You are not rhe only ones who give birth in a strange country. Trust in God and know that there are very good doctors and hospitals allover the world. All the best to you.
I know your question is more of a rhetorical one … but as a parent of two young ones and a long time fan, I think you guys will make very good parents & I’d say your sailing lifestyle is much more of a plus if anything. Cheers
Never let children hold you back from your dreams. Their a hurdle, not a halt. Far too many people completely give up on their dreams on the excuse that they can't solely due to having children. If you truly want something, then you will always find a way to make it happen. Always pursue your dreams.
Your kid, your choice. They get a say when they have earned it, just as you had to. Best of luck. We crossed the Pacific with 2 children 6 and 9 when we left. Great times.
So glad you made it! Your child is so lucky to have you as parents. She will get to be with you 24/7 which is a benefit in itself. Living so close to nature and learning about the natural world is going to be so amazing for her! So happy for you all!
Children are the sum of every parents choices, and then add their own flavor. Your daughter will be curious, kind, creative, and fearless because of you two, and will LOVE the whole world. Enjoy the ride!
Staying calm and at peace in the coming Months with a little one is going to be trying to say the least! especially at sea, but after a few Months it will feel normal and grateful for the NEW normal.
I’ve watch this channel for years. Love it. Jordon I’ve noticed over the years you might have a little bit of anxiety issues. It is really inspiring to see that you overcome it. I suffer the same and that’s why my boat doesn’t go more than the 20 mile radius I know really well.
Nelson and I have been following your journey for a while now. You have become a part of our family. We wish peace, happiness, health to you and your baby, and continued adventures in your lives!
When I was a child, my father used to take me out on a boat for weeks at a time. Those were some of the best years of my life and to this day, I still miss the water.
@@limitededition3278 Agreed. But I am having trouble finding something I an afford and finding a place to put it while I fix it up/ install a starlink antenna so I could work from anywhere. Sailing can be the best thing imaginable, but the worst if the weather hammers you. Congratulation on getting to ground and the family way very soon. You are very brave...

I thought it was an awesome boat when you bought it and even more impressed now. I'm glad it's working out well for you. That scene of buildings as you approached Malta was beautiful.
Good luck for your baby. You will be entering a new and exciting journey as parents. All descisions have pros and cons. Just make the best you can. We live in a city and yearn for my children to experience nature like you do.
I’ve met a lot of boat kids in my travels. They were all way ahead of their landlubber peers in every way; & ones I’ve kept in touch with grew up to be awesome adults.
Yes Med can be rough - the steppest waves that I ever had... My 2 cents (as a parent of 2) - raising kids is challenging regardless... Yes, having all land hause features (lots of hot water, washing machine, dishwasher etc.) helps but often you have to trade that for time with your family. We often forget we cannot get time back. This firs years will be hard but also priceless, and shape this small humans to become an amazing people! PS I was camping with my little ones under 1 and 3 for weeks. Being on a 40 feet boat would be a luxury for me :)
I love following along with you 3 (4 now), UMA, Sailing GBU, and Adventures of an old seadog. Occasionally I will watch a Delos, but you were the first sailing channel I fell in love with, and now just hoping for a big cash windfall to live the same. Vicariously yours,
Raising a child on the boat will be better than moving a child onto a boat. You are-- how you were raised. I have a feeling being raised on a boat from birth will make the child a better sailor than you in no time. Yanking them away from long time established friends would be harder. Having a nomadic lifestyle will work, providing play time at anchorages with new friends all the time.
I thought the same thing. I didn't realize we were this behind in the journey. The cool thing is that even with youtube we get to follow this journey. I'm sure it's been hard to do all they've done outside of Patreon updates. We are with you and I'm loving seeing how this is going!

We missed your video this week. As a parent with my son born in Italy, we thought it was going to slow us down. In most part it did not. W took him to Venice with in two weeks of birth and a sail on a 30 meter along the Italian coast. We have been many places and would not change. You two have family support and they may be over there or on the way for support. We lived in a different era, very little phones, slow mail and no computers. We survived and so will you. Enjoy life.

Raising a child on an adventure boat is precarious on the one hand and all those goodies you listed on the other; when the time comes you will make the decision that is best for you! I enjoy your adventures and hope you continue to post, be it as a weekender or full time sailor!
Enjoy life.
Good luck with the baby! Nice trip! All arrived safe.
Wishing you the best in welcoming a new family member! You can question your decisions all you want and you can also decide to go a different route at any time once the baby is here. You guys have come this far I don't believe anyone thinks your doing it wrong, if anything a lot of people would love to change places with you! Good luck and God Bless Atticus.
You have to name you girl MALTA! It is a stunning name! Isnt it?All the best for you three!
Perfect Timing Project Atticus!! Have an amazing day!
Can you imagine coming into that Maltese port under sail like they did for hundreds of years prior to the luxury of an engine? Glad you guys made it safely!
First awesome you guys were able to hookup with Uma, but really looking forward to the next journeys with the soon to be next crew member. Be well and healthy. Your new child is going to rock you world.
