. You two have been Killin' it from the get go, and the payoff shows. :)
Don’t know didn’t seem like anything that bad at all to seems exactly what I would expect to deal with on that passage. And sure beats facing the doldrums and motoring for days. After all your on a sail boat Wind is a good thing. And this is what you signed up for. YOUR sailing if your a sailor your supposed to LOVE exactly what your doing. BUT it’s tough to sometimes to stay positive when. It actually gets rough. It’s the trip not the destination that your supposed to be out there for. Yes big seas can be uncomfortable and if you get seasick easily well... meds can help BUT if after a few days your body does not adjust long distance sailing may not be for you. Big props to Des. Pregnancy alone can bring on sickness so going through this along with being seasick! Can’t say I can relate having never had to deal with that personally) but I am sympathetic. Jen!!! Now that’s the attitude. I have to say Your candid interviews have helped me and my wife’s relationship as we have had some of the same situations and how I deal with it vs her is night and day. I love it when we have two reefs in the main and the toe rail is in the waves. And beating windward but I can get short when I need to get something done and it’s outside my wife’s comfort zone and I will snap at her something like “NEVER MIND ILL JUST DO IT MYSELF” forgetting she is doing the best she can and what we are doing is outside her comfort level. Des has helped give me perspective and helped me be more understanding that if I want help I have to remain calm and helpful ESPECIALLY when the situation is urgent as it’s how I am reacting to the situation will set her up to succeed or to shut down. If I’m calm it reduces her anxiety if I bark out instructions expecting her to react as I would it will have the opposite effect. Hope you guys look back at the passage as a overall positive experience. As I’m sure you will make it through fine. As I know your boat can deal with a lot more then The weather your showing in this video.
Whilst sailing through a gale from Azores to Scotland a couple of years ago the Persian saying ‘This too shall pass’ came to mind - and it did of course. Very apt and I have carried on using it…..
In the us Navy, I crossed Atlantic twice. Both winter on a aircraft carrier. You don't want to do that. The waves broke over bow, 90 + feet above sea. Everyone sick. You can imagine 5000 souls sick. No lines in chow hall, thats if you want to eat. Of course we didn't fly during these times. Water towered over the ship. I would have died in the cruisers and frigates off in distance. they were under water as much above. Talk about rocking and rolling. Other time in a 30 ft sail boat Lake Michigan out of Milwaukee, race. Beautiful day, for 2 hours, then storm blew in. Mast hit water, 3 boats, no one rolled over, amazing. Had to run up side hang on to a shroud. So far out couldn't see land. Well he won, had some damage, coming back in calm. and yes, 2 of us were turning green. Did win the race.
Desiree- you are a star. Pregnancy, hormones raging, natural seasickness- it's amazing that things didn't get darker? I love the fact that everyone is more comfy under stronger weather conditions- its the sign of seamanship. Not easily earned, eh? Good on Ya all!!!!
What a great honest view of your trip. More amazing video footage and I believe you are all truly a crew, working to each other’s strengths and weaknesses. cant wait for the next episode.
This is by far, the bones challenge of sailing itself! Well done all of you for coming this far. Your smashing it. You can just breathe when it’s over! It would be an honour to sail with you all. ❤️
Great episode. Your explanation of the feelings one has on a passage is spot on. Having trust in the boat is a helpful key . Upbeat crew morale ....cool salty dog. Screw the weather you guys have what it takes. I have been there as well. Cheers !
Very detailed sharing! Am appreciating you all. Know yall are NOT alone! God is there to see you through every situation, so speak His Word daily to cover your axis, LOL!
Powerful video. The many and varied emotions experienced by sailors in a storm at sea were captured. I've never been where this crew was, but the video took me along on their wild ride. Thanks for sharing this experience with me!
Oh Boy! To deal with sea sickness like you for several days is just grueling I am so sorry, You are Amazing. May the boat & the oceans take good care of you. Continue to have the time of your life.
A life-long project it is to keep adversity in context. Dez...that "pit of despair" place of not only feeling horrible but also feeling like "this is it" forever more...for me, in those times, keeping it in context is a constant challenge. Y'all are awesome :)
"The best thing I can do is just hold on, get through it, and have faith that things will be brighter on the other side." - Desiree. Possibly the best advice for life! We hear that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I think that when the going gets tough, the tough don't stop. They hold on until things get better. BTW: If I'm ever out in the middle of a storm, I want Jen on my boat. She is just unflappable.
Good days versus calm or rough, wet, sleep deprived, struggling to fix stuff, seasick, you captured and explained your experiences well. Just completed a 3 1/2 week coastal race, and we experienced all of that. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I am so proud of you both but this episode was so hard to watch. Stay strong - you've come this far and there is really no limit to what you can do. I hope you'll do a live episode once you get to Portugal and include Steve and Jen. Sending all my love and good wishes to you - Aunt Sandy
Jordan seems in his element again. A relief to see desires ok again after her despondent spell. Think of Karin from delos... how she also went through her pregnancy whilst sailing. And now her nugget's a few years old...nice inspiration Had to watch this episode again...loved it so much... beautiful videography. Atticus takes to the ocean like an old pro. I'm sure ya'll will have wonderful adventures ahead of you
Awesome footage! the best video so far IMO! Cap Jordan and the rest of the crew did a great job, sorry for Desire that went through the sea sickness for a while, great passage!
Once again another awesome episode guys! Desiree you’re one tough babe, anyone can sail around the world, experience the worst weather conditions and crazy winds, but nothing beats doing all that and pregnant! If you thought getting tossed around the boat with those wild waves was something, those pregnancy hormones have that beat! One day you’re up and the next you’re down.. it’s all normal and don’t feel like you’re alone I experienced it myself. So so proud of you for taking on this experience and pushing through, truly so inspiring and amazing! You both are going to be the best parents. Thank you for providing us with a look inside what it’s like and continuing to share your adventures! Sending amazing weather vibes your way! Fair winds friends! ⛵️💗🫂
Ah the trial by fire method to see how the boat and crew handles the stress of heavy weather during a crossing. What fun you’ve had. Good job team !!!! 😎⛵️👍👍
Hi Jordan Desiree and good crew, rough seas but as you know that's all part of it. Hang in there Desiree, you're good for it. Expect the worst and hope for the best. Just keep remembering you all are going through a highly unusual challenge. Thanks so much for sharing and look forward to your next. Keep looking for those ET spaceships in the skies of waters. God bless you all, over and out.
We also sail a Pacific Seacraft, and we also have a brand new Precision mainsail. Sailed from San Diego to Hawaii in June and had the same thing happen. The reefing lines chafed. When we got to Hawaii, we saw that the reefing grommets had rough edges. Precision took care of the problem immediately and at no cost to us. But it's scary to see your lines chafing in high seas and winds!
"Just hold on and have a little faith things will be better on the other side." I'm gonna start telling myself that as well cause that's what life is sometimes. Keep ur heads up!
My heart goes out to you gestating on a boat. Made me think of Joshua Slocum’s wife had all 4 of their kids aboard. Don’t know how she did it back in the day. Hang in there! You can do it. Btw, tainted love-that was hilarious.
Great video……felt like I was actually on the boat with you all, noticed I was rocking In chair as I watched - Lol Prayers going out to you Desiree…..hang in there!
I'm impressed with Desiree''s resilience. I get that we don't see it all in the video, but to cross the Atlantic ocean in a sailboat..... is the sign of a lady with moxie. You two rock. Keep on loving one another......
THIS IS NOT JUST A SAILING SHOW. THIS IS LIFE. KEEP GOING YOU ARE LIVING MY DREAM. FAIR WINDS AND CALM SEAS. KEEP THE SUN ON THE HORIZON. MY FRIENDS.
It is good to see someone else like myself in jen who enjoys stronger winds. Keep living the dream. From Glen in Australia.
May be this forged you guys together even more , well done, by far the most punishing seas of all the episodes , watching it for the 2nd time
Jen can crew for me any time. What a fabulous attitude. Take hold of every opportunity and run with it ..
In my 75 years one of the things I've found ring true: "The difference between despair and hope is a good nights sleep" Great video guys!!
That's true, but the good night's sleep can be hard to come by in those circumstances!
You guys are experiencing something that few people on earth ever get to experience. Seeing the stars at night, away offshore is amazing.
All of those things you've described, still sound way better than anyone's best day at work.
lol The out of control emotions of a soon to be new mother. what a wild ride, you got this, it will all seam trivial the moment you hold that wonderful bundle of a screaming joy in your arms. Stay positive.
Charlie and Jen are the best crew for a crossing. Both have such a fun attitude!
Thanks for the list of all members of Jordan and Desiree's sailing crew. They are helpful by their simple presence.
Who was clever enough to think about expansion of the crew? Your voyage is already a success and it remains such when reaching the final destination.
Desiree is such a champ! Wow 🤗❣️ Great crew for this crossing. Can't wait to see you all celebrate on the other side 😁

That "Tainted Love" thing made me laugh so hard it brought me to tears! So glad you are making it through this!

That was epic. How you guys kept going with all that thrown at you. I just wanted to wrap Desiree up in a hug, poor honey, pregnant AND on a horrible passage. You’re amazing all of you. Love Steve & Jen!
I shower, a Meal, and a good rest, is always a refresher, it's gift to wake up ready to overcome life's obstacles! Thank you for the video!
I'm too old for this stuff. I did the Pacific as a 19 year old soldier on the way to Korea on an old WW 11 Liberty ship for 32 days in the early winter of 1963. You guys have my 100% respect and admiration.
Learned so much. However, Tainted Love cover was the best thing ever.
I love that you guys show how it really is, not just showing all the sunshine and rainbows!
I hope when I do my first real ocean passage that I can have Jen's attitude! She's a real sailor!!
Love Jen’s humor and wit and great spirit! Also as always your analysis of things like your emotions and strengths and weaknesses.
One of your best episodes EVER!!! Very much all of the feels of a long passage!!! Very well narrated!!
steve needs a go-pro strapped to his head so we can see him do his gourmet cooking in real time one day!!
Hold on, have faith and everything will be okay. Those are perfect words of wisdom. As always have fun, be safe, and hang tough. Looking forward to next week. GO TEAM ATTICUS!
Jen is a natural cruiser. Perfect temperament for long-distance cruising.
Great job Crew. Shoving off , leaving civilization behind, and going outside your comfort zone to do something great, is what makes great things worth doing.
Best video yet. You guys are real sailors now. You have a lot of people rooting for you.
Beautiful closing statement Desire. It speaks to so much of life... as we much older sailors on land or sea know all too well. Dean
As they say in England ...your ace!!!
Thank you!
Respect to you all!
BEST episode ever !! Showing the best, the worse, the philosophical thinking etc … Amazing 🤩
Wise words for life Desiree. That is faith in a nutshell.
Well done team and a big hand to Desiree. The deeper you were the higher you fly once you are through. That’s also my life’s experience. I wish you a calm journey formte next days and can’t wait for the next episode. Take care, as usual.

DESIREE, YOU CAN DO IT. GO FOR IT!! GODSPEED...
Thanks for sharing the highs and lows of off shore sailing, so easy to just show sunny beaches and dolphins. Great episode.
Exactly correct, in my experience during the really tough times, is you keep reminding yourself "this is temporary" and too shall pass. The tough times allow all of us to truly enjoy the times when it is really good and to not take those blissful moments for granted.

Cheer up guys this is your dream!! Dez you will be better, just think about when that child is sailing with you!👍👍😊😊
Great video and loved the ending statements about just hold on and get through it. Jen is a rock solid crew mate!!
This must have been the best episode - and "still in the middle of the ocean!"
A great portrayal of an ocean passage, with the added dynamic of Desiree being pregnant, quite a challenge. A very well selected and prepared boat, skipper and great crew are fundamentals you have planned for. Now how about some treats for Oso, or is he on rations?
What y’all are describing is called “gaining experience”. Keep on keeping on and stay safe out there!
I really appreciate how real you guys are. Thanks.
I’ve always looked forward to each installment of your content, but this episode was the best so far. “Almost” felt like I was there with you guys. Great video!!! Keep them coming.
Thanks for being so authentic❤. And yes: when in deep despair, hold on. Times are changing ❤

Reef early is the best strategy, reefing twice or thrice is nothing to be embarrassed about. Keep your crew safe. You guys are doing really well.

Big like. Great that you have gotten through the storm. Looked rough on you all. I think you are half way there. Hang in there.
So, I am the first member of the official Jen fan club and all of you are after ;)
Oh Boy! To deal with sea sickness like you for several days is just grueling I am so sorry, You are Amazing. May the boat & the oceans take good care of you. Continue to have the time of your life.

Thanks Sandy!! Miss you guys!
Jordan seems in his element again. A relief to see desires ok again after her despondent spell. Think of Karin from delos... how she also went through her pregnancy whilst sailing. And now her nugget's a few years old...nice inspiration
Had to watch this episode again...loved it so much... beautiful videography. Atticus takes to the ocean like an old pro. I'm sure ya'll will have wonderful adventures ahead of you
Now that’s a sailing episode
Awesome footage! the best video so far IMO! Cap Jordan and the rest of the crew did a great job, sorry for Desire that went through the sea sickness for a while, great passage!
This video was raw, inspirational, shocking, and delightful all at the same time. Thanks for doing such a pro job at sharing this adventure!
Thank you Elle!
I have only one word for this episode....WOW. Great job taking us with you.
Great episode buds…..long time subscriber….. 👍👍👍
Great sailing, Jens awesome outlook love it,
Keep positive ❤️
Ah the trial by fire method to see how the boat and crew handles the stress of heavy weather during a crossing. What fun you’ve had. Good job team !!!! 😎⛵️👍👍
Hi Jordan Desiree and good crew, rough seas but as you know that's all part of it. Hang in there Desiree, you're good for it. Expect the worst and hope for the best. Just keep remembering you all are going through a highly unusual challenge. Thanks so much for sharing and look forward to your next. Keep looking for those ET spaceships in the skies of waters. God bless you all, over and out.
You all did all the work of setting the boat up to do its work! Well done, sailors!
Wonderful video ! The crew vibe is great. Face piles of trials with smiles. Carry on!
Fantastic sailing. Great job narrating the ups and downs. Looking forward to the next video.
Great video……felt like I was actually on the boat with you all, noticed I was rocking In chair as I watched - Lol
Prayers going out to you Desiree…..hang in there!
