@@SimpleLivingAlaskaI believe I remember that. 🕊🕊🎄Merry Christmas 🕊🕊🎄 Did y’all get another wheel of cheese? I’ve been away for a short time. Health reasons. Sure worried about y’all. Love the two of you. As always~Be Safe 🤗
Cabin that far out like that, it’s always best to leave wood for the next person and make it easy for the next person to start a fire in a hurry , encase it’s a emergency and someone needs to warm up fast , my dads old trapper cabin he always left unlocked and kindling and wood and fire starter was ready to go in case some one needed to warm up ,
In remote places like that, the next person might be dealing with a blizzard or something unforeseen and can’t go out to chop trees for heat. So leaving wood for them is just the right thing to do
What I really love about these remote escapades is that you really are on the edge of the civil world and yet you bring us along. I can't say how much that means to me - and I am sure that fellow followers agree. This is a part of the world we would NEVER get to. Thank you so much.
I know it is a rough life… but thank you for letting us live it vicariously through you…. Those of us that have the spirit but the body is just not able anymore. ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks for sharing!! Hope you're spending Christmas out here in this lovely lovely place. I do hope you two. Have a good Christmas this year and the weather treats you better than it did last weekend! I do hope you get your Caribou this week. Best wishes to you both for a safe weekend! ❤❤❤👳♀️❤❤❤
Dear Eric and Arielle, I just want to wish you both a Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and a Happy New Year 🎊. Thank you both so much for all the wonderful videos you have given us all. These past few years that I’ve been watching have given me great joy. Eric I can appreciate your work ethics . Your meticulous way you do your work around your property. I am retired from working construction at a utility company and ran a 960 Case Trencher year round in Minnesota for 29 yrs. Loved my outdoor job.Winter was challenging with frost grinding to get utilities in the ground for new homes. So I can appreciate all that you do in the elements you both deal with day in and day out. Arielle what can I say you never cease to amaze me. Your beautiful meals ,garden, and work right next to your husband. What a team you both are. I wish you a safe year ahead .
We just watched your July garden update from 2024, and I told my husband that if you guys made a cookbook with all or a lot of the recipes you have made on your channel, I would 100% buy it and cook my way through every recipe! Everything you make looks so good, and practical!!! I made pickled eggs for the first time ever because you kept making them in videos, and they were absolutely delicious! We have really been enjoying your channel for a good portion of this year, and are almost caught up to current events. Thank you for the awesome content!
Unexpected surprise! Merry Christmas Eric and Arielle. Hope this season is a good one for you two. It’s time for a huge THANK YOU for allowing us into a part of your life. 🌲✨🌲
Not gonna lie, I'm always a little bummed when y'alls video comes to an end. Thank you for sharing Alaska and your adventures with us. It's the only way I'll ever get to see the great white north. I hope y'all have a very Merry Christmas. I look forward to the next video. Hugs from Dallas TX.💜💜💜
You guys are amazing. Do anything and everything together. and at that end of the day, you laugh, cry, giggle, and still talk together.. hold hands and kiss. Keep on living.. Geoff Central ks. USA.
Day 4 sunrise was incredible. Thank you for another year of sharing your lives and adventures with us. Merry Christmas everyone and a peaceful and blessed new year. ❤❤To all! Lori
Merry Christmas and happy new year! My heart breaks for you with every hunting trip that comes back without a caribou or a moose. You work so hard and you plan so well - I have all fingers and toes crossed for the next time.
One of the things I love about the two of you is your commitment to always leaving things better than you found them. What a beautiful video. Hope the two of you have a great Christmas. It will be white for sure!
These are my favorites altho I love everything you do, but the cabin adventures, hunting, camping, fishing, snow mobile trails etc. are always a blast. Sending good Moose and all hunting vibes. You always make it interesting even if you don’t see much or get the prize. I think you are due very soon for good luck! Thanks for all you do. I was on vacation for Christmas and knew there was a new episode to watch and I had something to look forward to for several days just knowing I could watch you guys when I got home. You mean so much to so many of us I am sure. Sometimes I think about what if you guys stopped sharing with us and I just can’t even go there!😂. ❤❤❤❤. You are both such heroes and role models to me.
Greetings from Islamabad Pakistan.Amazing scenic journey in deep snow.Wow beautiful little refuge cabin covered with snow, good to see all basic facilities available and delicious dinners, breakfasts, lunch 😮 Thanks for sharing beautiful trip in deep snow.Keep traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, cooking, eating, canning, gardening and smiling 😊
A wonderful surprise to come home to almost an hour of Simple living! Happy holidays to you two, and I'm looking forward to a 2025 filled with more of my favorite internet couple. Joy and good health to you and yours!
I love you guys, and I'll be here (a couple of years so far) until, well, until I ain't here no more. Watching you two munch out on your awesome nana pudding is making me want to attack and finish my Christmas cheesecake...nope. One of the best channels on YT. Thanks 46:51 INSANE sunset!
I'm watching this on Christmas Eve in Smits Falls, Ontario. We got 8-10 cn of snow overnight ... just enough to make me use my snowblower ... my only winter exercise these days. I also have a wood stove that I start before I go out. Yes, I do kinda live vicariously through you guys. When I lived in Timmins, Ontario years ago, winter was fun with my snow machine and trail rides and winter wildlife and 'bush bars' and great people. I learned(poorly) how to cross-country ski. I'm not a hunter but friends gave me moose & venison 'cause I looked like I needed it(didn't) but I sure enjoyed it. Merry Christmas you guys! Be safe and warm!
One of the things I love most about this channel, and I overlook it myself often, is that you guys aren't sponsored by anyone. There are the normal YT ads yes, but so many other channels have their own sponsorship ads that are part of the video in addition, and it's so nice that you guys don't have those. I'm sure you get many offers, but I really appreciate that you keep it purely just the content.
This is a very beautiful area and a small but nice cabin with a warm little fireplace and this is definitely a winter wonderland for hunting and beautiful scenery to look at. have a nice warm Christmas and until next time thank you Arielle and Eric.🏔️🇺🇲🎄
Watching your videos always reminds me of how much time I spent wearing a head lamp when I lived in AK! Probably explains my continuous quest for the right one... bright with good reach, adjustable lumens, light weight, comfortable head band, and rechargeable!
Awesome video!!! One of my favorite easy on-the-go desserts is mason jar lemon blueberry cheesecake! Whip up some instant cheesecake pudding with some lemon (zest or juice, whatever you fancy), crush graham crackers on the bottom of a mason jar, and pour in the pudding with blueberries. Pop it outside in Alaskan temps and it'll be done in no time! Perfect for camping. :)
The scene just after the cool looking trap was amazing out in the vast openness. It looked like you could be on another planet with the sun peaking through the clouds.
you two have such a wonderful connection with your inner child, so much fun with this video, soooooooo much peace with all the beautiful shots of nature at its best, soooo much deliciousness with all the wonderful food you prepare and all the amazin work you onstantly do. And what is absolutely great, no drama, no stupid comments about how hard life is, and this always smile and happiness you share with open hearts. I love you guys, your videos fill me with hope and laughter and desire to work and do the things i have to do here in my little house here in Normandie. Bless you both!!!

But it is always fun and educational with you two I love the meals you make ! But I was so sure you were going to get a Moose but it is better safe than sorry for sure . Merry Christmas, and happy New Year! I really appreciate all of your efforts to go on these adventures/hunts. I noticed all of the stuff you have to load up and bring with you to make it possible. All of the food you will eat, all of the cooking pans, right down to the veggie peeler, glass pan for the banana pudding. It must take you forever to collect and pack up when leaving and coming back. Thank you for all you do to make the videos, they are so well done and I always am looking forward to your next one. Stay safe out there.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you both! I love your vlogs. I got my mom-in-law watching and we both love it. Im Floridian and she's a Michigander, i guess we both love the snow. Arielle i love your humor. Thank you for your time.

I really admire you two for staying so active in the winter and enjoying Alaska even when it's so cold out. Have so enjoyed following along with you two in 2024. May you have a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year!

I agree ....your work and time is very much appreciated
Indeed, these two are really hard working, adventurous individuals.
it certainly is, a lot of details, can't forget anything!! and the trek they make is also a challenge....
Do you guys still own a cabin? I remember your trips to it from the other location. I remember the outhouse building episodes.
Such beauty!!
Your rule of leaving it better than you found it is awesome. I don’t meet many people like that any more and it is nice to know that some still exist.
These cabins typically operate on that 🙂 out of all of them we have been to only one did not have wood and was left a mess.

That’s the Scout motto
It's common sense.
I always admire how you replenish the wood to help the next visitor.
It’s common courtesy to do so. Its etiquette for those kinds of places
